I fell in love with the band and the folks who visited the Beatles . I visited Liverpool during the coronation and I’ll be back again . Claudia .Brazilian-American- Texan-Austinite

Brilliant, thank you for the memories, saw Al Stuart at St George's Hall with Sammy Mitchell ( who joined with Long John Baldry in the 70's) Changed so much since the 60's and 70's when I worked there. Worked with Ravenseft Properties which built St. John's Precinct. :)
Brilliant tour loved Liverpool and proud to have been born there ,though I moved down south it will always be home for me ,and loved being a round when the Beatles were formed, great memories thank you

Wonderful walk! 🤗 You're so right, there's so much to see in Liverpool just by walking around! You covered lots and it was lovely to see so many of the sights and places I visited myself a year ago! Thank you so much for your brilliant walks, keep it up! 🙌😀
Thank you very much! It means so much to me that you enjoy these walks, and I'm really glad you enjoyed the Liverpool one: it's a great city and you can see so much in only an hour too :)
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video - I certainly enjoyed this walk around Liverpool, which is one of my favourite cities too! I hope you have a wonderful time when you visit this year :)
That was a helluva walk and an absolutely fantastic video! You do some amazing stuff - all the places I would like to see when I'm back in the city. I once walked from Waterloo station in Crosby down the Dock road to take in the sights and finished, abolutely knackered, with an all-day breakfast in Williamson Square. There are some really interesting old buildings down the Dock Road and in the side streets. Check out the Vulcan Recording studios as well. And the German Church on Canning Street - although I am sure it used to be the Scandinavian Seamen's Church. Anyway, the different religious buildings reflect the historical ethnic communities in Liverpool.
Thank you so much for those kind words - Liverpool is an absolutely incredible city, and always a delight to walk around! As you say there's so much to see on the outskirts of the city centre as well, and I've got some videos coming up over the next few months showing just that: :) Thank you for watching, I'm really glad to hear you liked the video - and stay tuned for more!
Thank you so much for this. I'm Spanish, I love Liverpool so much. With covid I can't travel there (I usually go once a year at least) so this walk feels great. Cheers mate
Thank you so much for watching! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video - Liverpool is an incredible place and I'm sorry you can't make it over at the moment, but hopefully you'll get the chance to be back on Merseyside sooner rather than later :)
Thank you so much for your kind comment! Liverpool is one of the greatest cities on Earth, so I'm glad that this video helped you get a taste for the city you might have missed a few times on the way to the football :) Thank you for watching - I'm really glad you enjoyed the video!
Thank you for this video. I went Liverpool 2011 and 2012 to visited my daughter and my son in law as student at university. I'm from Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia.
You're welcome! And thank you very much for watching - Liverpool is a grand city and a great place to study at university - I'm sure the young'uns had a great time there, and I'm sure your visits were good fun too :)
My favourite place such a beautiful interesting city will be back again very soon!! Always enjoy visiting Liverpool so much to see and do, visit every year whenever possible thank you for this video reminds me of what I've been missing during Covid but when restrictions lift I will be back 😊👍
Thank you so much! I must agree with you that Liverpool is such a beautiful city and without doubt one of the most fascinating in the country, I love visiting whenever I can especially to see what's changed in a constantly-evolving city :) Thank you very much for watching - I'm really glad you enjoyed the video and I hope you enjoy your return to Liverpool when it comes!
Thanks for these I'm trying to figure out where to go to uni and these videos have helped me feel the vibe of the Cities. Liverpool is so popular with people in Northern Ireland and I quite like the look of it.
No worries! I'm really glad to hear that these videos have been helping you out - you'll certainly love Liverpool, it's one of the great university cities in the country :) Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
at 29.33 The toy shop forbidden planet is still there, love the quick walk in China Town too, thank you so much for the video, high number of viewings too!!
Ha ha I'm glad to hear it! As much as Liverpool changes, it's always nice when some things stay the same :) Thank you so much for watching - I'm really glad you enjoyed the video!
Ta, great stuff. My place of birth. What a wonderful walk down memory lane and seeing all the new. Can't beat it. I've been away for many years and still recognized loads. Cool. Well done.
You're welcome! Best of luck with the project in the future - Liverpool is certainly an amazing place with so much to showcase to visitors from all around the world :) Thank you so much for watching! I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed the video!
I needed to time Travel to my boy hood day’s.Born in Liverpool I now live in Australia 🇦🇺Ny Uncle was a Draftsman No don’t put many sketches together to build the Docks. My Nan ran the Rydal St Pub Anfield stone throw from LFC thanks . As I’m now 60 and have never returned. I needed to see this🇦🇺👍
I'm so glad this video has helped you to see how Liverpool has changed over the years! It's a great city and you're very lucky to call it home - and I hope this walk brought back some nice memories :) Thank you so much for watching and for your lovely comment!
Thank you so much for watching all the way through the video! It really means a lot and I'm so glad you enjoyed the walk! I hope you're looking forward to your real-life trip to Liverpool soon :)
Wonderful video! Visited Liverpool once each year from 1980 to '83. Incredible place with "incredible X 2" people. Saw the Reds play at their old park; introduced to Bob Wooler (RIP) who took me around one night to see some live bands; dined in and enjoyed the views from within the rotating restaurant; enjoyed the best apple pie given to me by an elderly man and wife who owned a bakery in city centre; allowed by the owner (Mr. Jones) into McCartney's home on Forthlin Rd; etc, etc. So much has changed, yet so much remains. So many street names remembered; and the religious institutions. Would love to see a similar video walk from Tithebarn St. (roughly from where the old Bradford Hotel was) out to Walton, Speke, Aigburth (Sefton Park), etc, etc.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video - you certainly seem to have some very strong memories of Liverpool from your yearly visits back in the '80s, though as you mention there are certainly many wonderful things about the city that leave a strong impression :) And thank you very much for your suggestion for another walk in Liverpool, I'll put that on my list for the next time I'm in the area!
It really is a beautiful city! And with so much to do and so much life and energy around every corner, I'm sure you have some wonderful memories from Liverpool :) Thank you so much for watching - I really hope you enjoyed this video!
Ha ha very much so - and especially when Batman himself is wandering the streets of Merseyside, it very much has that Gotham feel! Thank you so much for watching - I really hope you enjoyed this video :)
I was a little disappointed with the route you chose from the Pier Head. I would have walked to up to where St. Nicholas Church is, as that has bags of history and is a lovely building, from there to the Town Hall, where en route is the place where the Battle of the Atlantic was conducted, you can visit and everything is still there just locked in time, it is not far from the Cavern Area. From there it is an interesting walk up to the shopping area and eventually to Bold Street. As a Liverpudlian living abroad it was still lovely to see the all the various places, I was there 4 years ago. Loved all of it , thank you. Tra lad ……!!
You'll have a wonderful time! Liverpool really is one of England's most spectacular cities, with so much to do that you won't even be able to squeeze it all into one trip, let alone a 1-hour walk like this :) Thank you so much for watching - I really hope you enjoyed the video!
Great walk, thanks. I'd highly recommend The Beatles Story and The Magical Mystery Tour (which takes you to The Beatles childhood homes, Strawberry Field, Penny Lane etc). Both based at Albert Dock.
Loved the video I must return you showed me there is a Lot I haven't seen thankyou for a lovely reminder of when I last went in 2017 before I lost my husband in 2018
Thank you so much! I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed the video - there's so much to see in Liverpool that even this hour-long walk just scratches the surface, so there's even more waiting when you visit Merseyside once again :)
What a fantastic video, really well put together and full of interesting facts but enough space to just enjoy the scenery. I am an ex Liverpool Fire Brigade Fireman, I left the city in 1969 to work in Scotland "for a couple of years" but met a local girl and 52 years later the rest is history. As I get towards middle age (? :-)), I find myself getting more and more nostalgic for the city and Bootle where I was raised. We revisited the city in 2019 after getting a trip for my 70th and will be back, as we only scratched the surface. Once this Covid nonsense is properly sorted out, it'll be straight on a train and a stay at the Line Hotel in Lord Nelson Street. Keep safe and keep up the good work
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video - Liverpool is a spectacular city and you're very lucky to have been born there - it's certainly a place to be proud of :) I'm sure you've had the most wonderful time in your 52 years in Scotland - but I hope you get the chance to pop down to Liverpool again to celebrate another birthday and take in more of the city's history - it really is a magnificent place! Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words!
Liverpool is a great city on a grand scale. Thanks!!! I do wish the city council would develop a world financial hub on the outskirt of the city with some of the tallest skyscrapers that rival Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Sydney, New York, Shanghai, Chicago, Vancouver, Melbourne and Toronto.
You're absolutely right! It's a majestic city and certainly deserves its place among the long list of great cities you've mentioned :) Just a few more skyscrapers would certainly make it a world-famous urban centre! Thank you so much for watching - I really hope you enjoyed the video!
In North Liverpool on the docks We're gonna get loads of new office towers and apartments and everton football club will get the main attraction Bramley Moore stadium
Ha ha it was quite a long walk - I had a good sit down afterwards :) I'm sure you had a great time when you visited Liverpool back in '08 too - and thank you very much for watching the video, I'm really glad you enjoyed it!
You were in Willamson Square when you pointed your camera up at St John's Beacon which was built as the ventilation shaft for the ar park underneath the centre
It is indeed a magnificent place! Without doubt one of the most spectacular in the country, and all that history makes it just that bit more riveting to visit :) Thank you so much for watching - I really hope you enjoyed the video!
It really is! There are few places quite like Liverpool in this country, even in the world - so it's always worth visiting whenever you get the chance :) Thank you so much for watching - I'm really glad you enjoyed the video!
Thank you so much for filming this !! With COVID we can’t go very far lol but thank you for doing this. I loved all the information you gave us and also, the effort to walk around the city 😭 I bet your feet must be tired 🤍 thank you once again !
Ha ha after a big long walk like this I do have to put my feet up for a little while :) But it's always nice to get out and about in one of Britain's very best cities. Thank you so much for watching - I really hope you enjoyed the video!
Ha ha absolutely it's quite the climb isn't it! A great place to get some bike training in though I'm sure :) Thanks for watching - I hope you enjoyed the video!
@@LetsWalkUK I did, very much.... though one of those motion balancing things may be worthwhile investing in for future projects!!! :) I enjoyed seeing the way that the recent new builds have really come together and changed the city of huge gaps and dereliction I grew up with
@@anthonysiebenthaler682 Ha ha I will do! I'm still very much a beginner at making walking videos - I keep striving to make them as good as I can though :) You're absolutely right, the building of Liverpool ONE in particular has really breathed life into the city centre, and it works nicely along with Liverpool's great heritage!
Absolutely! Liverpool and Everton both deserve all the attention in the world for the role they've played over the history of the football league, and what they've brought to the city of Liverpool over the years! If you'd like, you can watch a walk across Stanley Park from Anfield to Goodison Park on my channel via this link too: ruclips.net/video/8uGgBYY_tZ4/видео.html Thank you so much for watching - I'm very glad you enjoyed the video!
Liverpool has been a place I would have loved to have visited at least once, alas, I doubt I will now unfortunately. This video is lovely but it's a shame about the weather on this day, and I would have loved a narration instead of a minimal text telling us about Liverpool's history and about the buildings. Thanks for posting anyway.
You're very lucky to call it your hometown! Liverpool is such a magnificent city and without doubt a point of pride for its people, with all that history and gorgeous architecture to be seen :) Thank you so much for watching - I really hope you enjoyed the video!
Sounds wonderful! It's a city to be very proud of - and there's a lot that's changed about Liverpool over the last 16 years - I wish you best of luck with the move :) And thank you very much for watching - I really hope you enjoyed the video!
Nice walk in Liverpool England. I enjoyed it. Have you ever walked in the tower of London. I've been there on vacation. It's another great historical place to visit. Can't wait to see more of your videos soon. I enjoy all of them. Greetings from Canada 😀
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed the walk around Liverpool - it's a great city! I have been to the Tower of London before, though many years ago when I was younger :) Thank you very much for watching and commenting as always, and do stay tuned for more videos in the future!
I would have thought that it warranted more than just a walk past of the Beatles Statue ....Only the 4 most famous people to come from Liverpool...................
In watching your Liverpool Walk, I saw that you mentioned several times the "Religious Buildings of the City", However, you, glaringly, neglected to mention the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King, Liverpool's Roman Catholic cathedral, which is the seat of the Archbishop of Liverpool and Mother Church of the Archdiocis; which, considering that Catholics form the largest religious group in the city, at 27,4% of the population, is quite a "faux pas" !
Hi there! I've done a bit of research and it turns out that the name change came in 2001, when the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board sold the building to a new developer after they had moved out already back in 1994 :) I hope that answers your question - and I hope you enjoyed the video too! Thank you for watching!
The newly recent Batman movie was filmed on top of the Liver buildings and st Georges hall (Gotham City) fast n furious & Harry Potter movies was also filmed in the Mersey Tunnels. I Took some great Pics off the top of a double decker bus of a Gotham City themed St Georges hall with all the actors in costume it was surreal.
Thank you so much! I'm really glad to hear you're enjoying the videos :) On the dates - the day that I upload videos can range from just a few days to a couple of months after recording, so do bear that in mind when you're watching!
beautiful video has anyone thought about how the hell did they build these magnificant buildings back then with precision and yet nowadays they got no chance of building them at this quality
You have some inaccurate info on the sound track the only ferries which call at the landing stage are the famous Mersey ferries. that is with the exception of the summer only service to the Isle of Man which from next year will have it' s own dedicated berth in Trafalgar Dock, The Royal Liver Building has two faces one to the river and one facing the City the one facing the river plus the Liverbird above it is to welcome seamen back home the other are both facing the city, the Queensway Road tunnel does not run under Brunswick Street but under Dale Street ,Bold Street in days gone by was THE street to be seen shopping in as it was the street where all the toffs always did their shopping ,now it is just a bit of a dump full of bars HE
@@LetsWalkUK I know my dad's side from Salford well I was born in Salford but can't be bothered talk about it sorry well I live Coventry since 2001. My mum and dad are are divorce 2004 so I don't want talk about it. I rather live Newcastle instead
How about visiting Liverpool's FIRST BISHOP? Not many,if any in Liverpool know about him,or visit his grave,it's a crying shame, such a prominent figure in Liverools History, sadly now just about forgotten.
Just noticed that Liverpool has been stripped of its world heritage status and I'm not surprised. The waterfront has been utterly despoiled. In particular, the Museum of Liverpool building is a disgrace both in design and location. As being originally from London, I am so sorry that the destruction of my city has now been inflicted on others. Sorry
I know! It's such a shame to hear - but I'm certain people will still continue to flock to Liverpool, a great city in its own right :) Thank you very much for watching - I really hope you enjoyed the video!
it wasn't an award. and we didn't lose it. the unesco organisation stole our city centre's status as a world heritage site because we knocked down a building they liked.. but that building had been unused and in disrepair for years, and we have very little space in the city centre, and needed a place to build new student accommodations.
Why on earth have you missed out Paddys Wigwam...the Roman Catholic Cathedral..famous and iconic building in Liverpool....are you anti Roman Catholic ????????

Thank you so much for this. I'm Spanish, I love Liverpool so much. With covid I can't travel there (I usually go once a year at least) so this walk feels great. Cheers mate
Thank you so much for watching! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video - Liverpool is an incredible place and I'm sorry you can't make it over at the moment, but hopefully you'll get the chance to be back on Merseyside sooner rather than later :)
Great video well done. Have been to Anfield loads but don't get to see the lovely city. Many thanks for your hard work and great editing and subtitles

Thanks for the perfunctory mention to Everton FC - the senior football club in the city.
Thanks for these I'm trying to figure out where to go to uni and these videos have helped me feel the vibe of the Cities. Liverpool is so popular with people in Northern Ireland and I quite like the look of it.
No worries! I'm really glad to hear that these videos have been helping you out - you'll certainly love Liverpool, it's one of the great university cities in the country :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed the video - you certainly seem to have some very strong memories of Liverpool from your yearly visits back in the '80s, though as you mention there are certainly many wonderful things about the city that leave a strong impression :)
And thank you very much for your suggestion for another walk in Liverpool, I'll put that on my list for the next time I'm in the area!
This is brill. I am from Vancouer B.C.Canada and my mom is from there and I miss it so much
So many memories in this beautiful city!
It really is a beautiful city! And with so much to do and so much life and energy around every corner, I'm sure you have some wonderful memories from Liverpool :)

@@LetsWalkUK From Albert Dock to the radio tower, Lime Street Station to St. Luke's church, it is one of the best cities in the world!
liverpool reminds me of gotham city somehow, what a fascinating architecture!
Ha ha very much so - and especially when Batman himself is wandering the streets of Merseyside, it very much has that Gotham feel!
Thank you so much for watching - I really hope you enjoyed this video :)
The new Batman movie was filmed in Liverpool
Beautiful city.... hope to visit soon. .
You'll have a wonderful time! Liverpool really is one of England's most spectacular cities, with so much to do that you won't even be able to squeeze it all into one trip, let alone a 1-hour walk like this :)
Thank you so much for watching - I really hope you enjoyed the video!
hope you visited
Great Tour Virtual:) Great video. Thanks for sharing.

Great walk, thanks. I'd highly recommend The Beatles Story and The Magical Mystery Tour (which takes you to The Beatles childhood homes, Strawberry Field, Penny Lane etc). Both based at Albert Dock.
Loved the video I must return you showed me there is a
Lot I haven't seen thankyou for a lovely reminder of when I last went in 2017 before I lost my husband in 2018
Thank you so much! I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed the video - there's so much to see in Liverpool that even this hour-long walk just scratches the surface, so there's even more waiting when you visit Merseyside once again :)
That was an enjoyable walk, thank you.
Thank you for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Beautiful Liverpool I hve to visit one day
What a Grand city. Had no idea it was so magnificent. Europeans really know how to build cities, lemme tell you.
It is indeed a magnificent place! Without doubt one of the most spectacular in the country, and all that history makes it just that bit more riveting to visit :)

You're absolutely right, the building of Liverpool ONE in particular has really breathed life into the city centre, and it works nicely along with Liverpool's great heritage!
Just watched this a second time. i need to visit Liverpool
Thank you for loving my city, just to remind you, however, that Liverpool has 2 football teams!
Absolutely! Liverpool and Everton both deserve all the attention in the world for the role they've played over the history of the football league, and what they've brought to the city of Liverpool over the years!

You are quite right. Liverpool and Liverpool Reserves
what time of day did you film. Lived in bootle in the 70s. Moved to America and not been back. Thanks for the walk.

I have been to the Tower of London before, though many years ago when I was younger :)
Thank you very much for watching and commenting as always, and do stay tuned for more videos in the future!
Just as a matter of interest does anyone know when the “Mersey Docks and Harbour Board “ building became The Port of Liverpool building
Hi there! I've done a bit of research and it turns out that the name change came in 2001, when the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board sold the building to a new developer after they had moved out already back in 1994 :)
I hope that answers your question - and I hope you enjoyed the video too! Thank you for watching!
You are now walking along Church Street the main shopping district before Liverpool one was opened
Very nice videos. Are the dates accurate when they were recorded?
Thank you so much! I'm really glad to hear you're enjoying the videos :)
On the dates - the day that I upload videos can range from just a few days to a couple of months after recording, so do bear that in mind when you're watching!
Thanks very much. Is it possible to include the dates when they were recorded please? Wonderful videos.
beautiful video has anyone thought about how the hell did they build these magnificant buildings back then with precision and yet nowadays they got no chance of building them at this quality
Time and money, sadly.
You have some inaccurate info on the sound track the only ferries which call at the landing stage are the famous Mersey ferries. that is with the exception of the summer only service to the Isle of Man which from next year will have it' s own dedicated berth in Trafalgar Dock, The Royal Liver Building has two faces one to the river and one facing the City the one facing the river plus the Liverbird above it is to welcome seamen back home the other are both facing the city, the Queensway Road tunnel does not run under Brunswick Street but under Dale Street ,Bold Street in days gone by was THE street to be seen shopping in as it was the street where all the toffs always did their shopping ,now it is just a bit of a dump full of bars
HE
Not sure that was Clayton Sq at the bottom of BoldSt

St George's Hall used to contain all the criminal courts for many years before the QE2 court building was opened at Derby Square

extremely informative. shame about the weather!
Thank you so much! I don't mind a cloudy day, but you're right - Liverpool is even more beautiful on a sunny summer's day :)
Sorry

Liverpool lost the World Heritage award
I know! It's such a shame to hear - but I'm certain people will still continue to flock to Liverpool, a great city in its own right :)
Thank you very much for watching - I really hope you enjoyed the video!
it wasn't an award. and we didn't lose it. the unesco organisation stole our city centre's status as a world heritage site because we knocked down a building they liked.. but that building had been unused and in disrepair for years, and we have very little space in the city centre, and needed a place to build new student accommodations.
Why on earth have you missed out Paddys Wigwam...the Roman Catholic Cathedral..famous and iconic building in Liverpool....are you anti Roman Catholic ????????
