I am trying to create a capsule wardrobe. My husband and I are full time RVers traveling the country so I have limited space. About 95% of my wardrobe is casual/athletic for working from home in the motor home or hiking on the weekends, but I really want to put together a small collection of items that will work for a dinner out/theater/lunch with friends/afternoon at a winery/or if I ever get called into the office (hasn't happened since Fall 2019, but could). Loved the looks you showed in this video and would like to see more videos like this. I have very limited space for shoes (a 13"x13" box) so I need shoes that multitask. The same goes for layers like jackets, cardigans, blazers, etc. I think I need to do most of the changing of looks through jewelry, scarves, belts, etc. (things that take up very little space).
Love all of the looks! I don't have a capsule wardrobe nor do I want one. However, I have recently cleaned out my closet and got rid of three big garbage bags of clothes. I do have a lot less clothes now and I want to keep it that way. I find it so much easier to get dressed when I like and wear everything in my closet now instead of rooting through my closet trying to find something to wear. I like having less clothes but don't subscribe to the idea of a capsule wardrobe. It seems a bit boring to me and I find it hard to understand people counting their clothes and limiting their clothing to a specific number. I shop with a lot of intention now when before I used to shop because I was bored or because there was a sale, etc. I buy what I really like regardless if it is on sale or not. When I get home, I try on the item(s) with my existing wardrobe and make sure the item(s) are something I can wear many ways with my existing wardrobe. I hang my purchases up in the closet and sometimes try them on everyday for a week or so to make sure I really want to keep them. I buy a lot less clothes but put a lot of thought into what I do buy now. I like it.

When I packed away a lot of my clothes before a recent move, I was able to put together outfits more readily. I would like to find a "formula" for getting variety out of fewer items. Thank you.
I don't do capsule wardrobe. But my dream is to build a wardrobe with mix and match and then duplicate it for colors. Purging is what I need to do. But I love color and I'm not as conservative as you and I love boho, 70s and ethnic prints and edgy as I sing rock and blues.
Cute idea outfits!!! We just got a J Crew Factory here in Ridgeland at outdoor mall and I was so excited & they sent me a special postcard for their sale opening up. Well I wanted to cry when I asked , Will you carry petites in the store and was told no online only.

The j crew jeans look very good on you, I can see why you like them so much. Unfortunately, Vivia doesn’t make narrow widths - I’m 6.5 narrow- a very hard to find size.

I have more clothes than some would in a capsule wardrobe. But the larger part of my wardrobe goes with everything else. When I shop now, I’m not looking at things that can only be worn one way. I have more room in my closets now that I’m not wasting money on things I may not wear very often.

No, they don't feel like plastic at all. Lots of fibers and fabrics are made from recycled plastic that don't feel like plastic. Ex. The vests Walmart workers wear.

You asked if “more is more?” I must qualify my response as “ capsule wardrobe “ by collections times four at least. Just pick a color and there’s an entire collection in my four closets revolving around that color( black, navy, mauve, red, teal, khaki olive, …). I had too much free time and money to shop. And it all stopped upon retirement!! No where to wear it all and no reason to shop!! What a bummer! Now I watch fashionistas like you. ;) .

I love all the looks, too. Unfortunately, I take after my dad in the “more is more” camp. Ha He exclusively shopped from thrift stores, being a child of the depression. He always looked sharp, though, and he actually enjoyed wearing one of his many suits to his volunteer job at the police courts. I really miss him! And your channel puts me in FOMO mode all the time, which is usually better for the economy than it is for my wallet. It’s all good, though. I enjoy your channel, no matter what kind of music you play.
I'm challenged as large size girl. I know what looks good but can't find the fit or sometimes live in dream land. So I look sloppy, too tight or great. I work clerical district school office 5 days a week, moonlight as a singer and go to church and sing on Sundays. I have painful diabetes distressed feet and I don't like to wear shoes.
I think the music does detract from what you are saying. It is hard to concentrate on what you are saying vs. a sound in the background. I do love watching your videos though, but that’s just my opinion.

I love the idea of a capsule wardrobe but what do you do with the rest of your clothes?
You keep them if you want! But some people go by a strict capsule and that's all they have and they just mix & match that.

You asked if “more is more?” I must qualify my response as “ capsule wardrobe “ by collections times four at least. Just pick a color and there’s an entire collection in my four closets revolving around that color( black, navy, mauve, red, teal, khaki olive, …). I had too much free time and money to shop. And it all stopped upon retirement!! No where to wear it all and no reason to shop!! What a bummer! Now I watch fashionistas like you. ;) .
I guess you get what you pay for. I am retired and only draw social security. I am going to be looking in my closet and trying to match up some outfits with what I already have if I can. What kind of shoes go with skinny jeans and straight leg jeans in your opinion. Thanks so much in advance.

It IS louder at the intro. After that it drops down to a barely discernible level.
I love all the looks, too. Unfortunately, I take after my dad in the “more is more” camp. Ha
He exclusively shopped from thrift stores, being a child of the depression. He always looked sharp, though, and he actually enjoyed wearing one of his many suits to his volunteer job at the police courts. I really miss him!
And your channel puts me in FOMO mode all the time, which is usually better for the economy than it is for my wallet. It’s all good, though. I enjoy your channel, no matter what kind of music you play.
I'm challenged as large size girl. I know what looks good but can't find the fit or sometimes live in dream land. So I look sloppy, too tight or great. I work clerical district school office 5 days a week, moonlight as a singer and go to church and sing on Sundays. I have painful diabetes distressed feet and I don't like to wear shoes.

We can hear. It’s that the music is not “pleasant. “ you’ve generally used much more “pleasant “ music that doesn’t compete with your presentation.

I think the music does detract from what you are saying. It is hard to concentrate on what you are saying vs. a sound in the background. I do love watching your videos though, but that’s just my opinion.
I find the music distracting too, but love your videos otherwise.
