Had a grape tomato plant that grew very large fruit. There were hundreds of tomatoes in huge clusters. I've never seen anything like it. I wondered if it may have been due to some cross pollination. They were a treat....so yummy.

This year I had two types of Roma plants all from seed saved from last year. Some were regular sized, some looked like Siamese twins and shine we're a little more than twice the regular size. I think they cross pollinated with the beefsteak tomato plant that grew next to a few of them. They are very meaty and tasty.

An accidental basil hybrid volunteered in my garden this year, I'm pretty sure it's a cross of sweet basil and thai basil. It isn't fertile however, and hasn't grown very tall. It is a cool plant though, it's fall and it still hasn't bolted. The leaves are tender, too bad the flavor is kind of a generic basil peppery flavor and no real depth beyond that.

Yes I'm 69 and just discovered that I love some hairooms and I've been missing some very good eating.Love Brandy wine and Terracotta and everyone I know is crazy about the"Brad's Atomic grape" and I usually only eat tomatoes cooked in food.
I'm testing a few pineapple the yellow and black., trying the ISIS Candy and some more , Tested a lot of ways to plant ,I did like your no did method and doing much more mulching as I'm getting a mulching and chipper any day, Will get hog manure because it's handy from family.,
This year lots of failure but it's a test year and believe I learned.
You are right about stunted peppers and tomatoes and I built a improved system for adjust my grow lights and now they have 31" of shelf to hold if spring is late.
Yes yet to be done but expect to have my best garden years coming. Anything extra feeds my cousins or my neighbor's little daughters that now know how to pick their favorite"Honey Gold Hybrid tomatoes and yellow pear.
