Very first start of my 1988 Honda CR500 after complete teardown and restoration. My brother Scott working the camera. Still full on winter here so can't ride it just yet.
Love the 88 CR500 I restored one myself love the colour make sure you line the bottom of the fuel tank on the exhaust side they have a tendency to melt the fuel tank.
Thanks! I was being very cautious for the initial start. Put a lot of work into the bike. Had no idea if it would start and was not in a rush to break anything.
You guys start that bike like a couple of Newbies. Turn gas on, pull choke up, take bike off stand, lay bike over on left side, almost hitting the ground. Bring upright, push kickstarter to compression stroke. Give her a big push, like your angry at her. She will start. Oh Yea! I like your bike and bike cave. 👍🍺
Nothing puts a big smile on my face than staring up my 88 500. Bike looks great and sounds crisp. Looking forward to more videos.
Thanks for watching! Really fun bike to ride.
as soon as the snow melts .........you're ready to tear it up
If it ever melts!

Thanks for the advice. I prefer money.
You forget to add: Then check in to emergency rooms for damage to ankle/calf/knee.
