Not better than the original trailer. You have to see the original trailer in a cinema on stock to appreciate its trailer. There is a large disconnect between the modern digital world and film for theatre. Clearly this trailer looks better on RUclips or a tv set.
Such a classic i watched recently during lockdown its timeless, funny what time does to films. This film was not well received when it came out now its a classic considered by sight and sound the number one film of all time
@@geezus4418 if you you watched it the first time and stating it's "overrated", i recommend to you to watch it again, and believe me you'll like it, you'll stating as your masterpiece. Cause that what happened to me, in the first watch it was the worst movie i saw, in the second time, it popped up to my top 10 favourite films.
Definitely the greatest film of all time. Author Paul Hyder agrees. His book, 'Hitchcock's Vertigo: A Cinematic Journey Through the Greatest Film Ever Made', is a celebration of this masterpiece. In the Introduction to his book, Mr Hyder tells us why 'Vertigo' means so much to him: "When I first saw Vertigo, I was in my early 20’s. Psycho had already had a massive impact on me, but I was oblivious to most other Hitchcock movies. And then Vertigo hit me like a bolt out of the blue. It was a movie that grabbed my attention from the very beginning. The music of Bernard Herrmann, who’d scored Psycho, was instrumental in captivating me. Herrmann’s music to Vertigo is probably his most romantic and lush score that he composed for Hitchcock. In fact, if one listens to his score for Vertigo, one cannot but recall the Liebestod from Richard Wagner’s Tristan and Isolde. Liebestod, incidentally, is a German word that combines two ideas, love and death, in the same expression. Both Wagner’s opera and Hitchcock’s movie end with the death of a woman who is loved passionately by a man. Love and death stand at polar opposites of the emotional spectrum, but in Vertigo Hitchcock is able to fuse these two ironic elements so that they represent the ying and yang of the movie." www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08DRQMRN3/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_hsch_vapi_taft_p1_i1
It's a shame that no only was this film not a success when it came out in 1958, but Alfred Hitchcock blamed Jimmy Stuart and they never worked again. In my opinion, Stuart should have won an Oscar for his role in this film.
@@fSebastianRe It was controversial because they made modifications to the soundtrack and people were concerned about the choices they made with the lighting and the accuracy of the colors. It must not be that big an issue in 2024 because I never hear anyone talking about it.
What a fantastically done trailer, much better than the original in my opinion (it even spoils less!)
Agree!

Vertigo is a movie that gets better and more rewarding with each viewing. It's truly uncanny. The score alone is amazing, as well.
One of my favorite movies of all time

Of course, the best.
We need a Universal 4K UHD Blu-ray of Vertigo and Psycho pronto!

I find this movie kinda overrated. I found it just solid but psycho is one of my favorites

That's your opinion. There are 20 or 30 masterful global classics above Vertigo.
@@Toughguysdontdance12 Nonsense.
Nice comment but, thanks for spoiling the film with that quote?

It's actually the 2012 sight and sound, but... this a great trail.
Maybe, the greatest movie.
MASTERPIECE. FREUD's THERAPEUTIC THESIS OF "RECAPITULATION."
When will it be in the USA theatres or on bluray?
Coming to my Theatre
The sight and sound poll was 2012 not 2017
is the blu ray 4k?
DVDs are SD
Blu-rays are HD
There are special 4K Blu-rays, but not all movies are released on that format
Where is the 4k disc??
It’s out now
Great trailer but it leaves out my favorite character in the film--Midge.
true

Is this restoration as controversial as the one in the nineties
Why was it controversial, did they change the color significantly?

@@hipsterdoofus1026 Interesting, hope we get the original edition oneday
