I've been suffering with chronic illness for 9 years now, and am in need of surgery. Last year, back in December admittedly I was hardening my heart toward God because I've been sick for 5 months (whenever I get sick, it simply stacks with my chronic illness, so I deal with both at the same time) The Lord definitely directed me to this song back then because His Holy Spirit reached right out to me in the verse where it says "But the one who feeds the sparrow is the one who stands by me." That's where I felt him touch my heart, and I began to cry. This hymnal applied to me in several ways. It was a blessing, thank you.

The less I say the better, every word that goes against the health system means less money in their pockets! But our Father in Heaven the GOD revealed within the pages of the Holy scriptures will come to fruition. And his wrath will Judge all unrighteousness. But GOD has given us everything that sustains us in life in it's natural form his creation, plant life and His Heavenly host. If you can read between the lines. My husband and I have made lifestyle changes and almost 2 weeks on we are feeling the benefits. Little at a time.
Had to say goodbye to a treasured family member today. I'll miss her hugs on Sunday morning. Her husband will soon pass as well. God had blessed my youth with their knowledge and wisdom and love. I'm sure God will treasure them both as I've known them and moreso. Bless those who have lost many and few, and let them know a true steadfast love in this life as they treasure it in the next.

Glad you're enjoying! Yes ma'am, in a perfect world, I'd have soprano and alto parts sang by ladies. But there are a few reasons that I don't usually do that. 1.) This is my hobby and I really enjoy being able to do all of it myself. 2.) It's difficult to find time to get with others to record. It's just so much more convenient to do it myself.

Anyone know the story behind this song? Ira Stanphill (deceased now) was a songwriter as well as an Assemblies of God minister. He and his wife co-wrote "Room at the Cross for You." When she left him and returned to a worldly life, he thought his life as a minister was totally lost since his denomination frowns on divorce. Sitting in a mall in Fort Worth, TX one day, God began to give him the words to this song that not only encouraged him to continue serving Christ but has encouraged perhaps thousands to do the same.
Once an individual receives the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit comes into them, that they can NOT lose their salvation. The first reason for this is because salvation comes from God (it is the ?gift of God?). (Ephesians 2:8-9) It is NOT based on YOUR good works! (Titus 3:5) If you have been led to believe that you can lose your salvation, then you must also believe that YOU must work hard to keep your salvation! This warped way of thinking comes from self-righteousness. (Please read Romans 10:2-4) The bible also says that a saved individual is ?sealed unto the day of redemption? by the holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:30 & 1:13)

I would love to hear you do 'Living by Faith' by James Wells and J. L. Heath, 1918, as well as 'I'll be a Friend to Jesus' by Johnson Oatman, Jr., 1922 and J. W. Dennis, 1924. I know the description says pre-1923 so I didn't know if the second one counts or not but either way you do a great job and I have learned to sing some new songs as well as old songs better with your videos. LOVE TYOUR SINGING There are two words for sleep in the Bible. figures the condition of the death of a believer, who is absent from the body and present with the Lord, until the resurrection. 'Lazarus slept', ' we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed' 'let us not sleep as other that sleep in the night' , 'while men slept the enemy sowed tares' Jesus was 'sleep in the boat' (unaware sleep in greek) when the disciples cried 'carest thou not that we perish' He was aware, but we often get agitated and ought to not panic over every thing that comes along Y2K remember that, COVID, "ALL THINGS WORK FOR THE CALLED of GOD" (baking soda tastes terrible, but with other ingredients makes great cakes)
Teaching how to read music through a comment section is less than ideal. But I'll give you some basics of what you're looking at. Notice that each slide has an upper set of stuff and a lower set of stuff? Each set of stuff is called a "system" which contains two "staffs" (or staves). The upper staff in each system contains the soprano and alto part with soprano being higher up and alto being lower down. The lower staff in each system contains the tenor and bass parts with tenor being higher and bass being lower. If you were a soprano, you would follow the upper notes of the upper staff from left to right and then skip down to the upper notes of the upper staff and follow it to the end. Same thing for the next slide and the next... As notes go up the staff ↑, the pitch of your voice goes up. As notes go down ↓ the staff, the pitch of your voice goes down. If you ever have specific questions, I'm happy to attempt to help. But learning to read music is a very involved process and can be too difficult and time consuming for typing instruction out.

Though it’s a good serie of hymns, it feels like a soprano voice would be a great addition. Ladies sing that part very well.
Glad you're enjoying! Yes ma'am, in a perfect world, I'd have soprano and alto parts sang by ladies. But there are a few reasons that I don't usually do that. 1.) This is my hobby and I really enjoy being able to do all of it myself. 2.) It's difficult to find time to get with others to record. It's just so much more convenient to do it myself.

Anyone know the story behind this song? Ira Stanphill (deceased now) was a songwriter as well as an Assemblies of God minister. He and his wife co-wrote "Room at the Cross for You." When she left him and returned to a worldly life, he thought his life as a minister was totally lost since his denomination frowns on divorce. Sitting in a mall in Fort Worth, TX one day, God began to give him the words to this song that not only encouraged him to continue serving Christ but has encouraged perhaps thousands to do the same.
....since his denomination frowns on divorce is a wrong statement. The Bible forbids divorce except for adultery.

Once an individual receives the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit comes into them, that they can NOT lose their salvation. The first reason for this is because salvation comes from God (it is the ?gift of God?). (Ephesians 2:8-9) It is NOT based on YOUR good works! (Titus 3:5) If you have been led to believe that you can lose your salvation, then you must also believe that YOU must work hard to keep your salvation! This warped way of thinking comes from self-righteousness. (Please read Romans 10:2-4) The bible also says that a saved individual is ?sealed unto the day of redemption? by the holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:30 & 1:13)

I would love to hear you do 'Living by Faith' by James Wells and J. L. Heath, 1918, as well as 'I'll be a Friend to Jesus' by Johnson Oatman, Jr., 1922 and J. W. Dennis, 1924. I know the description says pre-1923 so I didn't know if the second one counts or not but either way you do a great job and I have learned to sing some new songs as well as old songs better with your videos. Everything you see on the sheet music slides is being sang exactly as written - except that the soprano part is down an octave.

Teaching how to read music through a comment section is less than ideal. But I'll give you some basics of what you're looking at.
Notice that each slide has an upper set of stuff and a lower set of stuff? Each set of stuff is called a "system" which contains two "staffs" (or staves). The upper staff in each system contains the soprano and alto part with soprano being higher up and alto being lower down. The lower staff in each system contains the tenor and bass parts with tenor being higher and bass being lower.
If you were a soprano, you would follow the upper notes of the upper staff from left to right and then skip down to the upper notes of the upper staff and follow it to the end. Same thing for the next slide and the next...
As notes go up the staff ↑, the pitch of your voice goes up. As notes go down ↓ the staff, the pitch of your voice goes down.
If you ever have specific questions, I'm happy to attempt to help. But learning to read music is a very involved process and can be too difficult and time consuming for typing instruction out.
