I think Yord could have easily been a better character if they had more time. Like they could emphasize how Yord is constantly look down by his fellow jedi (as hinted at through Jecki and Osha) due to his poor lightsaber skills and force potential and show how he turn to his studies like learning the jedi code (which is why he knows Sol is breaking 13 jedi precepts) and learning a more complex language to prove to his fellow jedi that he is worthy. It would also explain why he sticks to the rules so much because after the spending so much time studying the jedi code, he can appreciate it. They could add also scene with Yord and Jecki discussing how strictly they should follow the jedi code. This makes Yord disobeying Sol much more impactful because it shows he has grown and makes his death more shocking. Honestly a waste of a potentially good character.

There was a moment in a previous episode where Mei sounded surprised that Osha was even alive (whichever episode where Osha missed the stun blast). Obviously something bigger happened at that temple beside Mei lighting it on fire.
I'm willing to bet Mei knows what else happened but thought Osha died at the temple (hence the revenge tour killing Jedi and why she suddenly wanted to stop when she saw Osha).
My theory is that the twins are both clueless about that night and are just stuck in a "tug of war" between the unknown Sith trying to exploit them (or maybe even did the deed himself and made it look like the Jedi did it) and Sol being ridden with guilt and trying to save them.
Nothing really happened in the flashback episode to say the Jedi did something besides show up but something clearly did for that former apprentice to drink poison willingly like that.
Unless Disney is just that bad at writing but l'm willing to wait and see first mao

Wish these episodes were longer so we could care about Yord and Jecki's death more, and why so many wipes! Just hope the swapped places segue into the episode 7 flashback and add some crazy elements to the space chase next episode. And could Qimir be a Knight of Ren? is it really a mystery if most of the characters know all the answers, and it’s just Osha and the audience that don’t?
the show actually feels like it has the parts for an interesting story, it just doesn’t know what to do with them.
…and is the fact of Osha and Mae being Force babies going to be relevant at any point? it was mentioned, almost in passing, in the flashback episode, and that’s it. Osha has visions of child Mae intermittently, but those seem to only go one way, and they don’t seem all that unique in the world of Force dyads and such 🤷🏻‍♂️

No doubt Naboo is the wise one.. taking things with patience and waiting for a good ending and not hating everything just because is different and new, i suppose Sol is not trying to sense Osha because someone that is in front of him looks exactly like her, he doesn't have a radar or detect osha spell activated all time, episode had details but nothing to not enjoy how good was everything..

    • @thorskywalkerplus

Waiting for a good ending? Why should I have to wait for the show to get good at the end? Shouldn't the whole thing be good? And, yes, a Jedi is essentially always sensing the Living Force around them like a sixth sense, that's literally how the Force works. Sol would 1000% not get the same feeling from Osha that he always does; that it's the feeling he's got around Mae.

I was convinced that Mother Coral(?) was Qimir's master but now I'm starting to think they're the same person somehow.
She might have transferred her consciousness into his body at some point for one reason or another, similar to how Palpetine attempted to do the same. This would be their way of retconning the origin of that power into the story. This could also be Hedland throwing in a transgender allegory.
He could also be messing with everyone's memories through some Force power. In what seemed like a throwaway line at the time, he asked the Jedi not to wipe his memory when they apprehended him in Episode 2. Could have been a bit of foreshadowing. I won't go into detail but this could explain a few things but could also create more problems so O figure this is unlikely.

...i think Osha & Mae are Two Sides of One Person...
...(like the scene in "The REYS of Palpatine"...?)
...or maybe i'm just Splitting Hairs...
...but maybe Darth Biceps is their Twin Brother??

Why didnt Qimir just use the force to grab the torch or push it from his back?

With the flashback in ep 7 I believe we'll see that's definitely Sol climbing the temple and we're gonna see him spying on the Witches training the twins and Sol is gonna stumble or knock something over and it's gonna cause the interruption/noise that stops the lesson we see goin on in ep 3. This show is dumb and feels pretty predictable now. I think the line during the dual where Sol says the Sith feels familiar is just a reference to Sol meeting him in the shop where he had made the poison for Jedi Master that ended up drinking it

The whole thing about "oh Qimir couldn't reach the flashlight with his arm" is pointless: he has the Force. He could have easily Force pulled it and thrown it away. Garbage.

Muscles make you less flexible so unless Thor gets jacked, it doesn't even matter if he can remove something from his back. But for reference, I easily could, too. If they used a Droid, they should've used one that could keep moving just out of reach and stay attached to his back. Because honestly, I think you need like Schwarzenegger Mr. Universe muscles to not be able to reach your back. Pretty sure even "Darth Biceps" should be able to unless he's legitimately injured his tendons or something and doesn't have full range of motion. I don't think his muscles are big enough to get in the way. But this channel's Thor really probably isn't a fair approximation. I'm guessing he's not built like MCU Thor lmao.

11:25 I dont forgive this scene. Our Jedi dont know that at the time but Sol still just stays a few meters behind Osha... the one, that caused the bug to be aggressive in the first place. He is just hoping the bug would attack him? poor directing imo

the combat training scene in the temple - remember how they were being taught: "don't adapt to unexpected conditions, just keep doing the same old stuff that isn't working"
If an adversary has cortosis armor, don't try to use the force to throw the adversary at a rock, throw a rock at the adversary. I had thought the show was actually having the characters make smart choices, I liked for example Yor following when Ohsa wandered off from the group, that's a rare example of a character doing something smart. but dumb-choice count has leapt ahead

Right now I'm thinking this series would have worked so much better as 4, 1-ish hour episodes rather than this drip feed or it'll be better if you sit down and watch it all at once.

I do know that jedi practice with helmets on that completely blind them, trusting in the force to direct their blows. But despite this knowledge I am still discombobulated about how anyone in their right mind can attempt to fight with a helmet on. I have done this in a larp setting. You are cut off from most sensory input, like hearing, and most importantly seeing. Whatever shape your helmet is, your only connection to reality is that slice of it that comes in via your visor. One who has not done this cannot imagine the deprivation. You hear everything distorted and you see very little, at night it is impossible. If you look at Smylo Rens helmet you see a pencil thin crack in the structure of the item through which the character can see. You are almost blind. I know, technology, yada yada and so forth. Darth Vaders visor let him see even more clearly. But here. Hmmm.

    Star Wars:
Where a farmer, old man, a smuggler and his dog invades a planet destroying military base filled with millions of soldiers and rescues a highly valuable prisoner…

I'm with Naboo on this I need to see how everything plays out before I can really form an opinion on this show. Right now, I'm enjoying the fun of theorizing about what's going to happen next. I'm still not entirely sure if Qimir is a Sith or a Knight of Ren. They played Kylo Ren's theme at the end did that mean something, or was it just a coincidence? And i love Naboo' name for Qimir hence fourth he shall be known as Darth Biceps 😂

Not to be “that guy”, but just an observation as the discourse around this show continues…it seems like quite a few female Star Wars fans are pretty okay with the Acolyte, and the guys…not so much. I find it kinda fascinating. I think the women writing this show have crafted something that genuinely appeals more to women but the guys just aren’t feeling it.
