I'm thinking of unpublishing and republishing my first-in-series (paperback) as I've written a prequel that really should be Book 1. I also want to change the trim size (of the paperback). I don't plan on touching the ebook, though, except for changing the cover to show it as Book 2.
Am I right in assuming my existing reviews will stay, as they are mostly for the ebook anyway? (Yes, I have linked both versions as well)
I don't have "Book 1" as a subtitle, so again, I'm assuming I won't need to mess with the ASIN or the ebook ISBN on Draft2Digital either. Can you confirm?
    Many thanks.

I have an ebook on sale with Amazon that was published a long time ago that I just realized contains an error (one wrong word) in the subtitle (pretty embarrassing). It continues to get some sales and has okayish (3.9/5) reviews, but now has 93 reviews overall, which is more than most of its competitors. Assuming that unpublishing to make the correction will remove reviews, do you think it's worth losing all those reviews just to correct the subtitle? Thanks in advance.

Hi Dave .. great video/ info as always! Just wondered if you could clarify or had experience of my following issue please?
I have just put a new eBook up for preorder 1st Dec 2022 launch. Today i was setting up my kdp PB version ... and wait for it ... stupidly clicked the publish button instead of save draft! Its now in the 72 hr review process that can't be accessed by any soul on earth. Now the bug bear is that I intended to set this up with a 15th Dec 22 launch for ARC reviews/ promotion etc to kick in. NB. Kdp had orginally advised that my only option was to unpublish and reset it up with new ISBN ... which would cause lots of hassles with file and cover alterations. BUT a kdp team leader has since explained that this is not the case .... IE all i have to do is unpublish the PB title as soon as it goes 'live', and then near to 15th Dec 22 i simply REPUBLISH IT WITH THE SAME ISBN/files without any changes. I asked the team leader if thats 100% true ... and they said 150% true! Talk about stress. Any thoughts /urgent advice please? Thanks in advance! D

Sorry, I'm not sure I found what I was looking for in this video. I unpublished several books last year, but they are still showing up in Amazon, even though they've said 'out of print - unavailable' ever since. I need to delete them entirely from Amazon, because the unpublished books are outranking the published ones that are actually available for sale. I'm not sure what to do, but my sales have basically stopped entirely now that I have a full library of 'out of print' books cannibalizing the other ones.

What Marina said - you can change the cover. However, if Amazon decided to mass print your paperback (they do this if you tend to sell a consistent number each month so they batch print), they will continue to sell those, until they run out and then will sell your new updated version.
