Thank you for all the inspiration, James. Continue the amazing work, and fantastic tips, and trick you give everyone. You have inspired me to combination plant, seasonally rotate my plantings, and start square foot gardening. So needless to say, you have upgraded my garden experience in a fun, educational way. Thank you!
@jamesprigioni Long time sub here.😊 Just had to say...ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHING garden this year!!!🙌 The varieties, yields and overall health is top notch!🏆 Well done!💪🎆 Much love to Tuckie boy too! 🤗😗💗
I really like this video because you name all the varieties and talk about the positives and negatives of growing them. A lot of varieties I grow I have found out about on your channel. Thanks James and the boss Tuck!
Have you grown Black Krim? Got some at a farmers market and by far the best tomatoes I have tried. Saved seed and grew this summer. It will be something I grow every year now. You should try them if you haven’t yet.
I realise that I have searched far and wide for all of the varieties you have ever shown. I attribute James and Tuck for me and my girls adventures into the fun and colourful and of course mighty tasty world of tomato varieties. We can't get all the varieties yet in Australia but you can bet your bottom dollar I have searched far and wide for all that we have here. Love your honesty James about the problems of production or disease etc. We missed your intro but were so happy to see tuck and we love watching you taste the tomato! Also thanks for showing brads atomic grape fully ripe as so many people don't like it because they don't try it fully ripe. Great video guys!
Poor Tuck, I hope he is ok! And you too, James! You seemed a bit worried. 😢 Love your videos and everything you are doing. Sending you and Tuck some love ❤❤❤❤❤❤🐕
I don't even like tomatoes but I grow them and I'm having big time tomato envy! 😂❤ You're amazing, James! The Arizona heat stalled mine but they are coming back.
I grew 16 varieties of tomato this year and of those my favorite was the Granny Cantrell. My 2 year old daughter who loves watching your channel "garden guy" as she says asked if she could pick a tomato out of the catalog for us to grow...it was the only one she picked, 1.5 lb huge pink perfect tomatoes with the best flavor Ive had 12-15 tomatoes on each plant.
OMGOODNESS!! I HAD NO IDEA THERE WERE SO MANY VARIETIES OF TOMATOES. THANKS FOR ENLIGHTENING ME, JAMES. I LOVE YOUR APPROACH TO GARDENING. LOVE & HUGS TO YOU AND TUCK. 🥰
I just want to say that you are the cutest!!! The way you talk about your tomatoes, your passion for what you do.. just really quality stuff here. 💜🤘🤣🥳 Glad I found your channel!!
James sir…you’re the tomato KING. I cannot stop being amazed at what you grow and how well you share in your videos. Keep feeding New Jersey! Im certain everyone in your area knows who you are and have benefited from your efforts. I love seeing you efforts. Im doing good just to get handful of food from my gardens.
I’m growing sungold cherry and definitely has won my heart! I have one sungold plant that looks like it could be 3 plants but it’s one! I have it growing in a ladder like trellis but if I was to trellis it straight up it would easily be 10ft high right now. It’s growing up to my gutters on the house insane! Awesome video James and tuck! Gave me few more ideas for tomato varieties I’d like to grow next year!
Hey James where is the Rosa De Bern at!? You have always raved about it and you are actually the reason I picked up some seeds for it from MI Gardener store. I have to say, the Rosa De Bern is my favorite tomato variety that I have grown thus far (trying 8 types this year), PERFECT for an open face toasted sandwich, does not even need a crack of salt it has so much flavor! Happy Growing everyone!
I forgot it this year but you are absolutely right, it is a winner and I need to get it planted next year. I tried so many new ones I forgot about some of my faves
James - Keep up the great work. My garden's not as good as yours, but I'm trying. James - your videos are very supportive and inspirational. Love seeing Tuck. Never seen a dog eat veggies! Best wishes to you and Tuck!
Holy smokes - great mater vid. I am growing some of the varieties you've recommended - and there is no lie in what you say! I hope Tuck improves. I get sad when it's cloudy and rainy too. Thank you both!
Great info, I'm planning on referring back to this video for next year's garden. Tuck might be a bit lower energy in this video, but he's still keeping an eye on things! ❤❤❤❤ to Tuck. 😊
James, you have grown the most beautiful tomatoes I have ever seen. I am going to try a few of these varieties next year. Probably the mushroom basket and the cherry tomatoes that taste like beefsteaks. Thank you for teaching us!
I love this format. Seeing all the different crazy varietals you have growing is always a highlight of your videos and seeing a deep dive like this focusing on just one plant is just what I've been hoping for. It would also be great to see a whole series like this where you show off all the different varietals you have of each fruit or vegetable.
James your going to have to start putting your harvest in one of those big woven laundry basket LOL Beautiful as always hugs to Tuck praying for him and you
So, first off, kick ass garden, man. I’m jealous. Second, the way you said “watermelon”. I’m from California but now live in Philly, so I definitely picked up on the accent. Almost every night at the dinner table it’s me vs my wife and daughter arguing about the correct pronunciation of certain words and wooder vs water is almost always at the top of the list. Are you from Philly or the area? Lastly, how do you get your plants to grow the fruit out like that. It almost looks like bunches of grapes. I sounded like you referred to them as “sets”? I wish I had the garden space you have, and also your green thumb. Excellent work, amigo. Always cool to see the abundance from people who know what they’re doing.
Thanks so much for posting, James! I was hoping you'd make a video of all the different amazing tomato varieties you and Tuck have this year. Definitely gave me some good ideas for next year!
Your tomatoes are so cool, I was already pleasantly surprised when I saw and ate 5 different varieties of tomatoes this summer, but this one of yours just straight up blew me away!
Love from India.. 😍😍 I Just love your passion in growing fruits and veggies on your backyard..especially the variety of tomatoes... Some times I feel like coming and collecting seeds from your yard.. 🤷🏻♀️
Congrats @twizzle486 you are the winner of the Gnome Challenge! Send me and email at thegardeningshowjp@gmail.com letting me know what kind of shirt you want, and me and Tuck will send you a link to the free gift! 🐕😁❤️
I live in Canada and just found your channel and I am so enthused again even after gardening for 50 years. You really make my day and I keep looking for new videos. I really want to know where I can find any of these tomato seeds I’ve looked in all the growers that we have in Canada but I do order from and even a couple from the states and I can’t find any of those seeds anywhere. Would love your help on this or anyone else’s. Thank you kindly.
The strawberry tomato is beautiful. I will have to see about getting some seeds for it. I garden in zone 8a - Texas and it is too hot for some varieties. The Lemon Boy did well for me and I always grow the Sweet 100. I tried the Costoluto Genovese and did okay. I did not get to eat one because the birds had a snack on them. The only variety they ate. I did enjoy the Patio Choice-yellow. I did not realize the Orange Hat was a compact tomato. I have some seeds. Will try them next year. Thanks James and Tuck!
they are called microdwarf tomatoes, there are many variety, where I am i like to grow them indoor during winter under LED lights, in 1 to 1.5 gallon pots. when the night temperature doesn't get below 80*F the tomato blossoms might not set fruit. so you'll have to find heat tolerant variety for your climate.
How knowledgeable and informative you are. My tomatoes this year have not been as abundant as in previous years and it appears I’m not the only one that’s had this problem. We’ve had crazy weather in the uk since the end of May. However, the pumpkins and squashes are growing amazingly well.
Incredible James. I can’t wait to try some of the varieties you are growing. Thank you for sharing. I hope they have this variety in b Australia. I hope tuck doing ok.
Just found you! So, happy that I did. I loveeeeee tomatoes! and this video has been helpful in figuring out which varieties I want to try this season. Thank you!
Im definitely going to give a few of those tomatoes a try, next year. I finally got a Jersey Cabbage and man are they good! I hope Tuck is feeling better, this weather gets me too poor Tuckie! 💙💙❤❤💘💘💕💕
JP. I can only grow in large pots on side yard. Do you have videos on how to set-up, support, what kind of pots to use. I am using black plastic, but thinking I need to invest in about 8 large terra cotta. The black plastic ( nursery) containers cause the soil to dry out too darn fast. Next year I want grow 1 mushroom size, 2 or 3 medium (sliceable / sandwich) then 4 snack size maters. All suggestions, from soil, to seed, to support solicited and savored senor!
Hi James. Glad you got such a beautiful and healthy harvest. I live in Arizona and 40 days of 105-115 degree weather totally decimated our tomato crop this year. It was (is) brutal and still ongoing.

Perfect video just what I needed, tried several new varieties this year, enjoyed seeing what you thought of them, my most favorite is blue cream berries
Greetings! You have very nice tomatoes! Tell me... do you take seeds from your fruits and do you get the same variety from the seeds next year? Thank you!
I am also a big fan of sungolds. I decided to plant mostly sungolds this year for eating fresh and then beefsteak, roma and red pride for canning. I’ll have to look into some of the other varieties that you presented in the video
James, this is a fantastic video! Thank you so much. This is my second year growing from seed, and while I got lots of tomatoes, I lost almost all my plants. Next year I am learning from your (and Tuck’s) advice.
Your channel is absolutely awesome! Have you ever encountered giant tomato worms?; they basically turn into flying bugs that fly like hummingbirds! Keep up the great work!
Love this video and your honest comments about each variety. We've had a wet summer here (S. Ontario) so my tomatoes are a little behind in ripening compared to most years. I grew Soldaki for the first time this summer based on your recommendation last year. The first one to ripen will be ready in a couple of days I think. Can't wait to try it. The plant itself is doing really well.
Hello James and Tuck...I have learned so much from you! Which varieties do you think would do better in zone 5b up here in CT? (I used to be a Jersey Girl). Thanks for being awesome!!!
What a great tomato harvest - the assortment looks so beautiful on your table! I've grown Costoluto Genovese before (years ago) and wasn't impressed with it. It took forever to ripen, and it was a pest favorite, so most of the fruit had holes in them. I also wasn't impressed with the flavor. I've been buying cherry tomatoes from the grocery store in assortment packages. There's one tomato in the assortment that has deep green shoulders and an acidic smoky flavor that I absolutely love. Are you growing anything with a similar flavor profile that you would recommend? Thanks James - you and Tuck are the best!
Hi James &Tuck, I've been watching you for yrs now. Absolutely wonderful content. I push my own limits every year, 32 tom plants in a 20/10 ft polytunnel this yr. I'm in N'ire. Hi James, I am new to your channel. Just a quick question....where do you purchase your seeds from? Great content. Thanks a million.
Sakura is my #1 in Southern California. Keep producing even in the winter!
Love that periodic table of tomatoes display!

Mountain are fantastic.
Also I recommend Manitoba tomatoes
Hi James. Glad you got such a beautiful and healthy harvest. I live in Arizona and 40 days of 105-115 degree weather totally decimated our tomato crop this year. It was (is) brutal and still ongoing.
Do you use shade cloth?
Thanks so much! I was just asking you about this kind if video. Gonna take notes for sure. More! LOL
My favorite tomato is the yellow cherry ones. Chiomunks go for them first too. I try a few new varities each year. Tjis year was not as good with too much rain. I grow in containers and a raised bed. Thanks for showing and providing real reviews of growing, taste, and any typical growing issues.
More inspiration for our garden, we are having good luck with tomatoes this year too! ❤❤❤❤❤As always for Tuck!
Love you Tuck!!! Great video James.
Perfect video just what I needed, tried several new varieties this year, enjoyed seeing what you thought of them, my most favorite is blue cream berries

It's the paisano in you that wants to grow all these tomatoes, Pridge.
this was a cool video and is giving me alot of ideas for next season. Would love to see this with other plants/veggies
Me encantan tus videos , muy bien.
Really appreciate this video, thank you, James!!!!!!!!!!
Curious where you get your seeds, i wish i could get such beautiful harvest!
James, this is a fantastic video! Thank you so much. This is my second year growing from seed, and while I got lots of tomatoes, I lost almost all my plants. Next year I am learning from your (and Tuck’s) advice.
Blessings for ❤❤❤❤❤Tuck, and you James
This is a fun to watch video.

Hi I just love watching your garden and when you are harvesting it’s amazing love watching all your videos.
Wow, you are amazing! Love to Tuck!
Nice video James. What a fabulous selection
Hello James and Tuck...I have learned so much from you! Which varieties do you think would do better in zone 5b up here in CT? (I used to be a Jersey Girl). Thanks for being awesome!!!
❤❤❤ and best health wishes to Tuck!
Nice job, always enjoy watching your videos, tell Tuck I say hello.
love seeing you and Tuck!❤❤❤❤❤
Grew supersweet 100 this yr for the 1st time, delicious. My question is, who eats all of this food? I'm up to my ears in food processing. Have you any suggestions for preserving. Love you both 💖
