Absolutely. I feel like the gameplay can be too frantic at times so I tend to want to slow it down so it looks more realistic. I play on Very Slow/0 on M19 now. It's just the most smooth way to go.
I'm glad to hear that! The threshold can be adjusted to your liking. I experimented a lot yesterday with anywhere from 20-40. But I was surprised how much it felt and looked like the next-gen Madden. Even with the legacy issues and mechanical bugs, it still plays soooo much better once you tweak it!
Ive always said madden beta is just them giving u a game with eas sliders. And when the game comes out they reset the slider into default with a roster update.
Pretty much. Each year is just a roster update. I enjoy M19 over any of the current ones, even if some aspects of the gameplay aren't smooth. Just have to set gameplay speed to very slow, and find a parity/threshold setting that works for you. I do Very Slow/0 because I prefer animation smoothness.
I stopped using slow in Madden 17 when I observed Field Goals flopping around like it actually changes the speed of the football. From that day, I was out on anything but Normal speed. So you are telling me, slowing it downs affects gameplay in a positive way? Mind blown.
Madden 19 plays like hot garbage out of the box. Ugly warping, seemingly no movement penalty to cuts and jukes. So I decided to turn the gameplay speed to Very Slow and all of it got majorly smoothed out. The real decision is whether to use 0 threshold for the absolute smoothest experience. Or 8, yes 8, threshold. That's the as high as the user can go before noticable warping really starts kicking in. I made another video showing the difference between 8 and 9 threshold. Crazy how it affects it THAT much. Madden 19 may be a touch stiff and slow but it honestly isn't half bad once you try to make it "sim".
@@SimFootballFanatic I'll have to check out your other videos. I've exclusively used 100 speed threshold for years until recently, switching to 95 at the recommendation of some folks.
Understandable. I mostly tweak my settings to slow down unrealistic animation speeds, warping, etc to visually look like real NFL football. Of course, this can lead to either speed not mattering as much, or having a huge disparity. If you've played All Pro Football, then you're used to speed difference being small. Big plays happen because of key blocks and user skill. Not "Watch my 96 speed HB outrun everyone. Speed helps, but it's not like Raheem Mostert is scoring a 70 yard TD every game. Lol.
Whoever decided unrealistically fast gameplay was the way to go should have been fired. They absolutely wasted Madden 19's potential. I thought it looked so bad that I didn't even buy it. Years later I'm seeing settings really change the game and it was a rather enjoyable game! But down it's one of the most infamous Maddens, and it's not really it's fault. The devs don't know how to create a simulation football game 🤦♂️

It can be tough sometimes! Depending on how comfortable you are with using websites for digital codes, that might be your best option! That's actually how I got Madden 19.

@@SimFootballFanatic What did you think about Madden 21? I’ve recently been playing it because I miss the old quarterbacks that have retired recently. The gameplay actually isn’t terrible in my eyes, could you maybe do a video about that one too?
@Entertaining_Edits1 I've been banging the Madden 21 next-gen drum for well over a year now. I don't like the gameplay on old gen. Let me be clear. But the gameplay on series consoles and PlayStation 4 isn't half bad if you set the threshold to zero. The players have weight and momentum and move more realistically than other maddens. Madden 19 is one of the better animation based Maddens. Just like 18 is good for a combination of both ragdoll and animations. A lot of people still like the feel of these older games. I myself tend to play APF or M21 (next gen) because it is objectively smoother than even M22-M25.
I think they removed the game speed option after this game as well(Or after Madden 20). I wish it was still in current versions...
