There is a slot at the back of the suspension ball joint, isn't it easier to spread it to get the ball joint out?

Awsome video dude. I did notice your metal ball joint covers on the lower arm, good idea 💡 may I ask where you got them as a Google search didn't bring much up.

Hey Chazz I've been watching your videos showing the replacement of passenger side driver side cv axel assembly. I have a 2005 x-type and from what I can gather your vehicle is pretty much the same. I purchased both sides but the drivers side (passenger side US) is a complete assembly. I can't split the inner axel from the rest of the assembly. I purchased from Rock Auto and assumed they would send me exactly what you have here. From what I've read your not supposed to remove the entire assembly because you could damage the transfer case gaskets. Do you know if that's true and if so could I leave the current inner shaft with bearing housing in place, remove the existing boot and insert the new tripod/tee bearings into it with new boot? I know this is a lot to ask. Just looking for some guidance.
