I just picked up one today for 900. Came with the Romeo Zero Elite and 150 rounds of Ammo (100 FMJ and 50 hollow points). Without the add-ons, I would have gone with the regular P365XL. Thanks for the video!
A std pic rail is nice. Back when I was carrying the Dig, I really liked the MagGuts 14 round spring kit. But I have since completely moved away from center-fire CCW. Even rejecting center-fire pistols offered for review. www.ambgun.com/ambidextral-pistol/9mmvs22lr
I turned my rose into a custom version of a spectre. Its unique, shoots well. And against anything else including my vp9.. its still most comfortable firearm for me!
You seem very educated on this topic so hopefully you can give some insight on how this stacks up against the sig p320 xcarry spectre would like to know your thoughts length grip & borax hight how they feel to shoot & so on ty
I can't give an informed opinion compared to P320...so here's my uninformed opinion...P320 is just too big for daily EDC...that coupled with reports of P320 in-holster discharges gives rise to my lack of interest in it. And over the past year, my 9mm pistols are all safe queens since I've wholly gone to the KelTec P17. www.ambgun.com/ambidextral-pistol/keltec
@AmbGun listen you may not have hands on experience but from how you describe guns you're better informed than most I know the drop issue was fixed by a voluntary upgrade for trigger & internals just didn't go that public but was able to try one & it is very thick so you're completely correct
I love the Sig Sauer P365 line up. I have the 10 round, the 12 round P365X and the Spector comp. The XL Spector comp is a bit to large for me to carry, as I am a smaller size person. The Glock 43X is a nice carry as well I believe.
I just picked this gun up with the battle worn slide and black barrel for $699. I was looking for a XL but ran into this deal. I prefer this red dot slide over the ones with the rear sights behind the dot also.
Wow, that's a bargain...not much more than std model. I was never bothered by the loss of the rear sight. 80% of self defense shooting is point shooting anyway. And if the red dot battery is dead, just looking thru the sight window is plenty good enough for hitting a man sized target out to 15 yards.
The gun was an impulse purchase for me about 8-9 months ago. At $1,000, I paid way too much for it. That said, I love the gun. It fits my hand really well, the grip is great, and I like the gold bling, too. Wish I had waited until they dropped in price - at $800 it makes more sense. I doubt this Spectre version will be around long, as I think its MSRP sits almost where the newer comped version of the gun is. Whether you like the idea of a compensator or not (I do not), at least the pricing of the comped version makes more sense.
It's nice when an impulse purchase works out. My boys and daughter-in-law all have std XL's. When a good friend came to join the family compound, he decided he wanted an XL, too. I pointed him to the Spectre on sale. I'm sure he'd have been happy with a std XL, but the Spectre's cool factor is worth it. Check out our review of the MagGuts upgrade that gets 14 rounds in the XL. Invisible bling. ruclips.net/video/kfybFg_HjIk/видео.html
If I hadn’t already purchased the P365XL with the Romeo Zero red dot, for $620 (the RZ is crappy but works) I might have paid the $800 for the Spectre “Gucci” but I”m not in the financial situation to be buying duplicate guns. I’d spend that $$ getting a Walther PDP. The $1095 isn’t that the price with the porting?
According to my LGS, the comp version is $100 more....$1,195. The Spectre used in my review is a friend's pistol. We convinced him to switch from his Glock 19. With the Spectre's sale price, he went for it over the standard P365XL. It's pretty cool, but I'd waffle if confronted with the opportunity to trade my SMSc equipped P365XL for it.
I bought one for 1,100 no tax. I like it.Did I over pay-yes. They are ompossible to get now. The only option is the distressed modlel. I have been a guitar player for over 50+ years. The majors like Fender etc are selling "Reliced" guitars, that are to be looked as "Road worn". They are selling for 1000.00 10 2,000.00 over market. They look horrible. I have never seen a bonified rockstar-I have been working with them for over 40 years, own a factory reliced guitar. Sure, they own some with natural "Road rash"- & that is o.k.- They love the instrument & earned the worn look. You are right-anyone paying for a distressed looking item has rocks in their heads.
Great video!! Are you able to do a video on how to switch the magazine release for left-handed shooters? I'm curious because I am a left-handed shooter. What holster is that that you're using in the video as well?
It's not too difficult to swap the mag button. If I were to do a video I'd have to publish it on my alternative platforms (Rumble, BitChute, Brighteon, and Utreon). RUclips is non-objective in its application of policy as regards "modifications". Being ambidextrous, I carry and present initially left handed. I actually leave the mag release in the "Right hand" configuration because if I am carrying an extra mag (rarely) it is in a pouch right next to my holster so for reloads, I switch the pistol to my right hand for mag changes.
The holster is a WarCat with a red dot garage. I think they were bought out by AlienGear and the holster is now called Roswell. My review of the Warcat....exceptional holster...not Kydex, but a much more durable polymer. ruclips.net/video/Tinycwl5L1k/видео.html
Hey, unlike my regular p365 at about 1 1/2 boxes, the trigger started getting 🔥, finished 3 boxes with a little rest, but stayed hot!?! Gun shop said normal? Guess due the metal 1 piece unit.
Where the hell do you and people in comment section all get such good deals??? Every LGS I see have regular 365 at $600+ not to say the ones with bells and whistles
I know Palmetto State Armory is having a Labor Day sale on some Sigs. We got our Spectre on sale at Sportsman's Warehouse...I expect some Labor Day offerings from them, too. I try to keep the AmbGun website updated with deals on the Sigs offered thru my affiliate links. Check your local gun and ranch supply stores, too. Buying local and you generally save the FFL transfer fees. www.ambgun.com/ambidextral-pistol/sig
My friend got this one on sale for $800. Not too much of a premium. $1100 is excessive. Still, I wouldn't trade my SMSc equipped standard P365XL for the Spectre version. $1100 and it really needs a sweet FCU.

I added an X Macro grip module to this and it's now literally a perfect gun. Picatinny rail and linger grip
