Can i just replace the damper with regular bolt? Do i really need this damper?

Is this like a bandaid solution instead of just taking the caliper off and lubing it with some moly paste?

Plus, no one carries them. My 2011 came with them pre-installed and even NAPA does not have them on their site.

Bolting a set on a 2013 right now, local NAPA store had them. Fix lots of comebacks on PIU's etc. in this big-city shop by using silicone lube. This truck is mud caked, (Asphalt Department) so grease is not an answer. First time trying these things.
