Beautiful guitar! Love Schecter! Got a Schecter Demon 7 as my first 7st and came w/ DD Blackouts, a thin neck, and Crimson burst paint= Georgous! Could not have asked for a more perfect gtr. Just got a Schecter J6L used and is decked out= JL Blackout PU's, Floyd Rose 1500 that are on the new $2k Jackson's, and actual X-jumbo frets!
My mark Holcomb prs has a super flat fingerboard at 20” and originally i was worried about it before i had it delivered but once i played it i realized it makes it really comfortable
@@NinecoreNeilI have had Prs se Holcomb for more then a year still can’t get used to the fret size I don’t know why, my fingers “jump over the mountains” when I do slides, still love the flat radius
Rob check out hilditch handmade guitars. He just built this scorpious thing. Was at my guitar tutors house the other day it was the best looking thing iv ever seen. He is from the peak district. You gotta get him on ✌️
hoping to get this guitar but the 7 string version in a week from now :D its really expensive in my country because pf the import fees but i finally managed to save up for it
@@NinecoreNeil i bet, it will be my first 7 string and my first really nice guitar, as im coming from an ibanez grg121dx which i bought used for like 150 euro or so
I miss the Ibanez Gio i used to have ( my daughter has it now), so after 20 years im looking for a new guitar to replace my aging Les Paul with a new Ibanez RG. I was looking at the RG631ALF and the JBBM30, both with locking tuners and upgraded bridges with aftermarket pickups installed. But at $1,400CDN they still have carbon frets and plastic nuts. This new Schecter ticks all the boxes, has awesome passive pickups, and only costs $1,240CDN. I may just order one of these today.
I am looking at this exact same model (in Gray Ghost) but my local Long & McQuade doesn't have any in stock to try out. Have you had any luck with trying one @MidwestOntarioHeadqaters? It ticks all the boxes for me - 24 jumbo stainless steel frets, satin neck, great pickups, tusq nut, simple controls, and killer looks.
@@Temeraire306 I asked My L&M guys about Schechter, and they said they don't carry them in store. We basically have to buy one to try it, and ask for money back if you don't like it.
Here at the continent it will be in stock at Thomann's next week. Can't wait 🙏🤘 BTW I have a Schecter C-1 Apocalypse Rusty Grey and love it to death. So smooth, fast and comfortable!
Your fingerboard radius talk makes me wonder if you've ever played a Mark Holcomb SE model with its 20" flat radius. Most of my guitars are 12" or 12"16" and I don't notice any difference with any of them compared to the Holcomb, but I'm also part caveman. Lastly, YES to volume knob only and having it out of the way.
You can tell if a fingerboard is the same all the way if you pick it up straight after one that isn’t,at first I wasn’t sure what the difference was it just felt quicker for me around the lower frets. So I pulled up the specs Playing single note stuff felt quicker 👍
This is a great guitar! But the top strap button is in a dumb spot and makes it neck dive and put all the guitar weight on your shoulder, what is funny too I see every review and no one is wearing a strap. I have a great fix for this guitar but Schecter ghosted me.
@@KillaFXZ slim bodied guitars will always try and level out due to the neck weight unless you move a strap button But moving a strap button doesn’t even the weight of a guitar it just adjusts how it sits on the strap
I'm thinking about picking one of these up. It sounds fantastic here! Great job Neil 👍🏻
Great guitars
They sit kind of level on the strap rather than sit up but apart from that playability is really great

Totally mate Schecters are leading the race on spec for money
I love my pointy guitars! But man these as of late are winning me over 🤘😎
