I don't know much about the laws involved, but I feel like that is cause for at least some response, and given the obvious inability of the Yemeni government to counter the Houthis, it does not seem at first impression unreasonable for more forceful action to be taken.
Why expect Yemen to "respect international law" when the US and Israel break it every single day? Not only international law but domestic as well. The Lehi Law forbids the US from sending arms to any party engaged in human rights abuses, but that doesn't stop the US from arming some of the most genocidal and barbaric regimes.
This comment ignores the fact that the ships were traveling in djiboutis national waters
Shame on uk

They said "thousands" 🙄🤭
Looks like MILLIONS to me..
The army is just forming slowly
Shame on the West, they can never fight alone.

AND STILL THEY CANNOT WIN?!.
Shame on the West!!

@@aungminoo4964 then they should be made to understand what attacking shipping lanes means. and they should feel the repercussions of supporting such acts.
@@alexandruisarthey attacked only Israeli ships though and they said it themselves so why is america interfering
Becasue they are musilms.
It seems that you need to take into account the events that preceded it

Hating each other is a waste. Hate the politicians, not the people who happen to be in the same country.
Exactly tho
I can assure you when we say death to America we mean to those in charge, civilians can’t be held accountable for what the government does.
They do this, then wonder why they are being bombed?
I wonder what Ja Rule makes of this!
The HOUTIES are in Fact COMPLYING Whit Intenational law, that STATES that ALL NATIONS are OBLIGATED to ACT in prevention of GENOCIDE!!, WEREEVER or WENEVER MAY BE!!!, ITS AN OBLIGATION NOT A CHOICE !!!!

These people don't care about their children.

To people arguing Yemen is the aggressor in this story:
First of all, your shipping lanes go through their waters, so if they want to prevent you from sailing in their backyard they are allowed to do it according to international law.
Second, the US has been bankrolling a genocide in Yemen for almost a decade now, so even if it were international waters, they would still be justified in seeking revenge against the country that has been killing their thousands of their people.
Shame your wrong law of the sea is pretty clear that straits are international water. Maybe next time read or is that to much for your room temp iq
man, you know your stuff.
the US provides weapons to Saudi, and they inturn fight the houthis.
Nope international shipping lanes don't belong to Yemen, period.
First of all, the shipping lanes are in international waters. You could have found that out in a book or used Google. Second, you could have also used a book or Google to find out that is BS. Spanner...
@@noahbutler9180 straits and canals are not international waters. The UNCLOS gives special right of passage for ships that go through territorial waters for some straits, including the Bab-al manda, but the Houthis are not signatories (nor is Eritrea).
At least we’re not going to get robo calls since they’re all taking the day off 😅

I pity these people. They protest against the countries that they would never achieve anything out of it except destruction. What a waste time on the street.
