Those early ones could use a reimagining. i love guardian.( I saw them in us last may. Im still salty they didnt play a dark passage.) but some of those tracks feel dated. like majesty, is legitimenly a banger! However battalions of fear is one of their weakest songs. and if it just had slight tweaks, it would be on the same level; leaning a bit less on thrashy i like how hansi did lyrics, but some of his vocals are questionable at best. I also feel this way about follow the blind. See vallhalla makes my coworker, who hates metal bob his head. But the title track, could use a bit more work. maybe move to a heavy darker sound and again lean less off thrash. Mind you both. albums are still good. and i still enjoy both. I also realized i may not like trash metal. Now off engage in jolly cooperation with fellow undead
I am by no means one of those “all re-recordings are bad and original is always the best” type of people (unlike many others I’m actually above allowing nostalgia to influence my opinions to such ridiculous degree), however I will say that of all the albums in the Blind Guardian discography to re-record I’m not sure Somewhere Far Beyond would have been my first choice (don’t get me wrong, I’m loving what I have heard from this so far). I honestly think the first three albums could’ve benefited more from this treatment
Damals mein erstes Album von BG, unzählige Male rauf und runter gehört und alle vorherigen Alben nachgekauft. Schöne Erinnerungen und jetzt weiß ich ja, was am 2.August auf der Einkaufsliste steht.
Rare moment to hear Hansi off key on a word. "And the children will LOVE your singing.." It makes me feel better that he's normal and it is rehearsal afterall. He's still an incredible vocalist. ❤
@@ІгорПавловський-ш3з Can you explain what you mean by that? Like fake and pop sounding? Hansi is one of my favorite singers ever. He gave good advice on being sick and singing down am octave at times. He's very transparent.
@@24toofastI meant that Hansi is pretty much the only real singer in today's power metal. All the rest are snotty. Both in terms of vocals and music. Power metal is dead, todey...Unfortunately...
@@ІгорПавловський-ш3з Ok, I respect your opinion but what do you mean by REAL? Did you used to love Andre Matos? Tobias Sammett? Many singers in Ayreon, Russell Allen?
@@24toofast That's exactly what I had in mind. If you put them next to Hansi, they will look like a school- pop choir. This applies to both the timbre of the voice, its presentation and the style of the vocal parts. Their place, somewhere on the backing vocals with Madonna, or with Enrique Iglesias... But not in metal... Even Bon Jovi, has more of a "rock" in his voice than them... It's sad but true...
Braucht kein Mensch.
And what's the point of complaining about this? They rehearsed the album for the anniversary tour; then re-record the album; it might reach new audiences; those not interested are not forced to listen to it; those intereted can listen to a new version... So, what's the problem here? Ah, the old band-manager-fan syndrome. I see, I see.
Well it will demonstrate how much better things were back in '92 :P Anyways, the original will always be there so this is what they felt like doing, more power to them.
Imagine still being a Blind Guardian fan after Hansi said about his fans during covid, and then abandoning Demons and Wizards for political clout rather than being metal and standing by his friend. Kindly gfy, sir.
I think you must re-recording the first two albums !!
nah, Hansi lost much of his voice. It wouldnt be as epic as the original
@@HaleftHaut Agree
1). First 2 albums are the most boring. I hate old school and prefer more orchestra. 2) Re-recording anything sucks.

Hansi sounds amazing! 🎤
Sound is excellent 👌
Still not sure whether I need a re-recording of my favourite BG album.
A crisper more organic production would greatly enhance it. My only problem with the original is that it sound really flat
I'd say the one that needs re-recording is Follow The Blind. I'd love a new take on it's thrashy goodness.
Nevertheless, this is very cool 😁

Bitte bitte ja !!! Was freut es mein Guardian Herz sehr, das ihr das gemacht habt. Gruß aus Bonn.
Love it!
Can't wait for the re-recording of this masterpiece!
Awesome, guys. Been in my life for over 20 years. Wow, we're old now.
Sehr geil!
Please revisit the Imaginations from the Other Side

Please, revisit other albums as well - TFT, IFTOS, NIME, ANATO❤❤

What's the point of this? The original's already perfect. No doubt you'll do a great job, but there's nothing a re-recording may add.

i'm with you! follow the blind and tales from the twilight world would have needed the re-recording a lot more than somewhere far beyond
Or even BTRM or LOTDL - they both sounds too bad
