    How much did everything cost?

    • @AutoLust
      @AutoLust  3 года назад +21

      Around $1,500 in parts and about $600 in labor. That's not bad at all when the 50i X5 cost a lot more than $2,100 over the 35i and I'm quicker, faster and have better gas mileage than the 50i. Thank you for supporting the channel!

      @@AutoLust I’m thinking about getting the 2013 X5 35i it’s got 100k miles. How reliable are they? If I were to make it faster would it still be reliable?

    • @AutoLust
      @AutoLust  3 года назад +3

      @@eriksviri You are buying it past its parts prime so you are going to need to replace some things, but overall IF it was taken care of you should be fine. make sure to ask for proof of service to the truck and pay for a dealer or BMW authorized shop to look it over before buying.

      @eriksviri 3 года назад +1

      @@AutoLust what would I need to replace on it specifically? How much do you think it would cost to replace all the parts rn before they go bad to prevent any expensive damage or fixes

    • @AutoLust
      @AutoLust  3 года назад +1

      @@eriksviri I'm not totally sure what all would need to be replaced because I don't know what all has wear damage on it and what has already been replaced. Usually at that mileage it's time for a major tune-up if it wasn't performed already. The best thing for you to do is to take it to the authorized BMW shop or the dealer and they will tell you everything that's wrong with it before you buy it then you can make your decision on whether it's worth buying. That's the best way to go about it.

    You forget to mention a tune is necessary to thread all these mods together in single harmony to actually reach 400whp. And it’d be great to hear you discuss your option on which tune you choose. I personally would go for a dyno tune rather than canned

    • @AutoLust
      @AutoLust  3 года назад +4

      Thank you for supporting the channel. If you check the 400hp X5 playlist I explained why I'm going with bootmod3 (pinned in the comments under the video I am going to leave a link for) and using the tune with the parts in the same video before this video came out. (I will leave a link for the X5 playlist also) Most people don't understand that a "BMW" dyno tune starts with the "canned tune" the only way to get a TRUE dyno tune is to pay hundreds/thousands of dollars to start fresh with a BONE STOCK tune and have a REAL TUNING company like the one who spent months and sometimes years making the "canned tune" that EVERY BMW tuner uses as a "base power map" and they tweak from there. so if you are getting a dyno tune trust me they are using the same "canned tune" and just tweaking it for a gain so small it wont help you whatsoever just take your money. Unless you have a formula 1 car with a tuning team making the maps from scratch the "canned tune" is your best bet. If you look at ALL the BMW tuners power numbers you will notice that they are all exactly the same (besides some companies ballooning power numbers (peak hp) for clout) for whatever mods or stage you want to run. I wonder why??? Thank you again for supporting the channel! ruclips.net/video/qL0x1q8JYS8/видео.html

Lololo
    I will keep in touch to see what are some upgrade mods for these cars and if I get one from dealer should I get extended warranty it’s why I haven’t got into the beakers but I had a buddy say it’s quick to make power with them I just thought they would be too much too repair

      I would find a 15 or 16. It's the same exact car but a way better price. They are easy to make a lot of power and the repairs are pretty easy and the maintenance is extremely easy. If you have changed spark plugs and coils on any car then you can do it on these cars as well and the oil change. With the mods I have on the channel the reliability is through the roof as well.
