Just a Note. I didn't use 3.5 speakers for dash. I got Kickers 3.5 and wired them on my component set up also by Kickers that I replaced few years ago. Only tweeter worked... I had to rewire directly passing crossovers to get mids out the speakers.. main reason why it doesn't sound right, it's because all sound now on the top and it's sounds like u have headphones... also u have no control over tweeters anymore. They way to loud and I can't even hear mids in my doors anymore... so yep... I was hoping for sound improvement and it didn't sound good at all. I have no idea how people enjoying them in a dash, replacing them all over the youtube here.
Check out Subaru part H631SFJ001 After replacing my door speakers, I would almost bet this set of 4 kicker speakers will fit the rear doors and the hatch
Thanks for the info. I just bought an after market upgrade from Crutchfield. I am sure the speakers are fine but the installation requires a separate external crossover cable. Since the Toyota factory plugs matches up with the Subaru upgrade H631SFJ101 speaker set, that BEAR of an installation is avoided. The part is available on Amazon.
How are you liking them? I have a 2019 4Runner, so I'm not sure if yours already had better sound to begin with (way better head unit I'm noticing!) but my sound is pretty weak!
Mine are on so tight idk if I'm going to be able to get them off. This is insane lol. Edit I had to place a wrench on the back end and then try the bolts. Never had bolts been on so tight for a speaker!!

nice, I just did this upgrade yesterday. took about 20mins and then changed out my low beam bulbs.

Plus there are no 2ohm tweeters on Crutchfield - all that fit are 3+ (at least today) , so the sound level is retained.
