Thanks for gr8 informative video also covering burn-in warranty too. May be Mini-Led is the way to go for in 2024. I think and hope that in 2 years time, we will start seeing QD-OLED panel in laptops with burn-in covered for minimum of 3 years.

If I won those microphones, I’d use the heck out of them. I’m currently going to Full Sail University studying Digital Cinematography and I would be able to use those microphones for broll and interviews for future productions!

This laptop is truly impressive! I purchased it and couldn’t be happier. I plan to use external monitors to keep an eye on my OLED monitor. And wireless microphones are a fantastic idea for wedding videography. Best of luck with your work!

Wow, where did you position your mic for your fan noise? Or did you just use the camera mic? Sounds very clear. Also just a good review in general btw, not overly technical or long, but not overly subjective either.
Just the cameras mic with background noise as minimal as possible. Appreciate the feedback, I'd like to get more technical but this is only the 2nd laptop review I've done so there's a lot to learn but I do the best with where I'm at.

I have an LG OLED TV I use with a PS5. There was a lot of talk of burn in with that. They ended up fixing it with some sort of software driven fix. I've only had to run that once, and everything is still top notch. So I can imagine these will have similar software problem resolution capabilities.
For 3d studio max, blender and photoshop do you think is better to pick the g16 or the pro art studiobook 16 oled? Keeping in mind that I already have a desktop pc and I need the laptop for classes for a master in archiviz wit 3ds (corona and vray)
Hello, so with the 16gb ddr5 ram, is it two seperate 8gb sticks with one stick soldered to the board and the other can be upgraded? Or just one 16gb stick that cannot be upgraded at all

I have an Asus Laptop, the ProArt Studiobook and it was not that expensive to get a 3yr extensions with accident protection. does asus offer that extension for this model?
Raising it up helps reduce the fan noise and overall temp.

Hard to say without testing it out but it does look impressive!
Im an independent writer/animator working on a project currently and i would like to implement motion capture to my animating and thanks to softwares like rokoko, it will be much easier to do so, to avoid having to pre-record the voice actors and having to sync the animation afterwards, placing wireless microphones on the actors to capture both the physical performances and vocal performances at once, would make for a much more convincing performance, plus it could help the actors be more convincing in their vocal performances. I appreciate this opportunity and enjoyed the review very much. Thank you😁

that fan noise is too much. New Lenova Yoga, only 4070 if my memory is correct, is up to 10db quieter while still keeping cool. great vid

Not a gamer , but hoping to run some engineering/architecture programs. Trying to decide between G16 RTX4070 Ultra7 vs G16 RTX4080 Ultra 9 ?? . Aware of the fan differences and wondering if it is such of a big deal to take into consideration when deciding which one to go for
Do you know where the fan whistling came from? It's kinda annoying 😅 . Do you think users can customize the fan to make the whistling less noticeable?
Even on quiet mode there's still a whistle, I believe it comes from the 3 fan design which not every model of this laptop has.

I am on the fence between the G16 and the scar 16. Both 4090. My struggles are bright mini led vs inki black oled. And full 175w TGP in the scar vs the 125w TGP in the G16. Any thoughts
Both are great. I’d personally go for the SCAR - no OLED stress and better TGP. Will you use the laptop for gaming mostly or also in a productivity role?

OLED, always. Mini-LED is far inferior. Worried about Burn in? Don't be. My oled laptop screen from 5 years ago still looks new.
For the mic i would use one for my college online classes and give the other to a friend who's mic recently broke

The Fan noise is pretty bad. Could you install g-helper and ramp down the RPM of the middle fan then test it again?
I boosted dbs slightly so you can hear it in the video but even setting them to silent mode helps. It's a lot quieter than the MSI I tested a few videos back

6:25 I hear the whistle even from the recording. Had to return the laptop because of it. I was hoping this is just an issue with my unit, not the whole model lineup.

yes but the max it can do is performance mode. However, it's not good to play games while charging via the tb4 port as the battery is getting stressed hard.

what about screen wobbling? even on 2:10 timecode it can be seen how much this wobbling isnt this an issue? i work from legs (sitting / lying on sofa) at work when have time, so what do you think? would it fit me?
It wobbles for sure, I don't mind it on a desk but on your legs it could be an issue

What's more important to you, a bump in GPU power or screen size? If I was going to connect to an external monitor 4070 for sure, plus it'll be better for travel being smaller but if you want the bigger screen size go G16. Whatever you decide I'd appreciate it if you used my link!
The 4070 models have 32gb of ram so consider that too!

The difference between the 4080 and 4090 is confusing, like the 4080 has higher clockspeed and 12gb gddr6 while the 4090 has lower clockspeed (than the 4080 fir the same power) but has a 16gb gddr6.
Yea, idk why stuff needs to be so confusing. I have to turn into a geek just to know what's the right purchase
It’s just how the particular GPU’s run. Each die will have different minimum and maximum clock speeds. Like the 4070 will run at like 2700MHz or higher but it doesn’t make it higher performing, it’s WAY below the 4080/4090. Things like cache, cuda cores, tensor cores, wattage, etc. all affect the performance much more than clocks (usually).

Why are they making them more like Macbooks? I feel they were great they way they were! I have the 2022 M16, by the way. Also, I wish the screen tilted back all the way (I don't think it does based on one I tried out at Best Buy recently).
Unfortunately I had to return mine. The fans were always very noticeable even when just browsing the internet. It’s a shame because it’s a perfect laptop in every other way.

The burn it was for Razer issue that’s why they go with Samsung oled displays this year, don't get panic

Any OLED has a burn in risk which is why even the latest QD-OLED panels come with a 3 year warranty
@@cheluvarangam8332 not because the problem was Razer trying to make OLED screens on its own. This time they went with Samsung but the bad thing is that Samsung didn't put G-sync on these screens

For me it wasn't horrible compared to other gaming laptops I've heard but don't expect it to be silent, it has a steady whistling sound

Honestly I just keep myself distracted with this RUclips stuff. I live with the symptoms everyday so after years of it I think my brain has just adjusted to it so while I'll never be normal again, I've settled into my "new normal" enough to be productive. That said I can't work a regular job because I have no consistency with feeling ok one day then totally spaced out the next so I'm just doing what I can to get by.

I know it's the wrong answer due to pollution, but if my screen got burned-in to the point of where it is intrusive, I'd just cave in and buy another, more updated system at that point.

4070 is a waste of time
I bought it. Used it for four days then returned it. Poor ergonomics, incredibly noisy fan, erratic performance, loaded with system killing bloatware like armor crate. In short, technical rubbish.
I want that laptop. Screen is so good. Its thin and light too. I got the ASUS Creator q540 recently. That thing was chewing through videos editing them.
