What has to be done to get your board in the wave? If you just step forward the board flips. But when its sucked into the wave you can step. So how do i get the board in the wave? Thank you

i can cross step on my 5,10 fish

Can you only do it when you’re toes are pointing towards the way you’re riding. From the surfers prospective if I’m goofy can I only do it on waves I’m riding to the left. Or if I’m regular only on waves to the rihht

you can cross-step while riding frontside or backside. There's plenty of videos where you'll see that.
