    Mam please answer whether the answer is right or not?
    1.MnO2 is reduced to MnCl2
    2.Hcl is oxidised to Cl2
    3.MnO2 is the oxidicing agent

    Substance reduced : MnO2
    Substance oxidized : HCl
    Oxidizing agent : Mn02
    Reducing agent : HCl

    1.MnO2 get reduced to Mn
    2.HCL is oxidises to H2O
    3.MnO2 is oxidizing agent
    4.HCL is reducing agent.

      HCL is reducing agent and Mno2 is Oxidising agent..
      Remember if in a reaction a substance get oxidized that becomes the cause of reduction of another substance..Similarly if a substance get reduced that becomes cause of oxidation of another substance ..

    It is said that when oxygen is added or hydrogen is removed it is called oxidation reaction. So does it mean that only one can happen like only oxygen can be added or hydrogen can be removed or does both happen at the same time?
