The wolf unexpectedly fell in love with Red and i think that's beautiful.
the originalseven You are free to interpretate the song in the way you want
buttercoffewolf thank u.
I just think he fell in love with her, as in food. Not her personality but whatever. It could go either way.
Twist: little red is the wolf.
Archi Ari while it's okay to interpret this song how you want, please don't disregard the original meaning. It's about sexual predators.
To all the people trying to 'interpret' the song. Please understand this is a COVER of the song. It's originally sung by a band called Sam Sham and The Pharos. Dude sings it. It's about a rough guy telling the girl he likes that he might seem bad- but he's a good guy.
The Zephyr Project that's how I saw the song. I've never heard the original but I will listen to it after this
so you're saying that this cover is gay while the Sham-Wow Pharos version ain't
That's how I saw it at first. I'm glad that's what it's actually about. Going to listen to the original
Music is made to be interpreted if someone takes a different meaning from the song then that's perfectly fine
There is even a female counterpart to this song from red's perspective. She loves him too!
First verse: pretending to be kind to trick her
Second verse:he’s falling for her but knows that she’d hate him if she found out he was a wolf
Third verse: accepted that she’d never love him but is making the most of his time with her
She*
She does love him back. There's a response called hey there big bad wolf.
@@ms.applesaucemeowmeow4249 by who and where?
For everyone who wonders: she actually took a part in a movie called Red Riding Hood, and she had a main role of Little Red. I would tell you why she sings about the wolf as if he's a human, but I don't want to throw spoilers, so if you're curious then go watch a movie ;)
can you specify which one, there are many
I saw that one a few years ago (3 or so) and I really liked her as Red Riding Hood. The story
It's Red Riding Hood (2011) from Warner Bros. Pictures. Amanda Seyfried (starred as Kate Smith in Mean Girls), Shiloh Fernandez (starred in Evil Dead), Max Iron, Gary Oldman (starred in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix as Sirius Black, Harry's godfather), Billy Burke (in The Twilight Saga as Bella's Father) starred the movie. Fyi …
(SPOILERS) Isn't it where at the end there's a lot of snow and she chases him there and he leaves at the end?
I HAVE IT RECORDED
she sings about .-.... it's a cover!!!
Is it just me or does that picture look like Ruby from 'once upon a time'?
Luner Soal yes !
Luner Soal Finally someone said it!!
Exactly my thoughts, even more because of the Wolf on the opposite side... Loved that character... Then I felt like the series lost its meaning so I stopped watching sadly...
Yeah! It does
That's because it is, I'm 99% sure :)
oh my god karen you can't just ask people why they're white
Old Pegasis 😂😂😂 omg yeah
Oh my god Karen you can't trap a girl in a trap like this.
To this day I still don't know what does that mean omg😂😂
Rotage Said it's a ref to Mean Girls at one point a pretty blonde airhead ask a girl "from" Africa "why she's white if she's from Africa" and Gretchen, the beta bitch just answer this.
It's often used as a joke.
:)
@@fabtrash Thanks! I know it's a ref from Mean Girls I just didn't know what the question it self mean..
_even a big bad wolf can be good_ ❤
What if the little red riding hood is dangerous and cunning from inside but wears a mask of innocence and beauty to charm strangers in her trap. What if the big bad wolf is her next victim even when the wolf think that he is dangerous for the girl but actually it’s him who is walking with the girl to her place...right into the trap. What if the little red riding hood is putting her charm at work and that’s why the big bad wolf turned good for her.
Whoa easy there. You do a lot of thinking.
There's an animation of that story/song.
Look up Me and Mr. Wolf, it's basically what you just described to a point.
it's still a cover....
A sure possibility
Personally I like to see the song as a metaphorical song for Sapphic girls. she says "you might think I'm a big bad wolf" meaning that she isn't really one (a predator) but is sometimes seen as one so she the line "keep my sheep suit on" would mean pretending to be straight to not scare the other girl away/fit in and that she's in love with "the Little red ridding hood" but she doesn't act on it, trying to keep herself satisfied being friends/walking together while still protecting her [and so on..]
This is a cover. A man wrote it. Amanda is an actress, she plays little red in a movie so she made this cover
@@faizahtahsin6377 I kind of figured that out. But even if it wasn't meant to be interpreted that way, doesn't mean I can't interpret it that way
Excuse me while I do this.. *clicks the loop button*
I just love the lyrics and the song and everything and the picture goes so well with it too!
LoverOfAllAnimals wait there's a loop button? 😂
Ye, you know. Right click on video, loop is one thing that pops up. :P
I have had to do that with a few of the songs on the channel, because I am trying to go through the whole playlist, but then I keep listening to one song, like, a dozen times and notice that there are over a hundred left to listen to...and realize that this is going to take a lot longer than I think. Anyway, I really like to listen to the lyrics, too. It took me a really long time to find the loop button. I did the same thing with KHB. These are just really good songs to listen to while I do my homework.
@@loverofallanimals3112 how do you that on an Android
Scarlet and Wolf from the Lunar Chronicles anyone?
That's what I was thinking!!!!
wolfhorsebreyer i just started reading the Lunar Chronicles. I'm reading Cinder, and it's really good so far.
It will make your life. Quite literally.
wolfhorsebreyer that good, huh? Lol
oooh yeah. especially when you get to the second book! it gets super good.
This automatically make me think of wattpad werewolf stories 😂❤❤
Shay Bae i tought the same 😂
Omg yes 😂
WATTPAD!
HUSHAJABANAN I SPIT OUT MY DRINK
Ahahaha yes 😂
I had no idea Amanda Seyfried could sing! Now Jonathan Young needs to do a rock cover (a la his "Dark Horse") to do justice to how creepy these lyrics are.
Polhymnia She sings in Mama Mia if you've ever seen it
Katharine Mulligan Cool! Never seen it but it looks fun 😁
Also in Les Miserables
Polyhymnia this is a cover......
You should really watch Mamma Mia then if you like her singing :)
I always liked the original, but this is a beautiful cover.
Unpopular opinion here, but the first time I heard this song I thought that it was about a girl who's in love with another girl in a very homophobic town. She's afraid of what Little Red Riding Hood will think of her if she finds out, so she just tries to protect her from the "predators" who want her, like wolves, without letting her know she's one of them.
Lucia ci like this interpretation the best :)
Exactly what I was thinking.
I really like the interpretation!
I actually really like that interpretation
That... That's just a beautiful interpretation... I'm gonna go cry now...
It's been a while now that I'm following your taste of music. I appreciate the time you dedicate for this channel and I'd like to thank you.
OMG Thank you! I've been looking everywhere for a full version of the song but I couldn't find it!
I just realized that her hood makes the shape of a wolf
I know I'm probably the only one, but this kind of reminds me of Cerise's parents in Ever After High.
YES❤️
literally my first thought. Like he serenaded her with this one day and they fell in love
YES! They were my favorite couple!
Omg
Yes
Amanda Seyfried sure could carry a tune like it's nobody's business
Some of people here think it's about rape. I mean, you have a free interpretation, but the lyrics just don't fit it. I mean, "even bad wolves can be good", "I would like to hold you if I could, but you might think I'm the big bad wolf so I won't" is this a thing that a rapist would do?
I think that this wolf is actually fighting his strong sexual desires because it fell in love with Red.
Isn't it about Loverboys, that's what I thought...
Yes, depending on how intelligent the rapist is about their manipulative tactics. By telling the person "You'll think I'm bad if I do this, so I won't", you get the person to think they're trying to be good, therefore must be good in some way, that they're trying to "fight their nature". They're "fighting the good fight". They slowly give you their trust. Then you can take off your sheep suit because you've ensnared them, and it's too late for you to get away. I can see why someone would interpret it either way, but how I see it, the song is genius because it makes you think, "Oh. This is someone struggling to be good and they're misunderstood." You become sympathetic for the singer, but that is the ultimate trick of manipulation, and it is done so well in a small 3.5 minute song. So, is this a thing a rapist would do? 100% yes. It's called grooming, and it's very effective even on people who are more aware. It just requires some patience, and if you have that, you can get others to do all kinds of things for you and they'll think it's on them because the human mind is very suggestive. It's the easiest thing to sway. That's why the vast majority of people are susceptible to propaganda.
(Possible spoiler for another movie) One of the best current examples of this in a movie is Gerald's Game, when you're shown the flashback in the girl's bedroom. You can see the manipulation take place and the way the child's mind was twisted to think it was her own idea.
Thank you for your time! :)
I see both song readings, but the manipulative one definitely comes out clearer: it literally even says "gonna keep my sheep suit on", like how much more direct do you have to be to show the wolf's scaring away all the bad scary monsters to have her to himself in a negative way?
And another bit where it basically says seeing things from the wolf's perspective? yeah, that sounds like Stockholm syndrome to me.
I think it depends on if you interpretate it more like the wolf meant it directly towards Riding Hood or towards us, the audience.
It's easier to "make firends" with your victim. That's why most rapes occur from people that the victim knew and trusted before hand.
this is such an enchanting song plus the title is intriguing really
I'm rarely disappointed when I listen to the music on your channel. ..
Screen time: You have two minutes
Me: Plays this song
Screen time: I shall allow it
Omg I'm obsessed with the original but this is the cover I didn't know I wanted to hear it's so pretty ♡♡♡
It's not actually about the wolf falling in love but it talks about how some guys play innocent to get the girl to trust them and then they become an unsuspecting @t the wolf is just used as a symbol. It's especially brought out in the words:"I'm gonna keep my sheep suit on,'tilol I'm sure that you've been shown, that I can be trusted walking with you alone."
Is the song really creepy? It kinda sounded rather sweet when the wolf was like "Even bad wolves can be good" then he was just, it's okay maybe you'll see me the way I see you soon, if not then oh well, it hurts but I'll just pretend I don't have these feelings and remain your friend and protect you
Or so I interpreted it (just my opinion :/)
Selene I see, it can be interpreted that way too T-T *sigh* damn das sad....
Suzuki Izumi yeah that’s what I think.
There's a second song called hey there big bad wolf. The original creator's story for these songs was that they fell in love with each other.
Gamergrrl is the author of the song the same as the one in the video?
Everything you upload is amazing
thank you so much, because of you I discovered a beautiful, nice song♡
this is the best channel I've come across soo faarrr !😍😍😍😍
I thought this song was amazing... and then I read Scarlet in the Lunar Chronicles... and now I think it's even more amazing
I was thinking of that too!!!
No one’s going to bring up how Amanda Seyfreid played Little Red Riding Hood in a movie?
i remember hearing the original on my grandpas jukebox and love this song, great work
Hey there little red riding hood
You sure are looking good
You're everything a big bad wolf could want
Little red riding hood
I don't think little big girls should
Go walking in these spooky old woods alone
What big eyes you have
The kind of eyes that drive wolves mad
Just to see that you don't get chased
I think I oughta walk with you for a ways
What full lips you have
They're sure to lure someone bad
So until you get to Grandma's place
I think you oughta walk with me and be safe
Gonna keep my sheep suit on
'Til I'm sure that you've been shown
That I can be trusted walking with you alone
Little red riding hood
I'd like to hold you if I could
But you might think I'm a big bad wolf so I won't
What a big heart I have
The better to love you with
Little red riding hood
Even bad wolves can be good
I try to keep satisfied
Just to walk close by your side
Maybe you'll see things my way
'Fore we get to Grandma's place
Little red riding hood
You sure are looking good
You're everything a big bad wolf could want
Little red riding hood
I don't think little big girls should
Go walking in these spooky old woods alone
What big eyes you have
The kind of eyes that drive wolves mad
Just to see that you don't get chased
I think I oughta walk with you for a ways
What full lips you have
They're sure to lure someone bad
So until you get to Grandma's place
I think you oughta walk with me and be safe
The lyrics are literally the point of the video.
I don’t know what to think of these lyrics
i found your channel now,and i saw that the songs that you public here are really beautiful af. thanks for showing me these. xoxo,k❤
'Gonna keep my sheep suit on' is my favorite part
I LOVE THIS!! THIS IS SO CATCHY!!!
I WAS SEARCHING FOR THIS SONG FOR SO LONG!!!!! I am happy i finally found it 💜💜
I love this song! When I first heard it, I was so enchanted (:
It's so new and fantastic! I've not really heard something like it.
A song of extraordinary longing. Of one loving another whom is either so innocent, or so struck by the society surrounding them that every person has become a 'bad wolf'.
Beautiful.
I wished this was on Spotify I could listen to this all day
It's is luv!
i know that amanda was in a Little Red Riding Hood movie that has low ratings but i watched it and i lowkey love it
Awesome ❤😊
Wow okay nostalgia just hit me like a brick
JustOlliver _ ya get me
I really like to here Amanda Seyfried voice, I really like if she also become a real singer
We all know who really paints Easter eggs and puts presents under the Christmas trees, just like we know why we “all fall down” when we ring around the rosie, why we must row our boat merely down the stream and what the wolf REALLY did to red riding hood...
children’s nurseries, celebrations and stories all have much deeper meaning to them than Easter bunnies, Santa, tripping, sailing or eating grandma’s... we all know that now that we grew up.
As soon as I saw this video I clicked on it straight away and I'm not disapointed 😁
A great actor and a great singer. This lady is amazing!
the music reminds me of dear porcupines by melanie martinez
Why am I just realizing that her hood is the LITERAL shape of a wolf's head?!
This makes me think that a girl was abused and raped by her boyfriend, and was traumatized, completely put off of the idea of having a relationship again. Her best friend (a guy, since the original song was sung by a man) secretly has a crush on her, but he knows what happened to her and how she feels about it. If he confessed his feelings to her she would think he only cares about her for her body. It would make her trauma even worse, and make her distrust men even more. He values her as a friend, so he decides to keep his feelings to himself, and support her platonically through this difficult time in her life. He hopes that maybe one day she might be able to be in a relationship again, and he could tell her how he feels then, but even if that never happens he’ll keep being her friend.
Wow I didn't think about this this way. It's actually a pretty good interpretation
@@camillaferrari1584
How had you thought of it? Just curious.
@@thepip3599 Actually, I had different opinion about this. I was looking trough the comments to see if anyone had the same idea as me. One of my first thoughts was the lesbian theory, for example. Ps sorry for the bad English, it's not my first language
@Suzy Md Shah I understand. That makes sense. Plus this song was originally from a Betty Boop cartoon. I haven’t seen the cartoon but I bet your interpretation is more accurate to it than mine, since there was probably actually a wolf in it.
The only problem with my interpretation is that it’s precariously toeing the line between wholesome friendship and gross incel behaviour.
Idont get it .but it sounds just like some Dark Fantasy stories mv
Chitanda Eru The singer is the big bad wolf, but she is under sheep's clothing to be near to little red hood. That's the reason she presents herself as someone who will protect her from wolves, since little red hood is obviously very attractive and therefore wolves are likely to chase her. The singer probably plans to eat her as she says she has to get her to trust her enough to walk with her alone, but later in some way she falls in love with her and is now truly trying to protect her, plus she's now sad because she knows she can't even hold her without little red hood realizing that the singer is in reality a wolf, so she tries to keep herself satisfied in just walking near to her til they get to grandma's house, secretly hoping little red hood will see something good in her while they walk and will therefore love her enough to accept that "even wolves can be good".
Chitanda Eru The way I imagine it is that the wolf is a guy or girl trying to get with "red ridding hood" and wants to get into a more mature relationship ig you can say with her but is stuck in the friend zone walking by her side trying to keep the other "wolves" who might like her away, "grandma's house" might even be a metaphor for a future relationship of "red ridding hoods" that keeps the "big bad wolf" away and unable to be with her anymore
A wolf A girl.....I'm not even close to understanding anything in this Great Great Great Grand vast world.
But in REALLIFE wolves are all Untrustworthy . #for me#
In the movie this is from, Amanda's character IS the wolf as well as Red Riding Hood. Her grandmother made her the cloak to keep her powers under control. (If I'm remembering this right. It's been years since I've seen the movie, so!)
You are confusing with Once Upon a Time where Ruby is the wolf and the cloak protects her. In the movie Amanda's character is the daughter of the wolf and the red cloak is a gift from her grandma.
✨The Wolf that fall in love with Little Red Riding Hood✨
i love that this song is a story all in its own
Idk why but I love this song so much... it's the voice and the lyrics I think
Love the string section in this version.
Someone else sang this song once, it was a male singer, but that was back in the days of Myspace so I don't remember the band. Either way, this is a cover, not an original song. She does it justice though, to be sure.
I think the band was Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs. There's probably a version of theirs up on youtube as well. Personally, I think I Iike Seyfried's version better. Her voice is just so pretty to listen to.
I love this
*WOW THIS IS A MASTERPIECE*
this song makes me feel emshional and teary
Oh. Now I wanna write something on this.
the goosebumps i get from this >
This is such a powerful song
And I've been inspired to write a new novel!
This cover just has serious melancholy lesbian vibes.
It’s so beautiful and calming while giving creepy vibes and that just send shve to throughout my body, great for relaxing
Holy crap. This is amazing.
( First of all sorry for my bad english. I'll write it in french under that. )
So I was looking for songs about a character I play in a role playing game and this song came out. And, in a way, I think it totally fit with the story of my character.
So it's about a little girl that has been raped by her father while she was a child. He fell in love with her. This child was always trying to see good in him because it was her father and she needed him as a father. And he was violent and kind with her as his pulsions pushed him to arm her and his love made him protective in the same time.
So this is what I see. A very complicated relationship where the girl tries to see good in the bad guy because she need it to survive the situation. She will almost let herself be manipulated by all of that. She tries to convince herself that she loves him, that he is a good person.
At first I thought the wolf was a child predator and little red riding a child or about sexual assault and child abduction but now it sounds like a boy trying to protect his crush
Same but now I think it's a lesbian love story
@@lostbreadgirl Ya and it IS a woman singing

This song has such an ominous vibe.
No joke, the second time I listened I paid attention to the lyrics and automatically thought of Solavellan (A Dragon Age ship) and woof, that's rough.
There’s a movie called red riding hood. The wolf and the girl is in love with each other 😍
Caroline and Klaus from Vampire Diaries

Holy shit, yeeees!
Faithology I totally agree
Even Bad Wolf can be good… *sobs* I love you Rose…
I love this so much
It's basically the man is playing as the wolf and he's in the bad boy side, and he doesn't want to hurt little red riding hood, the girl.
Right.
She has such a beautiful voice
....This song was on a childrens' album called The Bottle Let Me Down: Songs for Bumpy Wagon Rides. I've just had so many flashbacks to when I was like five years old. That version is also on youtube, it's the Freakwater version.
Pokochałam
I'll have to check back to see if she helped Lindsay sing Jingle Bell Rock
This song reminss me a little of Littlefinger.
The lyrics really suggest its not an actual wolf but a human? It is sort of interesting
Fun fact: in original versions of little red Riding Hood the wolf was basically a shapshifter and turned into a human when talking to lil red Riding Hood (though If you look them up, be warned, they normally have themes of rape)
Beautiful n simple
And now I have another song to be obsessed with
The first time i heard this song i tought it talked about this girl that gets constantly abused by someone but she doesn't want to tell anyone but this guy/girl who fell in love with her (wich is the one who sings) finds out and tries to protect her oh and i forgot to say that the guy/girl who fell in love with her is the bad guy/girl with a problematic childhood that suddenly became happy for the first time in their life becouse of her
The song is beautiful and Amanda seyfried has a beautiful voice too
Essa música é perfeita em qualquer versão!
A week ago I watched movies about vampires romance , yesterday I watched movies about zombie romance and I guess I will watch wolf romance tonight
I think this song is about a girl who's been hurt (red) and a guy falls in love with her kind heart and her beauty and everything about her but she's scared to love him back. So he's helping her through life (hence the lyrics "I think you ought to walk with me and be safe").
Honestly tho, I feel the same as the girl. Mainly cause I've been abused in a relationship before.
Now don't come at me saying it was about another girl or that I need to shut up. Thanks
Okay so if anyone’s seen the show Once Upon A Time then you will understand what I’m about to say even more. Okay so this song reminds me of that show ofc but the woman who plays as red riding hood uses her red cloak to keep herself from changing and seeing the picture with the video only makes me think of it more and more cause the cloak hides who she truly is to protect those she loves and cares for.
Also my way of seeing it though I hope I’m not the only one who sees it as that
Ooh I hope there’s an instrumental cuz the violin is so pretty
This sorta reminds me of a girl who liked me she is 17 while I'm 14 she wanted to protect me and help me become happier cause she knows I have depression and BDD but my parents didn't approve and in my state (I live the US) it's illegal for a 17 to kiss (or do anything farther then that) a 14 year old and I was pretty much forced to stay away from her in case she tried to **gasp** hug me or **another gasp** ask me out anyway my point is this song reminds me of her
Amanda seyfried is an amazing singer
Beautiful I love it!
I LOVE THIS SONG
