Any kids preparing for A-levels who took Physics/Chem/Maths should be able to answer these questions. These questions are the easy ones in A level's standard. This is testing more on being familiar with the theories and formulas than about intermediate problem solving and deduction skills.

    Comments for Question 5
    For Q5a:
There are 4 colours, and we choose 1 out the 4 colours 4 times. This yields 4^4 or 256 combinations.
    For Q5b:
You start with 4 colours. each time you pick one colour, you remove it from the selection. Hence each next round has 1 less option, until there is only 1 option - the last unselected colour. This leads 4 × 3 × 2 × 1, or 24 different ways to paint the 4 cards all 4 specified colours.
    For Q5c:
Reference the working in Q5b but replace the last option with a copy of the 1st option. With 1 unique colour removed, the number of different ways divides once by 2, yielding 12 ways to paint Red Red Blue Black.
    For Q5d:
In Q5c we determined 12 ways to paint 4 cards 3 different colours, for each doubled colour. As there are 3 ways to double a colour (RdRdBuBk, RdBuBuBk, RdBuBkBk), you have 36 ways to paint 4 cards any 3 specified colours. Since there are 4 ways to choose 3 out of 4 colours, you obtain 4 × 3 × 12 or 144 ways to paint 4 cards in 3 different colours.
    For Q5e:
There are 6 ways of choosing 2 colours out of 4 - RBu, RBk, RY, BuBk, BuY, BlY. For each pair of colours, there are 6 ways to paint 2 in 1 colour and 2 in the other colour, but 8 ways to paint 3 in one colour and 1 in the other colour. This adds up to 14 ways to paint 4 cards in 2 specified colours. Furthermore there are 6 ways to choose 2 colours out of 4, hence you have 14 × 6 or 84 ways to paint 4 cards in 2 different colours.

    Q1: Can count manually. Get 13 squares. Each square is 2 units, so 13 x 2 = 26. Kind of integral. ∫ v dt = s
Q2: Whichever accepts H+ is base.
    Q3: Q = mcΔθ
    Q4: Quadratic formulae.
Q5: Use combination and permutations? - sorry not my strength
Q6: Use first derivation to find vertices of x. Then just sub it into f(x)
Q7 I forget... even uni math.

But good thing is only their admission (EJU) is tough, overcome that and the study program will be quite chill.

    4. Can take it like 3rd one cause using 3 colours.
3 colours for 4 cards means got one repeat out of the 3 colours.
Since 3rd one equals 12 then we can have 3 different combis of this, where the repeated colour is one of the 3. So 12*3=36
Then cause initially got 4 colours so out of the 4 colours must choose 3 so take ans times 4 choose 3
    5. 4 choose 2 *(4!/(2!*2!))+4 choose 2((4!/3!)*2)
4 colours choose 2 then since got 4 box it can be 3 identical cards (same colour) or 2 identical card so 4!/(2!2!) and 4!/3! And since for the 3 identical colour, it can be either one of the 2 colours need to times 2

    Regarding the solutions :
Q4 : Like Hafeez suggest, use the diagram to solve it. So there are only 3 colours you need (then it must be 2 of the cards have the similar colours). And since this is position wise (due to the different sizes), so there are 5 ways to paint the cards in different positions. And there are 4 colours so = 5 x ((4 x 4) x 2 x 1) = 160
Q5 : Almost similar with Q4 but there are 2 colours only.
My brain can't brain it anymore🥲

  • @tuxedolphin5482

I saw someone comment on the solutions to Q5 so I'll just skip that.
As for Q7, not only does not including the first part (what is a_1, original form of a_n, and what partial integral method they are talking about, i.e. what to choose as u and v' etc) make solving for O, P, Q and R literally impossible, it also makes solving for S and T stupidly difficult, and I'm too lazy (and dumb) to try to reverse engineer what method they meant, although I may have missed some other method.
    As for U, a_n/ a_n-1 = T/S = (2n-1)/(2n+2) = 1 - 3/(2n+2), and taking the limit of n to infinity gives 1 as 3/(2n+2) will approach 0.
Honestly producer is just a devil in human form out here to kill people's ego.
Ah and also just a comment that for the case of graphs, vertex usually means turning points (and not corners of shapes as mentioned in the vid)
