Speaking of Game Chasers, one of my favorite episodes of Game Sack was the Ys review you did with Happy Console Gamer, the Game Chasers parody you did at the end where you raided HCG's game room was so funny. I really want to see you guys parody more RUclips channels.
I was able to watch this stream live! It was a lot of fun! I normally work at night so I probably won't get to see many more streams but hopefully I'll get to see more. Good to see the support from the viewers as well.
Awesome watching you play Joe! Would be awesome to see you play Subterrania. You guys mentioned the game very briefly back in August 2012, would be cool to see you talk about it in a future episode!
Joe you should do more of these again but I was thinking/hoping you aren't/don't because you got a lady friend...😁 I know they keep us busy and want all the time for them. Long live Game Sack
The magic for the psycho cannon is an always active extended range and I believe it also stops enemy projectiles......pretty useful if you ask me. Also, hold up when you grab the key to get 'Nice Catch'. Nice to see an old Genesis playthrough.
I think his comment at about 33 minutes “stupid Yuji Naka” should be used all the time in everyday life, even for things he has nothing to do with, hahaha
Hello! Just found your channel. Never seen a full playthrough of this legendary game. I thought it was hard as nails as a kid, but I never had it. Rebought a Sega megadrive series one running on scart In HD and through a sound system. With a mega everdrive x3 cart. Look forward to watching more videos. You seem like a guy I want a pint of beer with! Cheers! From the UK
I played this game(to death!) when it came out in Oct 1989. I was 23 years old stationed at an Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. I bought the console for $189 and the GnG game cartridge was $49.99. I played it for about 2-3 weeks at my pregnant gf's apartment and I had orders to South Korea. So, before I left OKC I took both the console and cartridge back to Toys R Us as I couldn't allow my pregnant gf to think I was spending extravagantly while she was practically destitute. I had to leave in late Oct I drove all the way to Missouri to take 2 weeks leave. While on leave in Missouri I was super bored so I bought the console and cartridge AGAIN and played it at my parents house, then right before I left for S. Korea I wrapped up the console/game and sent it to my forwarding address in S. Korea. I got there Nov 10th and it took about 2 weeks to get settled in my new barracks before I could start playing it again. Man, it was so hard and so fun to play this game all the way to Christmas 1989. I had it connected to my 27 inch Hitachi TV and overly sophisticated stereo the Genesis had that Yamaha chip is sounded fantastic. Man that game was super hard I died THOUSANDS of times before finally beating it. 35 years ago this month jesus where did the time go?
I'll admit it - I prefer the feel of the 3-button controller to the 6-button controller (except of course when it comes to games that use the X, Y, and Z buttons)
Joe I think you will love Cursed Castilla EX.. I have the 3DS version, was a couple bucks on sale at the time, incredibly responsive controls.. It's on many systems.. It's obviously a labour of love and tribute to these games. I highly recommend it.
You don't actually need the Psycho Cannon to fight Loki. That is the great myth of this game and belief in it always makes the second loop more frustrating than it needs to be. It's still an awesome weapon when you have the gold armor, though.
Game Sack, Joe I loved your coverage of Ghosts & Ghouls, that was an amazing game back in the day (& you played it with exceptional skill), but what possessed you not to re-sell Greedog as soon as you played it?! That was sooo painful to watch (especially the underwater aquarium level ) & I imagine even more painful to play!
Im good at this version aswell but i tried the sega saturn version and its seemed alot harder. Either more enemies worse weapon drops or making you start over in the middle of the stage when you die from the boss. Its something i swear. Capcom generation 2 game in particular.
your arcade board has been flashed with the U.S set roms. thats why you start on the boss when you die, same as the genesis. check mame for different sets. something else to say about this game(all versions) whats inside the treasure chests is not random, most people dont realise this. what does change whats inside, is if you are wearing armor or not when you shoot it. also you are pretty dang awesome at the game.
It was cheap of Sega but if that's all that's holding you back from Vectorman then just make a proper clam shell for it, that's what I'm going to do because the cardboard boxes did not survive well in the ones I've found but many great titles nonetheless. You give me hope that I'll beat this game some day but such a chore the twice through aspect.
Ghouls'n Ghosts is an alright game, but have you heard of our lord and savior Black Tiger? It's almost a forgotten Capcom game and that's probably because it never had any ports for 8/16-bit consoles, it did see ports on most microcomputers at the time. It's included in various PS2/PS3 and Wii compilations etc. Check it out and maybe stream it?
Man how many times you think you've played thru this game Joe?! I would think you would know it so well you would be bored of it. Same gameplay over and over and over! You know everything about to come up or attack you so, every jump, every chest. Should be easy peasy!
Five seconds in and I'm not seeing Joe beat Ghouls 'n Ghosts on his childhood Genesis and instead I'm treated to him playing the game instead. When you say you're going to beat a game on your Genesis I expect to see blood and broken plastic.
Why not the Super Nes version...because Ghouls n' Ghosts is a better game. The atmosphere to the sound is just better than that reverbed slow down filled nonsense of the Snes game. I have this cracking in surround sound in 4K right now! Not that the screen makes a difference...but there you go. This was my second Sega Genesis game in 1989!
Happy new year from UK Joe, and congratulations on beating it

I watched it live too. They only voted for Green Dog because it's a meme. It's a horrible shitty game.
These streams are gold! Really enjoying them. They're pretty hot.
In short, I enjoy hot golden streams.
Allah be praised.
Wish they would do them more often.
Really enjoy the stream joe the Sega mega drive / Genesis was my favourite growing up awesome
Whenever Joe and Dave empty their generous Sack for us, there's always some hot golden streaming to be had.
@@davebladegun3009he said golden streams not goat
I’ve been watching this channel for 6 years!
Awesome watching you play Joe! Would be awesome to see you play Subterrania. You guys mentioned the game very briefly back in August 2012, would be cool to see you talk about it in a future episode!
"I'm a professional!". Tries to play the demo lol
Just kidding, nice video!
Respect! And excellent GD bonus haha! Sorry I missed the live stream! Happy new year!
I feel bad joe had to play greendwag at the end !!!
Joe you should do more of these again but I was thinking/hoping you aren't/don't because you got a lady friend...😁
I know they keep us busy and want all the time for them.
Long live Game Sack
Awesome run, Joe! And definitely best versio of the series!
This was one of your best streams. I can’t believe the chat actually made you play GRRREENDAWG 😂 ❤️
So much good sack
Joe, people just like the way you say "Green Dog!" LOL
Playing this while I fall asleep. Something comforting knowing joe is with me while I doze off
Well played mate, I still can't beat this game. I beat super ghouls and ghosts on the SNES a good few times back in the day.
Awesome skills, yo!
Epic.
I think people just want to hear you say "Green Dawg", I know I do
Welcome to Tudessssville bro! Population one, Greeeeeennnndogggg! 😆
I defeated Ghouls N' Ghosts on PROFESSIONAL MODE. I like that the game puts what mode you're playing on in the corner.
57:48 The timing was perfect!
Green Joe! I mean, Green Dog!

This and Page Master were the first MegaDrive games I bought when I got a MegaDrive 2 for my 16th birthday in '06!
I prefer this to the super slow ghouls n ghost... On the Super Nintendon't!
I love this game as much as I love it.

Joe, what are your thoughts on Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection?
I'll admit it - I prefer the feel of the 3-button controller to the 6-button controller (except of course when it comes to games that use the X, Y, and Z buttons)
Beat Ghost N Goblins without dying. If I can do it, you can to. ;-)
What ever you say friend. Assumption is a very bad habit. I'm also comparing my favorite game of Ghost N Goblins.
That cracked me up when you died and thought you beat Loki.
Take a key for coming in!
I loved Greendog when I was a kid.
One of the hardest platform games ever. But so rewarding.
iam3mondoot Among the games in this franchise, this is the easiest one.
One of the hardest games in general.
Joe I think you will love Cursed Castilla EX.. I have the 3DS version, was a couple bucks on sale at the time, incredibly responsive controls.. It's on many systems.. It's obviously a labour of love and tribute to these games. I highly recommend it.
Where’s the game u playin and where is the web cam? Without the pointers i’m lost..
Youre crazy and good job
Man oh man this stream is awesome is nice is incr...wait what the...IS GREENDOG IN MY SCREEN?!?!? How dare you handsome?!
came for ghouls n ghosts, found GREEEENDAAAAWG. very satisfied.
You don't actually need the Psycho Cannon to fight Loki. That is the great myth of this game and belief in it always makes the second loop more frustrating than it needs to be. It's still an awesome weapon when you have the gold armor, though.
The American version has more check points than the Japan version... this goes for both the PCB and the Genesis/MD version.
Would love to see Joe (or anyone) beat GHOST N GOBLINS arcade version with no cheats.
Norfair? I didn't know he was playing Metroid...
Does the bonus stage music in Green Dog sound like Under the Sea from Little Mermaid to anyone else? 1:11:20
Enjoy the stream joe I always love Sega mega drive / Genesis gave me good times & memories
Please do a video about your PCB collection!
You should do more livestreaming!
Game sack my bundle of joy :)
Where has Dave been?
Im good at this version aswell but i tried the sega saturn version and its seemed alot harder. Either more enemies worse weapon drops or making you start over in the middle of the stage when you die from the boss. Its something i swear.
Capcom generation 2 game in particular.
Greetings from Brazil!
Hey Joe, nice comb over
I've never gotten past the first level on any of the games in this series. They're ridiculously difficult.
200 Argentine Peso equals
10.746 US Dollar
Awesome!!! :-D
your arcade board has been flashed with the U.S set roms. thats why you start on the boss when you die, same as the genesis.

The music to green dog is so bad I thought my microwave was beeping.
Nice catch
Joe, you would have gotten 10x the views and a million subs if you called this "Joe Plays GreeeeeeenDoggggg and some other game"
Thats amazing dude!!! U are my second favorite Nerd, who Beat the Shit out of the NES Games.
Happy new ;) !!!!!!! JEAR¡¡!!!!!!¡!!!!:)))
I wouldn't even play Greendog for a charity event.
Someone needs to make a rom hack of this game with the cd music for him.
17:51 I always knew Joe was the bald guy from Game Sack! I just knew it!
Do more of these videos!
More greendog!
Joe I've played the absolute f out of this game! Do you stream on RUclips or somewhere else
Hi there from Poland!
+Game Sack
Can you beat the original arcade version now?
I suck at this game but maybe I should try because I didn't tried that often
Streets of Reggae 2?
REMAKE!!!!
Games like these made me a glutton for punishment
The goodess of battle.
Ghouls'n Ghosts is an alright game, but have you heard of our lord and savior Black Tiger? It's almost a forgotten Capcom game and that's probably because it never had any ports for 8/16-bit consoles, it did see ports on most microcomputers at the time.

Garfield: Caught In The Act
Should really call this Joe beats his Game Sack. Heyoooo
"This room is a trap devisut by Satan!"
So if im 20 years old, im living my childhood?
Hi there... from Chile!
I always felt that Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts while obviously graphically superior was a bit of a step backwards gameplay wise from Ghouls 'n Ghosts.
So greendog is basically talespin
I want to see this beaten on a 32X.
Wow!! tat blue flame tho
yea all good
Good luck with the game, its hard, but I know you aware of it
I guess its the Makaimura series really
you play very good this game that is harder than shinobi
Hey Joe!
So much easier than the NES predecessor or SNES sequel. But those are TOO HARD, making this much more fun.
Man how many times you think you've played thru this game Joe?! I would think you would know it so well you would be bored of it. Same gameplay over and over and over! You know everything about to come up or attack you so, every jump, every chest. Should be easy peasy!

Greeeeeendoog! ahahahahaha
HEY Joe
Majik majik armour whuuuut
Does Dave do any streams on a real console?
I had the japanese version on my mega drive, never beat this
Why not the Super Nes version...because Ghouls n' Ghosts is a better game. The atmosphere to the sound is just better than that reverbed slow down filled nonsense of the Snes game.
I have this cracking in surround sound in 4K right now! Not that the screen makes a difference...but there you go. This was my second Sega Genesis game in 1989!
Joe BEATS Ghouls N Ghosts? That's a spoiler! :(
Just got the arcade version on switch for 1.99.
