Thanks for watching! Yeah, the vote was taken from the boards at Gamefaqs.com which are pretty heavily weighted towards JRPG - which is why this list was so heavy with those turn-based RPGs. Still, an interesting comparison against IGN.

Twisted Metal Black is my favorite out of all the PS2 games. It has a very interesting story and has clever backstories for all the characters. It has been named one of the best vehicular combat games by many sources. The gameplay is great and replayable. The only thing is that it is a little dark.
My all time favourites from PS2, those that just thinking about fill me with the purest absolute nostalgia, would definitely be: - Shadow of the Colossus. - GOW 2. - GOW 1. - Prince of Persia Trilogy (Especially Sands of Time...) - Silent Hill 2. - DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3. - Shadow of Rome. - Spartan: Total Warrior.

All solid games. I know no one played it but urban reign is my favorite ps2 game. And God of war 1. I agree with the top ten list too. I have most of them. Most ps2 games are great. Glad to see onimusha 1 and 3 on there. The 2nd one had good combat and puzzles. I didn't like the 1st one that much but the art and sound is amazing.

Gary I don't really mind the JRPGs because I've played like 2 of them, so I can't really judge how much they deserve their placing or not. It does seem a bit overkill, the ones with real time combat look especially bad when you put them side by side with Devil May Cry or even Onimusha and God of War (Kingdom Hearts 2 seems to be the one exception). Other forums will also have similar quirks, though. You might end up with lists dominated by platformers or beat em ups. I'd use metacritic but limit the lists to the highest rated entry on any given franchise (to avoid 30 sports games in every list) and maybe put the leftovers in the description. Although I'd keep the obvious spin offs like MK Shaolin Monks or Metal Gear Acid.

way too many turn based battle games while the only one i ever played was that FFX which i really didnt like (my dad liked it). It's super sad that i saw no WWE games in the top 100. I know people always criticized them but honestly for PS2 era, they were absolutely awesome, especially old ones (2006 and 2003/2002 ones) and that WWE 2011 was AWESOME. also TIME SPLITTERS RULES!!!! Loved the game, literally the only game i spent most of my time with was Time Splitters (after WWE games of course). memories... *cries* thank you for the list

The N64 and PS1 were where 3D games started, but almost everything was lousy. PS2 fixed all that, added in more great stuff than we thought possible, and ushered in a new era of gameplay, with so many games that nobody could ever hope to keep track of them all. And the fact that it was backwards compatible means it still has an edge over the modern systems.
i disagree with on ps1\64 era yeah a lot of game were rough around the edges in that era but still they were very fun and enjoyable games overall and just like ps2 ps1 has tons of awesome hidden gems but yeah i agree ps2 era was great improvement so many great games i will always consider the 6th generetion to be the golden age of gaming

Wow FF12 at Number 7, i like that, see what amazes me a lot about that game is that even tho it faced so many difficulties in development and it was such a bad situation to a point where at that time it was considered the longest development period ever, yet even with all the hardships the game still managed to eart a spot in people's heart because it was just so good. Which makes you wonder how good it would have been if everything worked out perfectly? I think if things worked well for them at that time. Ff12 would've probably ended up being the best ff ever.

Not even age of empires 2? Considering it came out 5 odd years earlier and is still going strong online 20 years later it surely deserves a mention! I know it’s mostly pc but it was on ps2 and it has more people playing it today than most ps1 2 3 and 4 games! Also black was an awesome game, still gutted they never made a sequel, I reckon that would have gave COD a run for its money and kept them less greedy with some competition! MK Deception is the best one for 3D era MK. The Konquest mode is superb, people still requesting NRS to bring back Konquest mode like Deception, a semi-open world of MK realms. Great divers roster. Epic storyline with the Dragon King stuff. Fun mini-games. The Shredder Sub-Zero, still regard by fans as the best design of Sub-Zero till now. People keep requesting that design return back as the skin. Many critics praised the game. Armageddon on the other hand, it was a bit downgrade. While they just make all characters return, most of them got a bad redesign, lackluster. A lot of fans doesn't like it. A forgettable main protagonist Taven and it's storyline. Lack of characters unique ending scene. The only redeem factor for the game is the character creation and that mario kart style mini-game.

Oh man ... I wish you had given me that feedback a year ago. My initial videos were a mix of big names and hidden gems...(I was particularly proud of the mix in my original 100 Random PS2 games) - but as you can see from the comments, those weren't very popular (either that, or people just like to complain...) Now that I've done a couple of "top" 100s, though - I'll try to go back and do some more of those "hidden gem" videos! Thanks for letting me know!

Kingdom hearts 2 and the first one at number 10 and 8 made me really happy literally just hit me with a wave of nostalgia from my childhood!

No Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is a bit disappointing. The game that made me love RPG's and hack n' slash games, a huge part of my gaming childhood!

Not even age of empires 2? Considering it came out 5 odd years earlier and is still going strong online 20 years later it surely deserves a mention! I know it’s mostly pc but it was on ps2 and it has more people playing it today than most ps1 2 3 and 4 games!
Also black was an awesome game, still gutted they never made a sequel, I reckon that would have gave COD a run for its money and kept them less greedy with some competition!
Anyway there’s a lot of great games on ps2!

The best game on ps2 MK Armageddon
MK Deception is the best one for 3D era MK. The Konquest mode is superb, people still requesting NRS to bring back Konquest mode like Deception, a semi-open world of MK realms. Great divers roster. Epic storyline with the Dragon King stuff. Fun mini-games. The Shredder Sub-Zero, still regard by fans as the best design of Sub-Zero till now. People keep requesting that design return back as the skin. Many critics praised the game. Armageddon on the other hand, it was a bit downgrade. While they just make all characters return, most of them got a bad redesign, lackluster. A lot of fans doesn't like it. A forgettable main protagonist Taven and it's storyline. Lack of characters unique ending scene. The only redeem factor for the game is the character creation and that mario kart style mini-game.

The list *is* in order. If you read the video description, you'll see a link to the list (on Gamefaqs). If you're referring to the MetaCritic score - it's only there so the viewer can compare how a game ranked critically vs how much voters liked it.

Ugh, rpg after rpg after rpg, I forgot how many were on this console, whatever happened to simplicity, like Ico & SOTC, games that aren't drenched in shit
So, SOTC and Ico are *both* on the list - at number 6 and 25 respectively. In the future I recommend actually _watching_ the video before commenting on it.

+Sphere Code I started doing that. You can see some on my channel (e.g 100 Random PS2 Games). But then there were a bunch of people complaining "You missed game X".
I am not saying your content downgraded but i really enjoyed that type of content, it made me discover so many hidden gems all thanks to you and it was what made me subscribe but keep up the good work man, i see that your channel has grown much bigger
Oh man ... I wish you had given me that feedback a year ago. My initial videos were a mix of big names and hidden gems...(I was particularly proud of the mix in my original 100 Random PS2 games) - but as you can see from the comments, those weren't very popular (either that, or people just like to complain...) Now that I've done a couple of "top" 100s, though - I'll try to go back and do some more of those "hidden gem" videos! Thanks for letting me know!
