  • Perhaps one of the coolest and simplest crate engine swaps of all time. A 392 HEMI N/a into a 1970 Plymouth Cuda. In this video I take you for a ride in my friend's Dan mint new build, with a little walk-around for your viewing pleasure and then we go take it for a spin in the Denver countryside, stretching her legs and letting her go...What a remarkable day indeed!

Man that 392 Hemi powered Cuda sounds like the God of Thunder.

What if I told you that SRT in reality means 'Stormbreaker Roaring Thunder'

Just Love the Boomers Bud, best Exhaust muffs of them all... Real Compliment to a Primo Ride. Go Mopar or Go Home.

I’m thinking of putting a 392 in my cuda, I was curious how is the emission smell with the 392 with no cats? Especially since you have side exhaust (windows down). I know it’s not a thing most guys worry about by my wife if getting tired of wreaking like gas in my cammed 440

Engine swaps are cool but maybe you need a wife swap for this specific case?

Would you happen to know his exhaust set up? Headers/mid pipes/mufflers. Also, is it just the basic 392 crate? Or was there stuff done to it? Cam/heads/intake/etc

Happy to answer any questions about my Cuda. It has a Dr Gas Boom Tube exhaust. The engine is a new crate 392 Hemi direct from Mopar, a Passon Performance 833 OD trans, Hotchkis suspension with subframe connectors, Wilwood hydraulic brakes on all fours, 18” wheels, and a subwoofer and amp in the trunk.

Question. If you don't mind me asking. How much was it to swap everything from the srt to the cuda? The reason I'm asking is because, I'm planning to invest in something similar.

Not too sure buddy, not my car and the owner just recently sold it. I'd say start by taking the price of a 392 crate engine and a manual transmission, then add 30%. That should give you a ballpark but only if there's no extensive work to be done in terms of fabrication

If you don't mind me asking, did you have to modify the trans tunnel? Wanting to do this exact swap with my cuda. I'd really appreciate any advice!

We’re doing this swap in our Cuda, we used the stock style transmission hump for the TKX 5 speed manual.
