I love the fact that during the fight with Noel you can get the grassy terrain to burn which makes this fight even more easy, but you get a relationship penalty after all.
everything is too fast in Reborn. Except for Florinia, who is the only real trainer to use a more defensive playstyle. This means aside from her fights (especially later ones), you can cheese the entire game with Trick Room.
> No Items > Set Mode > Hard Cap > No seeds Based ruleset, pretty much exactly how I played my first run. I also did no terrain changing iirc, removing all the easy cheese makes the game a lot more fun.
Depends, I personally found it it amazing to set up a grassy field during Titania‘s battle to then change it into a burning field using Charizard. It really felt like going with the games flow instead of against it.
@@ebering4.039 this would be the definition of going against it. The fight is designed around the field, changing the field completely cheeses the game and makes almost every fight really easy. Playing with the game would be to abuse the Fairy Tale Field yourself, by using stuff like Swords Dance.
@@lukaskback9710 The way I see it, if the battles weren't meant to have the field changed then there wouldn't be so many different ways to do it. I like that the game rewards creativity, like bringing a Noivern to the ice gym to blow out the mirrors, stuff that would never make sense in a vanilla game. Also the darker story just made it more satisfying to fight dirty lol
@@phyllotaxis It's moreso designed as an easy way out for people who can't beat it legitemately, similar to switch mode and healing items etc. I don't mind people cheesing the fights if they don't enjoy Pokémon battles and just want to play the story, but people try to pretend like the game is remotely difficult if you cheese which is just not true.
@@lukaskback9710 Oh no, I do enjoy the battles! I wasn't talking about items or anything, the usual stuff that'll make any game easier. I just meant that using the new mechanics in Reborn battles to strategize in ways other than just type advantages, setup moves, etc, had me building teams to fill roles that wouldn't exist normally (i.e. instead of just battling the ghost gym with a bunch of dark types, I had team members there for keeping the lights on). Not that there's anything wrong with approaching battles more conventionally, I just love the options completely unique to Reborn.
Damn nice work. Working my way through the game and using Pokémon I’ve never used before has been pretty fun. No joke, that Fake Out Ambipom looks an amazing chipper. Just breeding it out and getting a good nature sounds painful lol.
Pokemon Reborn | ALL Gym Leaders, Elite 4, and Champion Battles (As a professional pvp player) nah jk love the video, taught me alot about the pokemon i couldve gotten xd
1:00:09 You didn't even need such a complicated strategy for heather. I also used mega mawile and I simply set up 3 swords dances while her crobat was doing pitiful damage with brave bird and then I sucker punched her entire team
Also could've used A.Ninetales (crobat'll prioritize killing A.Ninetales instead of using Tailwind)to put the field into Snowy Mountain and switch to A.Sandslash to sweep her team with stab ICE moves, with the only neutral mons to ice moves being Gyarados and Gengar
In your fight against Kiki, you actually dont have to switch out Talonflame. Gale Wings allow a full HP bird to gain +1 priority on their Flying type moves.
i know, fake out is a +3 and unburden makes hitmonlee faster than me and based on my smogon knowledge i remember it learns priority moves such as bullet punch so i was playing it safe; if both mons use the same priority bracket, the faster one goes first also i like flex plays of switching to ghost types on the predicted normal move
While I do say that the reworked ep19 early game is the overall better experience I prefer ep17/18‘s for the difficulty. Early protect makes a ton of difference and the inclusion of exp bonbons let‘s you train more mons for a varied team. Back then I had to commit to training only my first 6 mons for at least 3 gyms until I had better ways of training. However again, ep19 is more well rounded.
oops i may have forgot to layer the florinia clip correctly, and YES i know my mistake about the garchomp
anyways, enjoy the video !
Our Flobot gets destroyed by kricketot. I used it and holy hell the kricketot fury cut the whole team without dying.
One thing I learned from pokemon reborn and games like it is, never underestimate "weak" pokemon, in the right hands, they can be incredibly strong
fax bro i love ambiGOAT

Nah. The real problem are the fields. Any pokemon can be deadly with the perfect setup.

I ended up beating that night by simply giving Blaziken a Elemental Seed and leading with it to tank hits from Cinccino and get Bulk Ups in
I love how in the Radomus fight him using trick room at that point of the fight ended up working against him since his Gardevoir is fast as heck.

AWESOME JOB!!! There was no way I could go through all of reborn! You're a genius!
my advice is to give it at least one try because you will never know you can beat it if you dont try (trust me it is worth it)
Truly underrated, good work on the vid.

I love that you used Luxray, that's my fave Pokemon, so I'm glad to see someone using it too even if it was for only some of the game haha

respect for using ambipom, that's my favorite pokemon lol

Had no idea that Mightyena got Moxie. Wish I knew that before battling Julia
Music is on point!!
wow talonflame is a beast
9:00 the agency provides.
Where did you get that blue fish pokemon which you used against shelly?
you get finneon at the first fishing pool of the game, evolve to lumineon to make a funny early game swift swimmer
@Winterbitia nice video man actually helpful for me team building
Male Meowstic would've been nice, Prankster screens and Misty Terrain.
terrain overwriting kinda cringe doe :(
Man you should have included the triple battle with the orderlies, fern and then solaris.
i forgor to record
also i beat the entire thing 2nd try

You'd be correct.
wait i am incredibly stupid, saw scarf and immediately thought saphira

you have a good strong team
they should of give them two them mega pokemon especially venasaur
this looks fucking impossible lol but also DEAR LORD THE EDGE
Where did you find greninja?
pokedex quest at agate city, catch 200 different mons
how did blaziken become shiny
i bred a new one with max speed
Is this gba or nds
neither, its an rpgmaker game for computers
What were the hardest gym leaders for you?
terra, titania, amaria are the only hard gym leaders
for e4 it was just laura&bennett, and you can see my troubles in the final lin as well
