You are a good teacher, and because of your laid back tone and approach, the process is less intimidating. 😊

Thank you this was really helpful! Just so you know you can also just drag the pattern straight from the library on the side onto the canvas instead of clicking at the top and you can also click and hold down on the word scale then move your mouse left to right instead of pressing the drop down :)

This is brilliant. I’d always wondered if such a thing as the pattern preview existed. Guessing it works for half drop patterns as well?

    Hi Sarah,
I just found your channel on RUclips after seeing some comments about Immersion on Facebook. I'm signed up for the course and I'm really excited about it. After watching a few of your videos I love what Photoshop can do. I just checked to see if I can transfer images from Illustrator to Photoshop since Immersion will be teaching me Illustrator. It looks like I'll be able to. It seems that Photoshop has a much easier function for creating patterns. Have you created anything in Illustrator to Photoshop? Thanks for your insight and tidbits of information. I'll definitely be coming back to your videos as I go through or after I've completed the Immersion course.

Hi Jane! Hah, that blows my mind that people were talking about my little old channel on Facebook! Out of curiosity, was it in one of the surface pattern design groups?
The good news is that in Immersion you’ll learn that there are “easy” ways to create patterns in Illustrstor, too! I’ve only done a little bit of moving things around between Illustrator and Photoshop, and to be honest I’ve found it easier to keep my vectors in Illustrator and to keep my rasters in Photoshop. That being said, I found that learning Illustrator in Immersion really did help me to learn Photoshop because a lot of the “Adobe language” is really similar across programs. Best of luck with Immersion!! Have fun!

@@pepostudios Yes, it was one of your Surface Pattern Design videos. I watched 3 of yours yesterday. I'm still learning the Adobe programs - a bit daunting, but I feel confident that after Immersion I'll be much better in Illustrator, and hopefully, organically will be better in Photoshop. Have a great weekend!

Hi. What is diffence if I SAVE AS .jpg instead of EXPORT .jpg ?
    Thanh you a lot

Hmmm, this is a great question, and I don’t really know the answer! Without looking into it, I know that generally “save as” involves basically converting the file format of your document, and it typically doesn’t have as many customization options. I imagine you have more options when you use “export as” if that makes sense!
