A little late but I had issues with the left side trailer lights not working. I thought I could just splice them into the working side. Nope. I resolved it by reversing that sides last + - wires into the board. Thank you for the great videos.

The "Rams" are called linear actuators. And the main actuator in the back of the main boom puts it between road mode and crane mode
And if you can remap the controls,I would switch the controls between the dual Rams and the single ram. Due to the fact that the single one will only be used when you extended it into crane or contract it to road mode. But the dual Rams will be used continuously for lifts.

It’s really a nice item to add to the truck. I’m still waiting for my dessert yellow trailer to be delivered and unfortunately it’s out of stock at the moment so delivery will be delayed. Oh I purchased the pre-assembled version for the trailer. The crane at the moment is in green so I’m waiting for the dessert yellow to match my truck. Nice video Steve👍👍👍

That little cherry picker is sckookum. I would have liked to seen it extended out full. And put to the test. I could just see it picking up some logs and loading them on a trailer. Or loading artillery pieces and ammo crates. Man a feller could do all manner of cool schmidt with that setup. GOD bless you brother! Great video!

Thankyou for this very informative video. I had the same truck as you, with the dumper., but my gearshift servo was mounted in front of the gearbox rather than behind so there was no existing mount for the hitch servo. I had to 3D print 2 spacers and drill into the crossmember to install the servo with the provided mounts. Other than that, the crane transformation went well thanks to your helpful video. Cheers.

Love it! Got my 806A coming. Will be using it for construction fun. Want the crane, and trailer. The crane comes with the 5th wheel to pull the trailer. I think it is $75 currently.

The crane will fit neatly into the bed of the 801, I thought it looked a bit out of place on the 802, mounted mine in the bed, leave off the cupboard/housing and it sits neat at the front of the bed, boom parked front to back.

I think that you might have put the mounting brackets for the crane plate on the wrong sides that's why it needed to be drilled out

Love the crane just ordered one with remote! Not a big fan of the HG trucks don’t really like they do not come as a kit! The crane is going to be integrated into a Cross RC MC8c kit Can’t wait! Great video!!!

If you buy 2 extension leads for inside your radio you can have steering on the right stick and crane rotation on the left. Just swap the potentiometer leads over in the transmitter. I couldn't stand the steering on the left stick and the crane will only work in the reciever power socket so you can't swap channels.

I think they are still called 5th wheel hitches down where you live. I have ran a sort of similar boom on a real truck and this one is a little too slow for scale, unless the engine was at idle and not set to a higher RPM to run the hydraulics.

The site sale this crane is writing "upgrade", what is the meaning of that? A upgrade for the truck, or are there two kinds of crane, and if so, what are the divverents between them please?

Only thing I didn't like was that the crane slew was on the right stick L/R, I bought two short extension leads and swapped the pots over in the radio, now have crane slew on Left stick and steering on right. Tried to just swap channels on reciever but crane only works in the power socket.

needed to rotate your rails didn't need to drill them out they were installed on wrong side of each other ;-) I've got the tow hitch set up had it for couple yrs on my P801. After looking at the instructions I think those motors are N-20 motors in which the speeds can be changed out if wanted to modify. Ive also working on own light kit which will carry on to the trailer.. My dump version has the light kit and sound installed. Yet I got to switch some of those goofy lights out for more scale look lol..
ps one more thing, IF you cut off the back top battery cross plate you can remove your battery without taking the rear light bar off every time..Your battery will slip in and out for charging. I do use a slightly smaller battery

When replicas hydraulic ram has an electric motor directly attached to it it's called an electric actuator you can get big ones in those adjustable beds they lift up a couple hundred pounds fun to play with if you want to make a TV pop out of a centre Island in your kitchen or something

Excellent video, I’ll be receiving the crane shortly. One question please? The crane’s power is plug and play essentially right? So no rewiring or soldering?, just plug into the little box on the side?

I am having no luck with getting the crane working with the Trasped 16C transmitter and receiver. Could you send me some help showing how you have things plugged into the receiver, are you using the Trasped receiver. I cannot figure out how to get the throttle and steering on the left stick . I'm using a Hobbywing esc and when I plug the crane into the POW port, I lose everything and the esc just flashes red. Any help would be appreciated

the lower boom is only there to set the whole structure in operating mode or idle mode. in operating mode the boom will not touch the cabine

I know your video is old but i wanted to know if you have the light kit installed as well. If you do how did you get the crane and light kit to work together?
It's just the stock setup which has all the lights included
@@RCTanksTrucks247 i have the light kit and sound kit included and when i connected the crane to the pow connector with a y cable i would lose the lights. Which channel on the receiver did you plug the crane into?
To add my truck came with an updated radio and receiver with 16 channels and buttons on the bottom. My lights and sound Cait what’s up against the POW power channel on the receiver. My radio system is the YK006.

There are different models of trucks or what...I have seen in an video that this truck have dumper attached don't. Climbs the slant drive while truck with locked differentials do...
What does locked differentials means..can you explain it..as I also want to buy this and I want an good value of my money ... literally bro it's so expensive..😅😅

Hey Gerry yours should be coming soon.. Don't drill out the rails just flip them around the correct way lol...I have seen the new shipment of these have left port around the 19th ;-). I installed this tonight while finishing up my light kit. Now waiting for my precious cargo ;-)

@@gerrysoldguyreview I saw the crane and knew you where getting the set up. Did you order the trailer coupling as well? Or you got the dessert sand color because they now have came out with that color for trailers. But the crane only comes in green Im pretty sure. I have the dump version that should be thinking this week..

@RC Tanks & Trucks 24/7 he's plugged in the reciver chip and a battery pack the reciver lights up but no matter what he tries the little white TV remote won't bind to it I'll be getting onesoon too but he and I will be getting the 16ch trasped but we still 2ant to run the little remote
