@@wurlinnawurl Hopefully the follow up Solar 42 will actually go into production, but I've not seen even any preorder indications, though it was shown at Superbooth.

Meh. Pretty basic sounding for that price. Can make thise sounds in seconds with much cheaper synth. Also no built in delay or reverb?
I thought it had built in delays and reverb on the FX slots. It also sounds amazing to my ears, and the sounds are coming from the same piece of kit in a live performance. I like the spontaneity of that. I could probably recreate some of what is played here on half a dozen cheaper synths, and possibly with a couple of overdubs, but I don't think it would be anything like as immediate; and I guess that's what you are paying for here. This isn't your standard layout for a synth, and that control panel is quite a lot of real estate.
I can literally hear reverb and delay almost immediately the video starts….
Yes yes I can hear it too. But I stand by my words. Basic sounding synth with astronomical price. I can do this sounds in seconds with my synths or mini modular which costed a fraction of price of Solar. But tbh, nothing against it I belueve it's a good thing. Just stating the obvious.
FINALLY someone said it. This thing is just all knobs. Can get better tone out of my Korg Minilogue which ran me 500 bucks
