It looks like a cracking race! Well done for persevering despite adversity (a tumble). As Pole myself, I loved the cultural bants about poles! Great achievement 👏
MARM “ hors de combat “ ? No way he goes down he gets up again. MARM & PHIL the thinking man’s Mortimer & Whitehouse. This was a brilliant effort and an excellent video.
What a rollercoaster that was. From the early fall and feeling that kneecap with every stride, to a return to the spiritual second home of MARM, epic views of the Cotswolds, and a bit of Blair witch project forest action. Had it all.
Love the Cotswold way route . Your vlog brought back horrible memories from my school days in Chipping Campden 😂 and great memories of doing the Race to the Tower Ultra finishing at Broadway tower with my partner and mum cheering me in .😀 Well done completing the race 🏁 👍
Great job, you could really see how Phil pulled you through at the low point, you were quite emotional, but tough as hell to see it through to the end. Respect to you.
Brilliant Marm, well done 👍💪 I feel a true member of the Marmy Army now, I've fallen over twice recently when running! Ended up with stitches the full length of my eyebrow and the more recent one on the Dorset coast bashing my knee and hand! Well done for finishing especially with another tumble at the end 🫣😂
Wow what a day that was. Fair play! Hope the knee is healing well. Great work your doing with this channel, my favourite RUclipsr by a long stretch! Keep it up pal, keep you’re inspirational honestly! Ps, hope the lofts coming along well!
Ouch that knee, and hand, and knee again! Hope you're not in too much pain. Awesome to keep going no matter what. "Day has gone to rest, the sun is in the West".
Well done, that looked hard especially finishing in the dark. Such a shame you fell, and so early on, it must have taken alot of the fun away. I still need to tick the ultra box 🫣 Hope your knee is OK now 🤗
Hey! I ran with you both for a few miles from Aggs Hill onward (that’s me in the background at the Stumps Cross and Painswick CP’s) and we talked about future races this year. Thanks for keeping me company! No idea you were filming the race though until I was sent your link yesterday! Surprised you didn’t mention the shenanigans at Birdlip! 🤣🤣 Hopefully I’ll catch you at a race again soon! Ridgeway next year?
@@Teamhuw was it doggers at Birdlip? It's notorious. What they don't tell you about the beautiful Cotswold Way is there are sex people bloody everywhere! Please disregard this comment if that wasn't what you meant...
Well done, great video, I did the Century in 2019, it was the only race briefing where they mentioned the concerned faces on the late night “doggers” when the organisers turned up to a car park to set up a check point late at night? 🤣🤣🤣
Well done Tim, looks like a great event, at least you were blessed with good weather. You pick difficult races don’t you? I suspect given time you will be keen to do something similar again. Keep it going!
Great video- amazing views and looked like it might have almost been enjoyable if you hadn't taken your tumble(s) running with Phil. I live on the Cotswold Way (ish) but shamefully have only ever run a few legs of it. I can't imagine doing 50 miles, let alone with a VERY serious knee injury. Must volunteer next year.
@@middleagedrunningman part of the journey, nothing more distressing than being an injured runner (I had an I. T. Band injury a few years back and was distraught) but bodies do heal and we tape up the bits that don't heal 😂 I think that balance training and strength training become important once you go long trail and sometimes injury time out is a great time to get that stuff going on! Wishing you speedy recovery and don't panic.. You will be back!
Tim this was by far your best video …. So .. here’s the thing .. for the sake of great content and the Marmy army , you need to be doing more ultras .. just saying 😊
Well done! I knew I recognised you from somewhere (was at Painswick). You should do the 100 next year for sure you won't regret it, the longer ones are proper adventures:) Ps why underwhelmed by belas knap?? It's awesome
I thought at one point this was going to turn into the Brokeback Century Half Way 😂 Phil's good company when running, I'm sure that he kept you entertained.
I've run a few Ultras and looking at your face as you leave.... honestly theres a lot more miles in you..... I can't forget the bee sting I had at 33 miles and almost passed out but thank got that was it was only 33 miles (next time I need an EpiPen) typical I love bees 🐝

“Because I work for the claims office, and you’re supposed to be disabled” 😂 top running gents. Fair old jaunt that!
Was a tough one Dave.
Have you never had someone shout at you?
“Why are you running with a camera?”
Gets you thinking.

Hearty!!!! My old comrade!! Glad you enjoyed it. Phil’s gentle patter would have been much enjoyed by a certain M.Wakeman.
Last ultra.....no way....top quality chat from you and phil, please do more 👏🏻
I’m sure it won’t be the last….
That was just superb Tim. Absolutely epic and I'm so glad you made it 🙌
Thanks Deano!! Hope you are well mate.
Great video, one of the best yet . You need to start a channel with Phil called Two Men in a Field 😂.
Thanks Neil. Bit different, love a bit of gentle bants with Phil.

Good for the video though!!

Well done completing the race 🏁 👍
Memories good and bad evoked by a bit of MARM? Beautiful spot Jim. (Knew Chipping had a strange vibe….)
@middleagedrunningman 🤣🤣 It's a very classy place. You know it's much posher than Broadway with its commoners 🙈💣💥😉
Amazing performance Tim and Phil. Hope your injuries heal quickly. Looked an absolute beast of a race.😀
It was, but a week on, I look back more fondly….
Well done Tim, that looked tough! You definitely need to pair up with Phil again the duo we didn’t know we needed!
I’m Holly, he’s definitely Phil…..
Definately 🎉

Amazing!! well done. Ultras are hell but also the best thing ever. You cant explain that feeling. You just have to experience it.
Total agreement. Really demands on the body, but the feeling afterwards…
Well done mate, huge effort. You’ve captured some beautiful scenery. I’m surprised you didn’t get a nose bleed running through Broadway.
Ha ha!! Dear old Broadway….
I watch these videos and get inspired to train hard and sign up for a run.
Thank you so much for the content, it's very entertaining and inspiring.
Cheers Greg.
Hope my tumble wasn’t too inspiring. Dont do that bit.

Birdlip…. Enough said. It’s a family show.
Superb effort Tim. Despite all the falls and pain, I hope that it's not your last ultra. Give it time.
Knee jerk reaction? (Knee jerk could be the title)
Loved it great video fantastic banter well done hope the injuries are better soon.thankyou.
