I think M18 is a great game with the right settings. I still play it. I set gameplay speed to SLOW and Speed Parity to 25. I also turned down Interceptions and Injuries because both happen a lot on the default setting. I agree that the ragdoll physics in the game can be too much at times, but I don't think it takes away from the overall solid gameplay. I have a copy of M19 on the way. I've never played that one so I'm looking forward to trying it.
Yeah, Slow is acceptable but I know the cutting can be too fast unless you lower the threshold. If the running animation was better and the ragdoll wasn't wild, it'd have everything lol
@@SimFootballFanatic Thanks, I'll definitely use those settings. I'm looking forward to playing M19. I've watched your videos on it and it looks like it carries over some good things from 18 with improved gameplay.
@michaelhopson6342 Honestly, I just set the parity scale to 0 and didn't touch it and that's how I feel in love with the gameplay. It reminds me of APF 2K8. Every time I go higher, sure the players move faster but certain animations like spins, cuts, even tackling animations trigger too fast and momentum seem to disappear. The highest I'll ever set it to is 8.I tried those higher values and they weren't consistently smooth animation-wise. If you sign faster players to your team, Very Slow/0 makes for BEAUTIFUL gameplay.
So I've tested Madden 17 years ago in Ball Carrier Movement comparison. I would definitely recommend 18, 19, 25, and 21 over 17. All 4 bring a different experience to the table.
@@SimFootballFanaticyea i gotta buy madden 18 tomrrow i’ve been playing 17 for a while madden 24 next gen sucks balls. also does madden 25 support p5 or nah😊
So 18 is slightly better than 17 but they're essentially the same game. 19 is where the gameplay actually looks and feels different. If you want an actual next gen Madden, I'd recommend Madden 21 for XSX or PS5. It's smoother and looks better than any next gen Madden afterwards. M25 is best if it's the XB1/PS4 version. I'm assuming because it's not a PS3 game, you should be able to play it on PS5.
Very Slow/100 or Slow/0 The gameplay is faster with slow but some of the animations are too fast and the cutting is too wonky. I prefer the gameplay smoothness of VS/100. That's what I used in my latest video.
I play M24 on All Pro, Simulation, and 0 threshold whenever I do play it. Unfortunately, there's no game speed to tweak to slow down animations and make it smoother. I would argue M21 Next Gen is smoother than M24. I did a comparison video of those two about a week or so ago!
I think they finally decided to lean towards simulation gameplay and slowed things down. I'm not entirely sure but I think they removed it in M20. Lowering the threshold in M19 also slows down animations and player speed. But on 21, it's just player speed. But I still like slower gameplay. I'm basically trying to recreate APF 2K8.
@@YOBoiy-Z 2K8 is animation based but most of the time the animations that trigger have guidelines to make them appear to be physics-based. The amount of football knowledge that went into programming the AI is astounding. I'm not sure we'll ever get a Madden that plays to that level, but if you're looking for a slower and stiffer gameplay experience that's similar, and I use that word loosely, Madden 19 on very slow with zero threshold is about as close as it gets. The other Madden's I showcase on my channel have a lot of ragdoll or physics. They're not bad options but if you're looking for a slower and stiffer gameplay that's closer to APF, Madden 19 is the closest Madden I think.
Too young to remember Madden 25 on the 360/XB1. But I imagine they plan on calling it Madden 25. Imagine the comparison video: Madden 25 vs Madden 25 😂

On M19, use Very Slow and try 18 or 25 threshold. I'm still testing but those are about as fast as I would go.
