    No, the data given by him is wrong. Piezo has high internal resistance, making it a low current generating device. The range is in micro-milli amperes. With this, it would take 70000-90000 hours to charge a cellphone and not 1-2 hours.

    My math may be wrong,
    but I believe he would only get Approx 15KN of force on any piezoelectric device /second embedded in the road probably much less due to the surface area of the tires contact and time of the car on the piezoelectric device and the weight spread across the entire car,
    This is a guess but anywhere between 5000-50000 volts for however long the tires contact the piezoelectric 1/27th of Second .

    It could be possible to integrate a wireless charging circuit and set the power to offload at specific sites in the area to harvest the power and share it across the grid. Would reduce cost of plate installation in the street while allowing each community to power itself with similar resources

    these piezoelectric material can be used in suspension system of the car which absorb the vibration & convert them into the piezoelectricty but it is not efficient, the electricity will produced in micro volt amount thats the major disadvantage of this. I have done this experiment & further working on it to improve. if anyone has any good idea to improve it, suggest me please.

    why not making the roads like this in order to save the energy in a central battery bank in the neighborhood so every car and everything that moves gives back energy. Bad the goverments has to aggree and do it :P , so personal system is fine but a massive would be more efficient if possible to be done :)

      Yes, elaboration would be nice. I would assume the comment is referring to the car producing 150k newtons of force. In order for the calculations to work you would need to look at down force not total force. which would only be a fraction of the 150k.

    This person is not familiar with thermodynamics. systems like this would simply be diverting energy from some other system; with an enormous efficiency penalty. your car would burn more fuel. walking would be more fatiguing.

    • @vijayrajendran5301
      @vijayrajendran5301 7 лет назад +1

    • @nneerraajj2903
      @nneerraajj2903 7 лет назад +10

      Tadesan .. why would the car burn more fuel..? it would just run like it does, and the pressure on the road would generate power, isn't it better to get some electricity from cars and walking, than getting none...?

    • @julduc6113
      @julduc6113 6 лет назад +2

      Tadesan, please could you explain why? I am really interested to understand your point of view.

    • @undernetjack
      @undernetjack 6 лет назад +6

      I think using piezo under the carpet, for example, will take a fraction more of your walking energy to activate the effect. Putting it another way, it would more exhausting to walk on sand or gravel as opposed to just compacted earth or concrete.
      Taking this further, your car would use more gas or electricity on the piezo road as opposed to a normal road.
      The thermodynamics comment above means the use of piezo in these types of applications would only work by causing the system to use additional energy to feed the piezo. You would not get back any extra energy unless you paid for it with extra effort or petrol.
      Not to say there aren't applications where this might work, just not the ones mentioned. You could set up piezo to use wind power or sunlight or ocean waves.....but then there are probably more efficient means of harnessing those.
      Now, some sort of nano piezo on a large scale, utilizing graphene and carbon nano tubes to capture Casimir effect energy .....or even cosmic microwave radiation? That would really tap the keg.....
