    Nice video that was on point with no extra BS. Did mine with the Beans sump and dropped my tank to make sure the tank was clean and welded a small shield with a bolt on mount to protect it.

      @@PowerstrokeBoiz, on my 1993 instead of doing the sump I used a section of fuel hose and a brass-T fitting to sit on the tank then have a pre-screen after it to catch before my pump. I still don’t go below 1/4 but I’ve done it in a pinch.
      You were smart on the ball valves I did the same on my pump when I need to clean the screen.

    Nice setup and a great install video. You need a finer micron rating than 10 for injector protection. 2 microns is pretty much industry standard. Are the o-rings viton?

    So the whole purpose of this was to one, allow all the fuel in the tank to be used, and two, better filtration/seperation of water from the fuel. Bonus addition of drain out in case of bad fuel... Could that dual port sump be used to feed a China diesel heater?

    Nice Video of the installation and product, but FYI you shouldn’t use the pipe dope on any part of a fuel system, tape only reason being, is the it is not compatible to the fuel.

    Will this work if I don’t have the sump adapter in tank? I did the HUTCH mod. Didn’t know if the gravity pressure of a sump helps the stock lift pump pull through a filter vs stock sending unit style. Thanks

    • @PowerstrokeBoiz
      @PowerstrokeBoiz  Год назад +1

      The effect of gravity DEFINITELY makes less strain on the fuel pump. No point in really doing this unless you go with a sump, whole idea was to be able to 100% utilize the absolute amount of fuel left in the bottom where the hutch mod can’t reach.
