I've been on a DADGAD kick recently and exploring new chord/interval shapes. Schecter is quickly becoming one of my new favorite brands for modern metal! Don't know why I slept on them for so long.
I have owned 2 Black Jacks...2 Hellraisers with the EMG's and I ordered and received a Reaper 6 last week which I had to send back..I spoke to my sales rep about this Sunset 6 Extreme yesterday..the Grey Ghost like you have here and looks like either this Friday or Monday a few days later it will be ordered for me..other than the Reaper 6 and the few glitches it had I love all the Schecter guitars..they are and have been fantastic guitars and waiting for my new Grey host is practically killing me.. Thank you for this review and play through and I just subscribed.
@@digital360My Grey Ghost will arrive here tomorrow morning..seems like it's taking forever to get here and I just ordered it this morning..can't wait to plug it into my EVH Stealth amp heads.
@@digital360 Got mine about 1130 am today..it came in absolutely perfect condition..I must admit I was gun-shy after getting 2 other guitars I had to send back that had some serious playabilty issues..1 was a PRS SE CE 24 and 1 a Schecter Reaper 6..I hate sending guitars or gear back for any reason but I took the chance and ordered it yesterday.. I usually use .009-.046 strings so after I play these for a while I will change them.. the fingerboard and frets in great condition..the Graphtech nut is cut well..I only lightly lubed up the Ebony fretboard and tuned the strings...plugged into my EVH Stealth LBX 15 and Stealth 50 watt heads into a 4-12" this guitar rocks ! So glad to get a Non- Floyd Rose equipped guitar as I have several of them..I like the bodies flame Maple top..it is perfectly matched and hate to rub any of the Grey off over time..I might let a friend of mine spray the lightest clear top coat over it somewhere down the line..but for now time to jam !
Heard so many great things about this thing. I’d love to own the 7 string, but not crazy about the two finishes they have. The Triad in gloss black looks clean, but unsure if I want the triad pickup or not.
Dude, that's awesome. Loving what Schecter has been coming out with, and I've always considered myself primarily an Ibanez guy. Glad you like the Dao! Write some killer stuff! :)
@@digital360 I plan on it brother , I was an ibanez guy all my life until Browne announced his signature , tried a ton of schecters since and I can't get over the versatility.

Beautiful open! Schecters are a work of art. I'm still deciding on which one fits... This one would be perfect if it had a 3-way switch...
