I'm like Scott if you don't get what this man need and get your little ant family out of here, forget the 5 yrs you lost sir....timelines and the multiverse is at stake. I like the fact that in the trailer a multitude of Ant-Mans are helping Scott and looks like Hope and a multitude of Wasps are going to save Scott. Cassie probably going to go at it with MODOK.

Scott gives Kang what he needs then Kang puts Scott in a timeline where he didn't get trapped in the quantum realm during the blip and is with Cassie for those 5 yrs....but at what cost? At least he still have Cassie.

The main thing holding Kang back is himself. He Who Remains created the TVA to keep everything pruned and in check. Once he died, the Multiverse opened up. He Who Remains talked about the battle he had with his variants in Loki

Remeber, this is in the Quantum Realm which isn’t part of the multiverse. It’s like the sacred timeline that went around Kang’s castle in Loki. So this is why this version of Kang needs Scott, those rings you see Antman trying to enter are the same rings in Shang Chi and Ms Marvel! I think it’s all connected and it’ll help Quantum Realm Kang to time travel.

Okay, two theories as to how Kang knows Scott -- 1) A variant of Scott probably never got out of the Quantum Realm in the first movie. 2) Modok is Darren Cross aka Yellowjacket. Kang made Modok out of him, and Cross told him about Scott.

I really hopes Scott makes it out alive from this movie. For the first time in a while i feel scared for him.
The thing in the rings is suspected to be what's known as the "forever crystal" in the comics. How ant man turned into two, then millions of variants of himself is exactly why Kang doesn't want to get close to this. Kang doesn't want to start another multidimensional war with himself again as explained in Loki. He wants to end it and be the only Kang left.
Seeing Kang go crazy in this trailer gets me so excited for Avengers Kang Dynasty and Avengers Secret Wars he's gonna be such a menace in those movies and if the Avengers thought Thanos was the worst they fought wait till they meet Kang cause he's even more worse than Thanos and I can't wait for that!!!! Also I have a theory that He Who Remains is the one that trapped him in the Quantum Realm to put an end to the Multiversal War and now that he's dead he's no longer able to keep Kang trapped in the Quantum Realm. My favorite line from this trailer was "you thought you could win?" Kang talking smack to Scott lol god I can't wait to see one of my favorite Marvel villains on the big screen soon!!!! 😩
Another thing a lot of people forget about Kang is that the majority of his abilities in the comics are because of his gear. It makes since that someone coming to him with gear that he most definitely can retrofit to help his goals would cause him to act the way he’s going to be in this movie
IMHO I believe what Kang is looking for and needs was in Loki season 1 we just didn't realize it. Didn't the Kang variant have a time travel like gadget on his left hand in Loki?
the origin story of kang is that hes just a regular dude from the future who stumble upon the power to time travel, he gets to where he is right now with multiple variants because he abuses time travel so many times and cheat death and alter history because of time travel ( think of flash if hes abusing his time traveling power for his own gains and benefits ). Everytime he alter time it creates a new timeline and universe which is how he created the variant.
all of this just because some random guy abuse the power of time travel.
It could be that this Kang is in the middle of the Kang Wars and can't leave the Quantum Realm because of the other kangs outside his realm. I think he needs antman to get something to tip the war in this Kangs favor.
I really hope Scott does not become the person who causes all the strife. Like Scott is going to be the jar jar who gives the emperor all of his power.
he needs the quantumrealm core so he can time travel as he wants and he needs scoot to make him small because the core is big scoot is the only one who can do that because of his outfit
Kang just a human in a suit no power just genius level intelligence and tactical prowess. His suit gives him abilities since it a from the 31st century
Kang is not your average human thou. For starters he has an enhanced physiology that exponentially decreases the rate at which he ages making him relatively inmortal hence Inmortus. He also one of the most skilled fighters of Marvel. Putting him on par with Captain America.
You said he is a genius but he is a super genius from the future with access to all the knowledge available to time and space. He is on a level of his own for this reason. He has one weakness and that's his egomaniacal code of honor.
So no Kang is not just a human in a suit with no power. He is a super genius who commands an army of trillions and its arguably the greatest military strategist of all times with the ability to live forever.

Nathaniel richards is just a human scholar from 31st century who time traveled and conquered due to advanced tech after her failed to return home and continued becoming Kang the conquerer. His physical anatomy does not change on his technology. Now in reference to mcu trailer clearly show a struggle physically fighting with ant man as you can see this suit damaged. Probably what happens is they destroy the suit and think they stop his plan but its to late hence the line " so you think you can win". Lets revisit this comment feb 17 and show you why

The time-keepers lured Kang to take a place at their side in exchange of true inmortality not the inmortal loophole Kang always used to preserve itself.
Bottomline is humans aren't inmortal Kang becoming inmortal completely beats your argument that he is normal.
His physical anatomy is Changed. Humanity in his time already age at a slower rate that would be super human for a 21st century human. Now not even addressing his other cybernetic feats.

I think what Kang Needs from Antman is something that happened back in ant man 1 when he first went sub atomic , he must have eternally obtained part of the energy that Kang had in that zone and took it back just like in Antman 2 when the mother came back with powers .

I think the kang that we’re seeing, is trying to get Scott’s help to maybe get his time chair back and defeat a more powerful kang(who has his time chair) that’s in the quantum realm. Only thing that makes sense. This is the multiverse saga after all. This isn’t gonna be the only variant of kang we see, that’s for sure. I wonder if we see this kang in Loki season 2????

I hope they don’t pull “the different variant of kang thing” in every project he’s in. It’s more of an emotional impact to see the same villian interact with different people. Like the kang in this should be the kang that is the big bad. He shouldn’t be defeated and then a new one pop up in other projects.

I wasn’t surprised that Marvel chose Scott to be the MCU Ant-Man because Hank has had controversy as part of his character ever since the old comic where he slapped Janet.
So them skipping over to Scott while having Hank as a supporting character in the movies made sense.
Also if Scott managed to somehow defeat Kang in the film I wouldn’t be surprised,l. A second Kang could appear afterwards to take up where this one left off.
There’s thousands of Kangs after all.

Matt Modak? You mean MODOK? Matt Murdock is Daredevil. Matt Modak doesn't exist. MODOK is Darren Cross from the first film, which is what they changed.
Maybe a good analogy of Kang's dilemma is like a fish trapped in a bowl-- needing a line (time) or another net (universe) as a tool to get out of...?

5:15 What does he need that he can't (or won't) get himself? Most likely these things, right here, 2:19. Haven't we seen these before, last phase? When we saw them, however, they were much, much smaller. Aren't these the Ten Rings?
How do you beat someone more powerful than you? Scott knows he can't beat him out right. Scott told us his plan in the trailer, he just needs to make sure that both he and Kang lose. A loss for Scott is him not getting his eight years back (three years in prison and 5 years trapped in the Quantum Realm). A loss for Kang is him not getting the thing he sent Scott to retrieve. I think we're going to see Scott's story come full circle because that's his superpower, burglary. Might we be privy to the biggest heist we've ever seen in this movie? Scott's slight of hand is on point. We saw a little of it in Ant-Man and the Wasp, but I think we're going to see how good Scott really is because I think we're going to see him take Kang's machine from him, and watch Scott lose it across the Multiverse, across time and space. If the Ten Rings are indeed that golden glowing orb made of rings we see in the trailer, Scott scattering them across the Multiverse would explain why they were on Earth 1,000 years ago during Genghis Khan's reign, it'd also explain why Aisha's bangle on Earth and it's matching pair galaxies away with Carol--yes, I think the bangle and the 10 rings are connected. I wouldn't be surprised if they work other things we haven't even seen yet like the gem of Cyytorak, as this phase or the next needs to bring in the Mutants. Scott's actions might be why we even have mutants at all and why only some universe have them and others don't.

Ant Man has been a part of the Avengers, in the comics and the animated series. They have both Hank and Scott in the comics. As far as the movie I think that Hank will die, Cassie will die and then Kang will have the power to bring her back.
