actually same remember being on seventh grade a friend of mine giving me the album for the weekend after liking one of the songs and listening to it non stop on repeat
I got into metal listening to two albums. Ride the Lightning (Metallica) and Somewhere Far Beyond. I haven’t listen to Guardian for quite some time and the moment I search “somewhere far beyond” on RUclips hoping to listen to the legendary track I bump onto this. Wow! Well done Guardian for revisiting! Amongst my fav albums ever along with Tales from the Twilight world, imaginations and Nightfall in Middle Earth.
It is hard to say what I like most about this album... so many memories... back in the days it was so hard to find it in Italy. It was a real treasure! So preciousssss :)
Somewhere Far Beyond is the first BG Album that I've listened back in 1992. Such a great time! Fantastic album with the best song ever: "Somewhere Far Beyond" I love the story from S.King about the Dark Tower. Fits perfect with BGs music.
The album of my life! This was the first album I heard from the band, and the one that made me love the genre. Thanks for all the good times there were and those to come!!!
What an unexpectedly great idea - some of the songs sound even better than the originals! Hansi's voice(s) got darker, some of the solo harmonies are slightly different, a few mixing/mastering touches here and there and the whole thing takes on renewed life... If this isn't a testament to the timeless value of this band, I don't know what is! You're loved wherever you've retained fans and you deserve every bit of it!
