Wayyyy better than M25, closer to M18. I haven't compared them side by side but they're pretty good. I made him pretty quickly and it actually looks like him.

For sure, it's a smidge below M18 in overall graphics but the player models themselves look nice! It really looks like Derrick Henry build-wise.

If they would have kept the "stiff legs" from 25, this game would be better than 25 in all categories. But I too wonder why they added it. Although, it looks better than 18's ragdoll because the whole player goes limp with magnetic hands that attach to the ball carrier 😂 15 is basically a blend of 18 and 25, but 18 has really good animations. 15 feels limited like 25 (from a ball carrier perspective) but I noticed a lot of new animations elsewhere. I do enjoy the updated player models though, and that combined with the stiffer players makes me enjoy it a smidge more than 18. Unless we're talking coach mode then 18 is far and away better.

Power backs seem to play better than finesse backs on here, or at least their animations play out better. The leg physics still irks me a little, but on VS/100, it makes it bearable and less noticeable.

From a user standpoint, I recommended S/0 on my initial thoughts video. But VS/100 is a visually smoother experience. I wonder if you can spectate in franchise mode like you can in quick play. That would be great. But coach mode works half decently from what I've seen.

@@SimFootballFanatic yeah I’m not sure on that one. I never really played a whole lot of franchise mode in this title. I played some play now and alot of practice.

It really depends on how you play the game. From a user standpoint, I think 25 gives you the most freedom. 18 has some good animations and is great for coach mode/visual sim. 15 plays somewhere between 25 and 18. And 19 has really good animations but lacks user control. However, the franchise is the best out of all 4. It's why I play them all. I didn't even include M21 (next gen), which probably has the best gameplay out of all of them. But you need a series/PS5 console to play that version. The old geb version of 21 is bad lol

I actually play 05-07 on my Dolphin and I play it at 85% speed and smooth out the gameplay and animations. It's actually pretty good!

@@SimFootballFanatic thats cool, i think late 2000's and early 2010's sport games are the best, like all of my favourite sport game came out around 2010! I think you should make video breakdowns or revievs from titles like M07!

Franchise on 07 is goated! I may get around to it later in the year when content is running dry lol

You're missing the context of me buying and reviewing older maddens to showcase gameplay of when Madden has different, and sometimes better, engines. My channel is specific to find settings that help older maddens play better. A lot of people still play older Madden titles.

I've found the amount of broken tackle animations on 15 to be oddly less than 25. It could be because I'm on All Madden, but I do notice there's new animations for O/Dline, WRs, DBs, and even new tackle animations. The ragdoll legs aren't too terrible, it's still better than 16-18. Lol. I might try playing on a lower difficulty to see if I can find more animations. I'm sure some animations are locked behind a ratings threshold too

@@SimFootballFanatic hmm maybe so. All I know is I do like how running the ball with power backs feel more realistic since it has a weight and a moment feel. M25 does as well just not as good because some players look weight at times lol.

My main complaint about 25 is how you'll truck over a guy like he has no weight or momentum. But I also love how powerful the hit sticks can be on M25. I'll try playing more today and see how I feel about it. James is good, but he doesn't have any super high moves, I'll have to make Henry or someone else to see what you're talking about.

@@SimFootballFanatic I still find M13 and 25 for PS3 to be better overall playing Maddens imo. So idk maybe in the future you’ll think about trying those 2 titles.

@simheadacademy2569 I've eyeballed the one with Peyton Hillis on the cover, but only if there's gameplay speed and threshold settings.

I do like the game overall, but the legs can get a little wild on tackles 😂

I haven't gotten to play 15 too too much, but I felt All Madden AI on M25 was brain dead most of the time. I've only played one game but I think the AI better on 15. Defenders read the play and shoot the gap, the QB moves around in the pocket, and runners find the holes. Needs more testing but it looks good so far!

It's Zach Robinson 🤣 I needed someone who was close in height and weight. I didn't want to yank Derek off the Raiders and mess up their roster. I try to use low overall players from another team to keep the teams intact.

It's growing on me for sure. I feel like 25 can be smoother at times but the update to player models, presentation, and gameplay (AI) make it stand out. I need to keep playing it. I haven't even touched franchise mode lol

@@SimFootballFanatic franchise mode is almost the same but they added some things to the development of players which makes it better in my eyes. 25 had better auto draft classes with fun and cool players imo.

@@simheadacademy2569 Scouting in 25 was a headache to me. Everything was costly to scout. So much so that I ended up letting the CPU draft lol I don't think I liked scouting until about 18 whenever they added gems to it so you could scout a bunch of positions and target players you needed.

@@SimFootballFanatic yeah true I’m just talking about the game creativity with the draft classes. I mean it wasn’t as good as custom draft classes or import draft classes but yeah. Scouting hasn’t been good ever honestly. It could have way better. What they have in Madden today is probably the best it has been since maybe PS2 era and that wasn’t great.

I also liked 18, it was a nice-ish blend of the madden of today and the madden of the past.

I haven't played 16. I was trying to stay away from the limp ragdoll physics that is heavy on 17 & 18 and I noticed it's minimal on 15 so I bought it. Also, the running animation started to go downhill after 25 and 15 looked to be the tipping point.

For sure. 18 is a nice blend animations and ragdoll, and the graphics aren't half bad. It's on of the better ones for sure!

After playing 15 more today, I think 25 os stiffer - in a good way. The legs on 15 are really loose during tackles. Not the limp ragdoll we have on 17 and 18. I never played 16 so I'm not sure when it became an occurrence on every tackle. It's very very minimal on 15, most probably don't notice it. I'm working on a 25 vs 15 vs 18 vs 19 video. I low-key think the gameplay on 25 might still be better than 15 despite the game freezing mid play, and the graphics being worse. But both are still good! 18 just looks really good on Very Slow/100 though when the CPU controls the players because they run faster than the user. It's also good for coach mode and visual sim. 19 even surprised me today. Super stiff but good graphics and animations.

I'm liking the game. The update to graphics, presentation, and player models is quite nice. Gameplay wise, it's basically 25 but with more animations added. I just wish you could edit player height and weight like on 19.

@@SimFootballFanatic that’s good sim. Yeah I agree, I love madden 15 and madden 16 its great too. But everyone like madden 16 well I don’t know everyone lol but I invest so much into madden 15 and madden 16 and 17 too. But I think I like madden 15 and 16 better too

@@bobbymartinez2580 I'm right there with you. Ball carrier movement is sort of a make or break thing for me too. I don't know why it's so hard to have a realistic running animation. I always said that it looked like a toddler running away from their parents. Waddley and hoppy looking. I will say Madden 19 is bearable and Madden 21 Next Gen is great. Old gen Madden 21 is trash though. Madden 25 (the original) has a good one as well. This is probably why I find myself playing GameCube Madden and APF so much just because most of the current Maddens look so bad.

I never played it. I'd imagine VS or S, and a threshold of your choosing!
