Pushing the limits. How much can my modified HG P802 haul? Rc heavy haul trucks.

  • This is as far as I will push it. This is 40 pounds over the trailer weighted limit and about 90 pounds over the truck weighted limit. I started the pull in 1st gear and never gave it full throttle while hauling this massive load and the truck performed magnificently. I was impressed that it did it and that it did it so well. Loving the modifications!

    That rc company should pay you for advertising you just sold a lot of those trucks and trailers with this heavy haul . This one is going down in history as the most memorable I can’t believe my eyes

      The whole time I was stabilizing it I was watching the suspension and drive shafts to make sure nothing was too overstressed. Even the tires on the truck were mashed to the max. But since this haul I haven’t had any issues, so that’s proof it could actually handle it and continue normal operations.

    not suprised, there are a couple of videos on RUclips, you've probably seen them, where someone sits on the hgp806 trailer and this truck pulls them!! very powerful truck, I've just acquired the new missile launcher trailer kit hgp805 and am making up a 5th connection to allow me to pull both the 806 trailer whilst carrying the p602 truck and then towing the p805 missile launcher as well!! if successful I'll make a video of it....

    nice haul you did there is the diffs locked in this video and what mods have you done

    • @digitrc
      @digitrc  Год назад +1

      Nope I have left the diffs unlocked on this unit. I have changed the motor to a 45t brushed and added a 3 to 1 planetary gear reduction unit at the motor. And I added lights to it and put a sound module in it. That’s the only mods. Wait I put electrical tape on the drive shaft spring pin retainers to keep them in place during high torque pulls. That’s all the mods.

    Did you do any mods to the drive shafts? When I load up my P802, sometimes a pin pops out and the drive shaft comes apart. The pin slides through the retainer under high load. I’m thinking to replace the shafts on this truck.

    • @digitrc
      @digitrc  2 года назад

      I have the same problem. So does another viewer. I put tape on one of them so the spring steel wouldn’t spread to let the pin drop. I need to do that on another trouble shaft that’s doing the same thing. Or you could replace them either way.

    • @tokyorc4Fun
      @tokyorc4Fun 2 года назад +1

      @@digitrc Thank you. I will try the tape and in the meantime maybe look into some different shafts.
