Watched this again. So impressed with how fortunate Henson was. Could have been so much worse. Hope Dibbs is also okay. Cowboying and riding ain’t like in the movies. Life is real.

I’m about to have follow up appointment #2 since I had a bad fall on 11/27/21 and was sent home in a tslo brace after 5 days in the hospital.
Oh dear, When I broke 4 ribs I missed 4 wks. of school, had a hospital bed in the living room and prayed not to cough or sneeze, fortunately I didn’t. Thank the good Lord it wasn’t a worse accident. I feel your pain, Henson.🥰🤠💕
Just remembered something really funny that happened. Even though I could not do my chores I hobbled outside to see my herd & 1 day there was a loose horse in the yard that looked like our rescued pacer, Pretty Pearl. I started scolding her and opened the gate telling her she had bettet get inside that paddock. She did it then I counted 6 horses & we only had 5. It was Jasmine an
expensive show horse whose owner was looking for her.

All the horses are gorgeous. It’s a pleasure to watch Danielle riding.
As someone who has broken my pelvis, dislocated my hips, shoulders, elbows, vertebrae and most of my joints multiple times (connective tissue disorder +Horses+soccer) the one that hurts most is broken and bruised ribs. Everything hurts.. Cough, sneeze, eat you name it. Sending healing energy your way. Glad you have a strong melon and wife. 😂😁

I broke numerous ribs, put a 1" hole in my lung , and broke my wrist. I didn't ride for almost 6 weeks, doctor told me 3 months no horses. Don't get on too quick that bone on bone grinding isn't much fun.

Henson. Hope U recover fast with those ribs.4 years ago one of my horses though me ..Had 8 broken ribs and a shoulder.The ribs were the worst. Take it slow for a few months…U cant rush ribs.

Ain't no problem when you have a wreck. It's what you land on that matters. Looks like a bit of road rash and some broken ribs. At least you landed in the mud versus a rock pile. The outcome could have been more serious. Rest up and let your body heal itself. Enjoy your videos. To me they are so relaxing and helpful at decompression after a crazy day. Be safe.

I used to use one of those brushes all the time. They are the best in my opinion. One thing that drives me crazy is when I see someone brushing a mane or tail with a curry comb!! Omg!! And then they just can't figure out why their horses mane and tail is raggedy looking. I love to watch yall's videos. So sorry about your wreck. Thank God it wasn't worse than what it was. New subscriber here. Enjoy your channel. Henson's story makes me feel better about my wreck a few years ago when I was 61. I went on a trail riding weekend with 9 other riders and a 71 y.o. horse woman who is a very experienced trainer/guide. I rode one of her horses. We went to Caprock Canyon State Park. She took us off the park trails and followed the deer trails down into the creek bed. She and her horse got stuck in quicksand up to its chest then all of a sudden my horse started to sink. She was able to roll off onto solid ground. I wasn't that lucky. I had kicked my feet out of the stirrups fixing to jump when he decided to rear up and power his way up the steep creek bank. I went flying way up in the air and landed on hard rock about 10 feet away. YEE! HAW!! The two horses were able to get out of the quicksand unscathed. My friends caught my horse. I didn't want to be a sissy and spoil their fun so I got back on and we rode another two hours. The rest of the weekend I just rode the recliner at the bunkhouse. The guide kept telling me that I needed to toughen up and keep riding saying ,"You know if you're looking for sympathy, you can find it In the dictionary between shit and syphilis!" Pretty funny, but it sure hurt to laugh. When we got back home three days later, I went to the doctor and Xrays showed I had seven cracked ribs!! I couldn't ride or really do much of anything for four weeks. Fortunately, I was a retired teacher so didn't have to work. Unfortunately, I am an old widow woman so never did find any sympathy....except in the dictionary! Lol....so Henson, you are a very lucky man because Danielle is a true cowboy's sweetheart. She could've just handed you a big heavy Webster's and said look under S! Y'all have a beautiful ranch and thank you for sharing it with us.

A lot of trainers are mixed up up about a horses headset! They end up with a bent neck....breaking at the poll is the way it is supposed to be. Music to my ears to hear you say it! Good hands and seat will achieve a good headset...breaking at the poll. Like the way these horses are working! Kudos to you two!!

Wow , hurts don't it. Give your self a bit to heal a little while. Danielle can take care of business. In my younger days I've had some terrible horse wrecks . I don't ride anymore.
