@@ExpectResistance the form factor is much better for me. i'ts actually my soundcard when i play live using my reaktor stuff...so i can jam on it too and if something happens to my computer I could always play out with the mk1 while i reboot or whatever
so if i understand the flow correctly, we have a sin wave sample set to loop on the HT, whose output is sent out of the rytm back into the CV input which is then modulating various destinations
very very cool!thanks for this! Do you know if we can mute the track (e.g. HT) that we plug back into Control 1 so we do not hear it but it keeps modulating the targets we want?
No worries, it’s pretty handy. Yeah we can, but not Mute, just turn it off in audio routing to main output in global settings. Mute will stop it entirely.
Thank you again for this great concept. I've been trying to use this technique, but it seems that if the sample is not audio rate, the control in thingie doesn't get triggered and therefore I cannot manage to trigger the modulation velocity. I wonder how it worked for you... I'm sure I am doing something wrong here... Thank you in advance
Ok, I figured it out, I don't know for which reason track 8 doesn't make it work, I've tried track 7 instead, and that works. Even though both tracks have the same output
@@Hikkups hey, that’s odd. It should work with any audio you put in, although id suggest putting something really obvious like a kick drum, LFO or similar and then apply the modulation to an obvious parameter so when you press expression learn you can be sure it’s all working correctly, then perhaps work from that point. Whether the incoming signal is audio rate or not won’t impact it working, but it might impact how obvious the modulation is impacting the parameter you choose. If you haven’t already you can download the project in the description and it should have the files and bits in there, hopefully that will help.
@@ExpectResistance The problem with track 8 was the amp envelope settings along with the overdrive settings.... When i made both amp settings similar, track 8 worked the same as track 7. :) pfft. Basically the amp envelope should have a value of inf for the decay
genius!!!
😇
Certainly helpful to use this approach that’s for sure.
Looking forward to trying this, and great sounds!
Cheers, yeah it’s definitely pretty wild what you can do.
what a cool trick. thank you
No worries, thanks 🖤
this is the only thing i've seen that makes me want ot upgrade my mk1 ha
Oh noo! 😇 MK1 still gotta rock tho right?

@@0e0 they seem way more compact which is nice. I had to open my Mk2 a while back and it’s so empty inside.
@@ExpectResistance i wonder if the sound circuitry is the same
@@0e0 apparently the patches work in both but I’ve not tried.

Yep exactly that, you got it 👍
Cool
It’s pretty fun

OK but hear me out.. What about a 3rd LFO
Hahahhaa!!! That’s too funny, best comment ever 🤣
@@ExpectResistanceCouldn’t you technically use this to make up to 4 with the cv outs? Or is it two? Maybe the A4 is the one with 4.
Looks like two are possible.
@@RobotSnake It's the A4. The truly bonkers add is a dual Filterbank.
@@ZestForLiving303 Yeah, but it looks like the 3rd LFO this dude is asking for is indeed possible as there are two control inputs on the RYTM.

When i go to expression learn, i don't see any signal coming through .... of course the physical connection is there

Nice, sounds like you got it working ok. 👍
