    Psst! Important thing that I forgot to note! If you have multiple pen names you want to create author pages for, the sky's the limit! You can only have one KDP account, but you can create multiple Author Central accounts (under different email addresses) for all the different author pages you want to have for your KDP business! Happy creating! 💛💛💛

      Thank you, Sarah, This is a truly nice video indeed. Can you please create another short, short video about (step-by-step process) creating multiple pen names and corresponding author pages? If my attempts at creating such pages cause an inadvertent mistake/action - can my account get terminated?

    That's awesome. Now I know how to create one step by step. Please tell me this. If I use 2 different names (one is my Pen Name) will I have two different Author Central Pages/Profiles? Will the readers land on the same Author Central Page if they click on both the original and pen name on two different books?

    • @SarahLarson
      @SarahLarson  Год назад +1

      Glad this video could help you! And if you do two different names, yes, you will have two different Author Central pages. With your KDP account, you can create up to three different pages. :)

    I have used My name as a primary author name while publishing my book. But I want to add these books under a separate author page based on their niche so is it possible to add a brand name in the contributor field and create an author page using this contributor or company name and add these already published book under this author name.

    • @SarahLarson
      @SarahLarson  Год назад +1

      Great question! I don't think you can create an author page for a contributor name currently, but you may want to contact KDP to figure out how you can do what you're looking to do. You can have three different author pages under your account, so I'd recommend just using that new author name going forward for books within that niche. If you need to, contact KDP to get the author name changed for your current books! Hope that helps! Wishing you all the best. :)

    • @SarahLarson
      @SarahLarson  Год назад

      I'm not 100% sure, but I believe so! After all, I think you have to create the author page before you can claim books anyway, so that makes sense. Either way, doesn't hurt to try!

    Thanks for yet another helpful video! Can I ask what is your opinion on having Press/Publishing in your author name? I heard having a keyword such as 'notebooks' is now a no-no but not sure about Press/Publishing. Thanks!

    • @SarahLarson
      @SarahLarson  2 года назад

      I love having Press/Publishing in the author name!! I feel like it looks super professional! That's actually something I've been doing a ton recently. :)

    • @AL6198
      @AL6198 Год назад +2

      I heard the same thing. Before, keywords were OK in author names and now they could get you banned. Several videos say that 'Publishing, Design and Press' are in the gray area and should be avoided. If Amazon changes its opinion again that could mean the three words above would no longer be OK, which would mean your account in jeopardy and you possibly having to unpublish all your books and republish under a new name. The various videos are so contradictory, the last one I watched said the only name accepted was a pen name (like a real name) unless you want to use your personal name. The example shown in this video (I think) was 'Emily cute notebooks', the last word is definitely a keyword and not allowed, Amazon will eventually crack down on many, so let's be safe but the rules are blurry!

      @@AL6198 Love your in-depth advice on this!! Thank you! This is actually something I've been noticing recently. I've tried adding terms like "Books" and "Notebooks" to the end of my author name, and I've been rejected by Amazon for doing that. However, I change it, and then I have no issues. I think things like "Press" and "Publishing" are fine, but when you start using more keyworded terms, Amazon will likely reject it as being "confusing to customers." Either way, it's easy to change, so it's thankfully nothing to stress about! :)

    Can I go back and edit my notebook after I load it on amazon so I can add the QR code?

    • @SarahLarson
      @SarahLarson  Год назад

      Yes, absolutely! You can change both your cover and interior at any time. :)

  • @robinhart1390
    @robinhart1390 Год назад

    So it looks like I have to Have a isbn before I can set up the author page and I have to have an author page before I can set up my QR code, so do I create the notebook without the code so I can get the isbn then set up the author page, then how do i go back and insert my QR code in my note book? Do I just go back to the project even though its published to amazon and add the QR code? this is confusing.

    • @SarahLarson
      @SarahLarson  Год назад

      That sounds right! However, you totally can go back and add the QR code later, so don't stress. :) You could also just create a simple notebook really quickly just to get your first book out there, and then you can have your author page up and ready to go using that simple book, allowing you to more easily insert the QR code into books you care a lot more about! Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any additional questions. :)

    Hi! Is there a way to remove a book, once added to the author page?

    • @SarahLarson

    Can you create an author page before publishing any book? Or do you need at least 1 book to be able to create author page?

    • @SarahLarson
      @SarahLarson  2 года назад

      Interesting question! I think that you actually can, since you add books to your author page after you've created it. Pretty sure you could have an empty author page if you choose, but I could be wrong about that!

      I think you can. Try contacting Amazon for help with that! If not, your best bet may be to create a separate author page with a new pen name.
