Andy Vegan whats really strange is that in my experience the people who are the most resistant are the ones who are closest to making the change. I dont know why its true, but it is. It doesn't mean pushing them will do it though. Respecting them and leading by example are more effective. It means going within, and finding ways to share our views kindly, firmly, and with humility. Ed does an excellent job of this. I have a long way to go in learning how to do this myself, which is why I watch these videos. Ive been vegan since '94 and have seen enough to know that we'd probably be pretty shocked if we saw some of the people who he's had (and we all have) an impact on, down the line. The Short Guy might be the next to go veg : )
carrijoy1 - Wow! Vegan since 94? That’s 24 years vegan. Congratulations! Meanwhile I’m 6 years in lol I’m not sure I agree that the most resistant people are the ones that change first. In my personal experience, the ones who are most resistant are brilliant at lying to themselves, creating cognitive dissonance, and perfectly constructing their lives so that they never have to confront the reality. ..But you clearly have way more experience in this lifestyle than I do. So I hope it’s true that resistant people are the ones that change first. The thought just seems a little off to me. It just seems like it makes more sense that people who are open-minded are the ones to change. Like me. I was always open-minded and as soon as I learned about what veganism was I changed my life in less than an hour. But that’s just me. I’m not everyone ^_^
carrijoy1 that is true for me. I am only 4 months in but if you would have asked 5 months if I would ever go vegan I would have literally laughed in your face. I think because I knew deep down it was wrong so I doubled down on eating meat to try to pretend.
People like that are insecure. They try to act like how rich people or aristocracy were perceived (and some still are), which basically is selfish, greedy, lacking compassion, all about me me me. They do this to come off like they're "confident" and won't let anyone change their mind regardless of logic or evidence to show they're "strong". In reality, studies have shown that the less intelligent, and poor peolle are FAR MORE LIKELY to be not just meat eaters but addicted to eating meat while the rich and intelligent have cut meat down alot. Poor and dumb and insecure people eat meat because they think they're getting "stronger" or more "powerful" by eating another living beings flesh. In reality that's not true at all and the stomach process molecules only whether from dead corpses or fresh, amazing smelling fruits or vegetables. Molecules are molecules and of course poor stupid and insecure people wouldn't know that as newsflash. They are also more likely to be religious and superstitious. They don't know about chemistry they think eating flesh magically gives them the "essence" and "strength" of the animal, which is stupid and nonsense
@@slinke26 that's what all the meattards do. Glad you woke up and didn't double down in your stupidity because most meattards don't give up meat not due to taste (meat tastes like shit anyway unless you prepare it rifht with lots of marinade, sauce, spices, and Flavors) and grill it, but because they're scared insecure cowards to afraid to have to explain to their stupid friends and family that they won't be eating the Thanksgiving turkey because they don't want to benefit from animal abuse, and then get laughed at by their meattard friends and family. Needy and desperate peolle whos lives are all about how they can trick others into liking them or seeing them as "alpha" are cowards who stick with the status quo and majority opinion. They're the type to have a new favorite team every year depending on which way the winds blowing and which team is number 1. The meattards are also the type who, if veganism became the status quo and the majority became vegans, they'd be THE FIRST people to change vegan out of all their meattard friends family or colleagues and come to meat channels and troll meattards for being meattards. Ignore these losers they're insecure and can't see their cowardice. They don't realize that they're taking the easy position being the status quo. They think it's so "hard" to resist an incredible small minority like vegans and feel extremely challenged by us becaue they know we have the true power to take criticism, judgements, lose friends, and eventually change the world to the point where they will in the future be regurtitating vegan sayings without even thinking about it or daring to challenge it because they are followers and do whatever the status quo says. They know one day they'll be saying what vegans are fighting for today and hate us for it but come here ans act hard as if it will work
One of the things that amaze me about you Ed is how brave you are. The fact that you’re from another country preaching about veganism to random people in such a calm and kind manner without any back up is amazing. Especially with so much controversy around the topic. You have so much integrity and you really inspire me to speak up more about veganism even in situations where I may feel intimidated. Thanks for being such an inspiration!
@EbtsOby your wrong, we’re animals, i do think we should treat them equally. It’s like animals slit you in the neck, butcher you up and cook you. Saying that humans are worthless, their lives don’t matter.
I cannot claim to be vegan or vegetarian but I have been building up towards a completely plant based diet (currently not consuming any animal products during the week). I just recently watched you in a street debate on the plant based news channel about Human rights vs. Animal rights. For myself the video made me change my line of thought on speciesism and how i shouldn't just change my diet for health reasons but for moral reasons. I really like how you approach the topic, always calm and simply asking people to look at their own reasoning. Anyways, love the content and count me as a new sub.
Nathaniel Rutherford hey you might like a channel called Bitesizevegan she doesn't make many videos anymore but her old ones are what helped me go vegan she has videos on all vegan questions you might have
That little guy with the Korn T-shirt really needs further education. He’s reaching so far to try and justify eating meat. So it’s ok to rape little kids and kill them just because it brings u pleasure???? I’m confused how that can even come out of someone’s mouth?!

It's quite evident that Ed is no longer in England....welcome to "Murica (Welcome to my world).......very well handled, Ed......we've got our work cut out for us here
i want to ask you something since u are vegan, what do you think would happen to cows, chickens etc? if we dont use them for meat, milk, clothing etc. lets say everyone stopped eating meat today
i asked what would happend. By vegan logic we would have to kill every domesticated animal, that is bred for food and clothing, because they are not wild, they cant survive without our help they would die in ther winters here, a horrible death. also noone would pay for the animals to live for no use. Also i see almost all vegans are against hunting, but atleast in my country we do not hunt for fun or for the need of food, but we have to regulate certain animals in the wild, or they get overpopulated, get sick, inbreed, over eat so other animals cant survive in healthy numbers. there is many good points of being a vegan, but they also have big holes in their logic towards hunting and farming meat. The vegans is mostly people that have no clue how the nature works it seems like, or ever been in the wild
are you trying to offend me? Regulation is a good thing, it makes the animals life healthy, if we didnt do that they would suffer in huge numbers from various reasons, get a grip and try to educate urself before making stupid remarks
I love the way the hedonistic guy just dug himself the worlds deepest hole. And even better that you, sort of, helped him out of it again. How do you remain calm when people get soooo illogical?!?
Ed, honestly man! Those conversations were incredible. Those were three of the best conclusions I've ever seen when it comes to helping others examine their own morals/ethics. Well done.
Ed bringing up the bad impacts of animal products on human health is a great way of directing those egotistical people to a plant based diet! Great vid man 🌱
funny... What is the majority of the amazon rain forest deforested for? Farming cattle. What is one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gasses? Livestock. Do some proper research please.
TheGIBBYNATR I was being a little dramatic. I eat keto which is moderate meat, but there are tons of studies that show that to be healthy. If you eat carbs, then I think vegan is a good route. If you eat fat, then you should cut the carbs. Sugar and processed foods suck for everyone.
You are the best example on how to aproach a person and TALK, not impose your thoughts, just a chat, with changing purposes obiously, but when you talk well manered and politly, friendly, you generate an enviroment that provokes a higher chance to make the people be interested in what you say other than them being totaly negative and imposing their thoughts without a solid argument, you are amazing men.
Thank you for sharing these videos and for opening so many eyes to veganism. I appreciate how calm and humble you remain throughout each conversation. It's not easy, but you manage to come off so welcoming. So happy to see!
Wow. Recently went to a vegan meet up and was referred to your channel to help with my outreach. So helpful! I’m loving your videos and so grateful and inspired by what you do!
Love how you talk to people Ed, so kind and you really get the public to think about their choices and consider a more ethical, kind lifestyle. Keep doing what youre doing. These people were all so kind, we should faith in humans that eventually change will continue to occur for the better xx
I love how you remained so calm and collected through all of those heartless answers some of them had. I don't think I could ever stay that calm when some decide to act so disrespectful
Mikaela Hight dont disrespect ones life choices then, veganism cult should be a personal decision not forced, meat eaters aren't stupid and know that vegetables are good for them, they dont just devour chickens or cows endlessly. They dont need educated i think everyone 10+ knows how slaughterhouse works.
@@lijingliangssuit8012 we don't respect someone's choice to abuse animals , I think every 10+ knows what things were meant to be choices and what weren't.
I could not have your patience. Just know youre planting seeds. Maybe not everyone, but some will connect to you. And that person could end up changing the world.
Absolutely love these videos, Ed is so patient and understanding, and the people he interviews are still pretty polite and open to what he has to say. Even when people disagree they can get along and have a conversation.
the hardest part is mostly everyone agreed with you, and agrees with the simple logic that a life is more important than our taste buds yet maybe one or two of those people will consider going vegan or at least trying. And the rest just don't care enough to change. its all about planting those seeds and watching them SLOWLY grow...
Ed, seeing the rationality and compassion that you carry in all your conversations further shows me that I am on the right side of history. It's sad to see how misaligned and disconnected a lot of these people are. Keep doing what you're doing. You are the biggest inspiration
Thanks for your work Ed. I think the analogy of rape is a good one. The rapist finds pleasure from raping this person but I think we can all agree its not right since there a is a victim involved. In this case the person getting raped. It's the same with animals that don't want to get abused or inseminated against their will.
+ *Hardcore XL* Hence Ed's argument, made by more famous philosophers throughout human history, that if we didn't think animal life existed to be used according to our whims, it wouldn't be possible for us to think of other humans as existing to be used according to our whims. Duh.
tamcon72 as long as there are humans there is war. As long as day began we have have fought to the top of our food chain...now nobody left to fight without a challenge so we hunt each other.
ED... The guy who said that it's ok to attack the friend. You should've asked him if he got any little brother or sister and hurt one of them for pleasure, or any relative. I bet his answer would've be different!
"It's the reality that sooner or later we all have to face" I admire you and the way you put them into thought, because those are things that seem "simple" but when we find out the hard truth it's like you either walk away or make a change for the best.
After watching the horrific documentaries about farmed animals and cried for days and felt so much sorrow, I now have hope for the future. Thank you, because I just wanted to die, my heart was broken :) thank you
Good work Ed! This is what they call in sales "planting the seed". They might not go vegan today, but they're thinking about it. I also like how you're not forceful and scary. A lot of vegan RUclipsrs are like that, and it's refreshing to see kindness.
Apart from being very eloquent, you make very fair points. I’m trying veganism or at least vegetarianism because of the seed planted in my brain by earthlings, the research that I did afterwards on the subject and because of very encouraging people like yourself. Don’t stop the good work and thank you very much
I recon the conversation resonated most with the men sitting down, there were some big seeds planted in their minds.-As always Ed's activism is so good it's intimidating (to me anyway).
WOW AMAZING, your way of breaking it all down to the main point is fantastic. Your way of discussion should be taught (almost as a formula) to others, so we can in a sense “arm” people with the same discussion abilities as you. I’m serious. We could examine your videos and find that there are particular or specific answers/questions to use for their Q&A. Almost like rules to adhere to when solving a math problem. Example: Interviewee “Well I’m still gonna eat meat because it tastes good”. Interviewer “What’s more important, your taste buds or the life of an animal” I see scenarios like this where the interviewer (vegan) just doesn’t know what to say back to answers like this, a lot of times they just get frustrated or angry not having the right discussion ammunition as ED. We need to start training and teaching fellow vegans on how to have discussion like this, that really have an impact on people in a positive way that plants a seed and makes them really think and not to anger/Offend them or cause them to write of Veganism altogether or see vegans in a bad way. If we or someone could condense ED’s brilliant arguments and logical reasoning into a teachable online or physical class (class name: Lear how to spread, teach and educate about Veganism like Earthling ED) , we could really be on a path to make the world vegan.
Stefan Jooste Being superior? The point is that when you have aquired enough knowledge, you realise that it's not just about brains or brawl, but both. Pointing out a weakness is not the same as claiming the highground, and should instead be looked upon as a gift that can help you achieve something you have yet to achieve. To become greater, fuller, more enriched.
I absolutely tilt at the "following that logic" argument, when a person has to establish a moral baseline to justify their own actions and then just applies that to every question asked of them (even when it seems apparent they don't truly believe it). Talking specifically about the "if I get pleasure from hurting someone is that justified?" question.
Just want to say a big thank you because you and Kip Andersen were my biggest Inspirations for becoming vegan. I was an obsessive meat eater and did not think much about the morality of it or the Impact that my actions have on this beautiful planet that I have to make sure I leave to the next generations as decent as possible. Just a small advice: I think you should mention the environmental impact of eating meat a little bit more öften because many people have no idea and for me that was the number one reason why I decided to become 100% vegan instead of eating meat only twice a month (which was a huge step anyway).

Meanwhile I’m 6 years in lol
I’m not sure I agree that the most resistant people are the ones that change first.
They know one day they'll be saying what vegans are fighting for today and hate us for it but come here ans act hard as if it will work
The guy in red has very valid face reactions haha. Great work Ed.
omg your comments are killin meeee LMAO love how you're very attentive to background details :-)
I'm am just so glad that you exist. I really need to look for a way to help in my own community.
Tara Steiner help??? Help your community? Are they ill?
veganism breaks down to the simplest moral of all: unnecessary killing is wrong
Good post !
Nathaniel Rutherford hey you might like a channel called Bitesizevegan she doesn't make many videos anymore but her old ones are what helped me go vegan she has videos on all vegan questions you might have
Hey great progress on keeping it plantbased! Very long and thoughtful post, I am glad Ed spoke to you! :)
Nathaniel Rutherford that's so cool! Good luck on your vegan journey 💖💖💖
That little guy with the Korn T-shirt really needs further education. He’s reaching so far to try and justify eating meat. So it’s ok to rape little kids and kill them just because it brings u pleasure???? I’m confused how that can even come out of someone’s mouth?!
He is saying do it if you want to , but he is not saying it should go without punishment.
U speak idiot too??? Wow that’s a skill! He sounded ridiculous, close minded, and simply uneducated.

It's quite evident that Ed is no longer in England....welcome to "Murica
(Welcome to my world).......very well handled, Ed......we've got our work cut out for us here
America cant even focus on stopping killing innocent civilians never mind animals 😂
i want to ask you something since u are vegan, what do you think would happen to cows, chickens etc? if we dont use them for meat, milk, clothing etc. lets say everyone stopped eating meat today
Flair Gaming The Same that happens with wild animals. They'll mind their own businesses.
i asked what would happend.
Earthling Ed is a food NAZI.
Great vid man 🌱
That plant based diet is causing damage to climate change and doing irreversible damage to ecosystems.
funny... What is the majority of the amazon rain forest deforested for? Farming cattle. What is one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gasses? Livestock. Do some proper research please.
Don't forget that eating Only meat is also shown to be healthy and they could go that route.
D Dubya proof? I’ve never seen any scientific study saying eat only meat to be healthier.
I admire your patience so, so much
Thank you for sharing these videos and for opening so many eyes to veganism.
Your patience always amazes me, Ed!
I had a bad day today. This made me feel good, thank you Ed.
Love that girl. She’s almost there. On the other hand that guy with the sunglasses is annoying and probably internally conflicted.
Toby The Phantom imagine feeling this threatened because people are trying to make positive change to help animals lmaooo
He’s not internally conflicted, he made it clear that he wants to and is going to continue eating meat.
Vegans are annoying.
@@kubush what do you think the animals think about you? If they had a religion, humans like you would be the devil.
@@samhowl1152 Good thing other animals aren't at stupid as you.
That's was very lovely Ed.
You talked to them in the right way ,calm and precise without backing up.
I could not have your patience. Just know youre planting seeds. Maybe not everyone, but some will connect to you. And that person could end up changing the world.
You have SO much patience. You are doing great, thank you
Absolutely love these videos, Ed is so patient and understanding, and the people he interviews are still pretty polite and open to what he has to say. Even when people disagree they can get along and have a conversation.
This is a really wonderful cross section of conversations. Loved the one with you sitting with the guys, I feel like you planted a seed there.
Ed you are amazing! 🙏 I don't know how you do it - you've got so much patience and compassion. Really admirable 🌱😊
This is so great! Thank you for your activism, I love you Ed!!
Great work Ed! You are always so good at building and maintaining rapport with the people who you chat to, even when the questions get difficult! 👏👏
the hardest part is mostly everyone agreed with you, and agrees with the simple logic that a life is more important than our taste buds yet maybe one or two of those people will consider going vegan or at least trying. And the rest just don't care enough to change. its all about planting those seeds and watching them SLOWLY grow...
Amazing stuff as always mate, big love from all of us
Really love what you are doing and helping people see things from other perspectives 👏👏👏
AyyMJeyy and civilians in the middle east dont want their kids blown to shit but you dont see america stopping anytime soon.
Those two groups of friends were so opposite. The black guys and ginger were really laid back and open.
7:07 deeep listening stage 😆 (guy with a ball)
Love this video!!!
💚💚💚
I watched part 1 and 2 and you ask great questions...good work!
These videos are making me really happy.
Great Video Ed! Always love watching these videos!
I really enjoyed listening to these interactions, good work Ed
Brother you are a legend ! Much respect for your passion and work. Keep it up buddy ! Much love🌿
All i can say is "YOU'RE THE BEST"!
you‘re a real inspiration!
Those guys were a tough group. Amazing job standing your ground and staying calm!
great video ed!! I need to learn patience from you. you stay so calm and factual. loved this video :-)
Thank you for the work that you do!! When and where is your next LA event?
ED... The guy who said that it's ok to attack the friend. You should've asked him if he got any little brother or sister and hurt one of them for pleasure, or any relative. I bet his answer would've be different!
You are the king
I aspire to be as patient as you are.
Respect.
I can't wait to meet you in NYC this Sunday, Ed! You have inspired my family immensely to start animal activism
"It's the reality that sooner or later we all have to face" I admire you and the way you put them into thought, because those are things that seem "simple" but when we find out the hard truth it's like you either walk away or make a change for the best.
I live for your videos!!! Thank you for posting these vids. I actually use some of your points when I talk to people. You are awesome. (:
Great video thanks Ed! Iv been vegan since January and I have a lot of activism planned for the rest of the year 👊
I love you Ed! Keep fighting the good fight!
always impressive ! keep on going man !
I love you
After watching the horrific documentaries about farmed animals and cried for days and felt so much sorrow, I now have hope for the future. Thank you, because I just wanted to die, my heart was broken :) thank you
How do you not get annoyed by people? In another life you could be a schoolteacher, your patience is astounding and I have a lot of respect for it.
The guy in the middle with the 5 guys seems like he is thinking that he shot find a different group of friends
Good work Ed!
This is what they call in sales "planting the seed". They might not go vegan today, but they're thinking about it.
I also like how you're not forceful and scary. A lot of vegan RUclipsrs are like that, and it's refreshing to see kindness.
i’ll hopefully see you on june 20 in texas !
You're a gem, Ed
Excellent stuff.
“Right is right and killing is always wrong.”
Kyla Ball yeah tell that to the military
TheFettuck Yeah. Vegans are so hypocritical.
@@lijingliangssuit8012 no one talks to homosexuals bro
Sam Howl well i really dont want to talk to you.
@@lijingliangssuit8012 I would imagine not with all the stupid things you posted
I love how the bird behind Ed listens to a conversation ))
Thank you Ed! Great conversations
Earthling Ed, you are an inspiration. Please visit Australia!
Red tank top is really deep thinking on this. I love to see it.
Great activism
Very good video, this should get more likes
Apart from being very eloquent, you make very fair points. I’m trying veganism or at least vegetarianism because of the seed planted in my brain by earthlings, the research that I did afterwards on the subject and because of very encouraging people like yourself. Don’t stop the good work and thank you very much
That's awesome!! Keep up the good work!
I recon the conversation resonated most with the men sitting down, there were some big seeds planted in their minds.-As always Ed's activism is so good it's intimidating (to me anyway).
Biba catface hemp seeds maybe.
Ed, you're the man!
I love that young lady, " 'of course veganism'... do you want to be food?"
Example:
Interviewee “Well I’m still gonna eat meat because it tastes good”.
Interviewer “What’s more important, your taste buds or the life of an animal”
I see scenarios like this where the interviewer (vegan) just doesn’t know what to say back to answers like this, a lot of times they just get frustrated or angry not having the right discussion ammunition as ED.
We need to start training and teaching fellow vegans on how to have discussion like this, that really have an impact on people in a positive way that plants a seed and makes them really think and not to anger/Offend them or cause them to write of Veganism altogether or see vegans in a bad way.
If we or someone could condense ED’s brilliant arguments and logical reasoning into a teachable online or physical class (class name:
Lear how to spread, teach and educate about Veganism like Earthling ED) , we could really be on a path to make the world vegan.
Like always, great video Ed, such an inspiration to all vegan activists, keep up with the good work!!
sometimes you see a group of guys that have spent their life lifting weights instead of reading books.
Right, only sometimes, because most times they don't lift weights either..
They be lifting that 16oz beef burger
And reading books rather than lifting weights makes you feel superior to them. Everybody’s different, get off your moral high horse
Stefan Jooste
Being superior? The point is that when you have aquired enough knowledge, you realise that it's not just about brains or brawl, but both.
Pointing out a weakness is not the same as claiming the highground, and should instead be looked upon as a gift that can help you achieve something you have yet to achieve. To become greater, fuller, more enriched.
Noble Purity
That doesn't quite fit here.... or does it?!
Your question at 9:11 planted the seed perfectly
amazing , keep it up men , you are the best
Just want to say a big thank you because you and Kip Andersen were my biggest Inspirations for becoming vegan. I was an obsessive meat eater and did not think much about the morality of it or the Impact that my actions have on this beautiful planet that I have to make sure I leave to the next generations as decent as possible. Just a small advice: I think you should mention the environmental impact of eating meat a little bit more öften because many people have no idea and for me that was the number one reason why I decided to become 100% vegan instead of eating meat only twice a month (which was a huge step anyway).
Wow. Stunning video ed. that little dude just popped up out of nowhere. Bang. He seemed the smart type but then his line of thinking was very dangerous. Love your activism.
was waiting for this follow up!! ... and sadly they all seemed to backpedal. Great conversations and hopefully that seed was planted in some of them.
