Henson, I've been training horses for 25+ years. I watch your videos because you train differently than I do. Each horse is different and trainers need a tool box full of tools to adapt to each horse! Just because your methods are different from other trainers does not mean that you are wrong! Those that say should do things differently may want to look at things from a different perspective. The goal for all trainers should be, is the horse better at the end of a session than it was at the beginning of the session. Good trainers are willing to try different methods if the methods being used aren't making the horse better. Horsemanship is a journey with no end. Henson, keep doing what you are doing as long as it works. Be willing to adapt your methods to make the horse better because our goal is to make the horse a better equine partner!
I continue to be mesmerized by Henson’s teaching abilities. Very calm and confident with the yearlings and they trust him. Priceless. Thank you for teaching us, your other herd. Hey, Danielle.
Great looking yearlings .. nice quiet work is enjoyable to watch. Henson, I'd much rather see a smart quiet youngster work over a scared one.
I have too meet u guys ..I'm not far from .you guys.
Simply love watching you work the youngsters. You have such a great way with horses. For Danielle to say what she did, sounds like someone may have made an ugly comment. Please ignore not nice people (they are probably couch potatos) You are kind, gentle, and have a ton of experience and patience. Like I said, I personally love the way you break colts, and I've learned a ton of great tips watching you. So thank you Henson! And thank you Danielle for putting out such amazing videos, and I love watching you barrel racing! Ya'll are awesome!! Love and God Bless you all at the PDR of 💜 ✝️ Jennifer
You better be careful Henson with all those big bad Hancock broncs ya'll have 😂😂😂
Henson's way of starting colts is works great and you guys have some very nice ones.
I never tire of Henson starting these young pnes! And of course, when he starts them under saddle. I really appreciate a well broke ranch horse. They learn so much and gave time to put their brain to work. I think it builds a better foundation for whatever is ahead of them as they find new owners.
🙌🏼 Foundation First!
What a calm and lovely 🌹filly! Steady, calm, and, consistent training from Henson 👍 This young lady shows much promise 🤩
And that is why all your horses are so calm
Really enjoying Henson having a mic on. Thanks for sharing Danielle... Some beautiful babies this season!
I said it many months ago, I'll say it again -- thank you for showing America real life.
Teaching a horse to accept the handler as the leader goes hand in with the process of taming. There is a dif between taming and training. Henson does a great job of finding that happy medium and creates an accepting attitude from the horses he works with. Trust and leadership with a mind that can think and figure out that there is no harm or pain involved.
Nice filly! She has a good “thinking” brain. The new owners are lucky to have her.
Thank you guy's for sharing a Souper Start for the Yearlings. She is a nice filley shows the blood lines and good mind!!❤
Keep starting those horses your way,Hinson. You know what your doing
Great Video, very explanatory. Henson is so patient. You can see his professionalism.
I am a couch potato from Florida, but ya'll raise some of the smartest horses, Henson makes it look too easy, he is so gentle with the horses. I love watching him and not try to compare him to others I watch But the horses he puts in the round pen to work have come from the pastures, may have been handled 8 times including branding, having them tied up, trips in the trailer and still they listen and trust him. JHeart bloodlines must be some of the best, ya"ll are definitely doing something right.
I love seeing all the babies! So many colors. Brooks is as adorable as ever! Thanks for sharing
Ha ha, I was more stressed about Bull coping a life ending head kick than anything else.
Hello Danielle and Henson, you guys horse teachings and watching your RUclips videos with your beautiful horses is so inspiring, motivating, fun and interesting everytime you post a new video, keep up the great work everyday, #stayBlessed/KeepStrivingEveryday 🐴🤠👍🏾👏🏾❤🙏
I like calm and thinkers. And Dash puts a beautiful hip on his babies. Shes gonna be purty when she grows into all that . Lucky owner ❤
Don't fix it if it ain't broke is my motto 💯 Hanson has a great approach and way with the babies. Your lucky to get a horse started and trained by him. JMHO😊
Henson says "kinda wild" ... filly stands there quietly in a halter.
Hi from Australia,l like watching this video.Thank U both.😊.The filly is good looking.
The first filly is really nice .....the new owner picked up a good one!!
Henson is the man!
Always a pleasure watching Thank you Danielle! See ya next time!
Henson, you're doing a great job on you young horses I'm from the UK love watching you're videos.
Just ignore bad comments.
Henson teaches them read his body language = intention! The flag is part of it, but "intent" makes the difference
Don't pay any attention to the "haters". I enjoy your videos and like your style. There's no one way to break horses. Thank you!
What a chill little filly, I think the new owners will be happy with her.
What a beautiful filly and she’s doing quite nicely in the round pen, ❤😊
So glad to see ya'll! Henson is a great horse trainer! I love ya'll!😊❤
As always love videos
And I like the way Henson starts Young ones.. He does what works.
An That many years must be do'n something right👍😉
Cute filly! Enjoyed this training video 😊
Thank you 🤗
Henson has that calm approach, he does it amazing talent . Thank you for sharing your ideal talent. Stay safe always .
I understand about the flag. It’s is all about getting her to read your intentions. Sometimes the flag is for desensitizing and sometimes it’s for movement. She should be looking to you and reading your body language, not focusing on an inanimate object.
Thank you
Have folks been criticizing?? I never see anything like that in the comments....
Just one or two here and there
Really find your videos very interesting. Never had a horse or will have one now but I've learned so much from you videos. Thanks and take care, Al

Jerry answers that question here: Painted Desert Ranch is live! Trimming a yearling
ruclips.net/user/liveQ506ox-TzCE?feature=share
Danielle nice yearlings price please
Negative comments - find somewhere else to give out your "expert" horse knowledge. These are Painted Desert Ranch horses, not YOUR horses. These horses turn out like Painted Desert Ranch wants them to turn out. These horses get put together like Painted Desert Ranch wants them. Buyers know what they're getting.
Question why is it called colt starting and not breaking in ?
It’s just word choice. “Breaking” has a negative connotation
1 of my halters didn't come with clear piece to keep both strands together of tie end
Oh no! If you mail it back to the return address I will send you a replacement. Thank you.
@@PaintedDesertRanch just send me the plastic piece. Please
I don’t make the halters. I’d have to ask my maker about that.
She said she will send you one in the mail with instructions. You will need a heat gun. I will give her your address.
Perfect.
