    What a wonderful performance! There are several pronunciation inaccuracies. But in general, it’s not bad for a non-Russian. Greetings from Russia! 🇷🇺

      Btw, instead of repeating the "We shall drive a bullet..." verse, you might sing this one (for some reasons, there are no recordings of this verse, but the verse itself exists):
      Kak dva vrazhdébnykh pólyusa,
      Vo vsyom vrazhdébny my:
      Za svet i mir my bóremsya,
      Oní - za tsárstvo t'my!
      Like the two hostile poles,
      We are hostiles in everything:
      For lightness and peace - we fight,
      For the kingdom of darkness - they do!

      @@user-dl1og3le2y I’d offer a slight poetic adjustment to the English, just if you want to preserve the rhyme:
      “Like the duelling poles are we,
      Opposed in every way;
      For light and peace fight we,
      For darkness’ empire, they”
      The verse is just much better in Russian though. For instance, свет can mean light, but it can also mean like “the world”. враждебных means many things - hostile or antagonistic in the sense of ‘hostile forces’, but also like evil or malign, of ‘The Enemy’ with a capital T, which is one of the ways Satan is described in the Bible. That’s actually why I went with “darkness’ empire” - it’s a common motif in English language prayers.
      It’s a powerful stanza that really brings out the ‘holy’ part of the Sacred War.

      It's actually easier to learn a song than to learn to speak the language...
      Source: Every person in Europe who's older gen and can't really speak English + sings along to songs in the radio... / I was in the French Foreign Legion, and a big part of learning the language was learning marching songs phonetically and only later understanding the meaning.

      It’s actually easier to attempt to speak Russian than it is to learn an entire song.

      @@evano4780 Yeah, said no one ever. Then again you're just some American soy Antifa boy, so what would you really know about actually learning a language and speaking it fluently...
      "attempting to speak" meaning babbling a word or two, MAYBE, but ACTUALLY attempting to learn to speak a language... yeah way harder than just phonetically learning a song.
      I could sing a whole range of songs and recite the whole code of honour before I could hold basic conversations, that weren't broken gypsy French. The same went for everyone else in the platoon, except the francophones, naturally...

      Not really comprehension, though. You need to understand pronunciation and how to read Cyrillic (unless you're reading Latinized Russian), yes, but you don't need to form your sentences on the fly or understand what they mean, you just need to produce the sounds. Speaking a language is more than just copying noises, it involves the ability to create sentences, phrases, and meaning of your own.
      For example, I can sing Spanish songs with near perfect pronunciation, but I don't understand most of the stuff I'm saying and could never speak Spanish fluently. I know that a double "L" in Spanish produces an English "y" as in "you" sound; R's at the beginning of words or R's that are doubled are rolled; an N with a tilde is pronounced like an English "nya"; that words with no accents usually have emphasis on the second last syllable, and that vowels with accents over them ignore the second last syllable rule and are emphasized instead. Once you are fluent in the pronunciation of a language, singing a song in it is just making those noises with melody, something that is not particularly difficult.

      Mogło by tak być, pięknie, bohatersko, gdyby nie wspomnienie tych żołnierzy Armii Czerwonej w większości traktujących wyzwalane ziemie i narody jakby były podbijane więc łatwe do grabieży i gwałtu. Zostali na wiele dziesięcioleci chociaż nikt ich o to nie prosił, wręcz przeciwnie. Można być wdzięcznym jedynie tym którzy leżą po cmentarzach, pamiętać o nich. Nic więcej. Po 1991 widząc jak chętnie przychodzą z "bratnią pomocą" prosimy by zapomnieli o tym i zajęli się swoimi sprawami.

      @lubomirpetrowpahuta 5 месяцев назад

      @@gladys2563 Najprawdopodobniej mało wiesz o historii Polski i jej sąsiadów. Widzę to ze stereotypu jakim się posługujesz. "Wyzwolicielska" Armia Czerwona pozostała we wszystkich krajach przez które dotarła do Berlina. Polskę opuściła aż 17 września 1993 r. Daty symbolicznej dla Polski bo wyznaczającej dzień napaści Rosji Radzieckiej 54 lata wcześniej. Jak się domyślam to również uważasz że dzięki wydajnej pomocy ZSRR odbudowano Polskę. Bzdury opowiadasz. ZSRR okradało wszystkie zagarnięte kraje ze sprzętu jaki mógł się przydać i wywoziło w głąb swojego terenu. Spodziewali się konfliktu z Aliantami i przygotowywali zaplecze produkcyjne. Mój dziadek pracujący w fabryce materiałów wybuchowych sprzeciwiał się kradzieży i wywozowi nowoczesnego sprzętu do ZSRR za co został aresztowany i osadzony w obozie pracy. Wraz z nim aresztowano jeszcze jedną osobę która nie przeżyła "przesłuchań" przez Urząd Bezpieczeństwa nadzorowane przez NKWD. Ciało oddano w zamkniętej trumnie zabraniając otwierać. Pisząc o odbudowywaniu Polski myśląc o pomocy ZSRR może miałaś na myśli prezent Stalina dla Warszawy w postaci monumentalnego Pałacu Kultury i Nauki. Owszem, budowali go radzieccy robotnicy, technicy i inżynierowie. Problem w tym że dla Polaków miało to symbol taki sam jak obsiusianie drzewa przez psa. Stalin tym potworkiem sygnalizował że ZSRR pozostanie na zawsze na tym terenie. Piszesz też że gdyby nie Armia Czerwona która Polskę "wyzwoliła" to ludność Polski pod niemieckim panowaniem wyniosła by 1 milion obywateli. Ja natomiast stwierdzę że gdyby Armia Czerwona nie weszła na teren Polski to o 1 milion więcej obywateli przeżyło by wojnę. Co najważniejsze, ktoś kto staje się uciążliwym i nieproszonym gościem nie może być traktowany jako wyzwoliciel.
      You probably know little about the history of Poland and its neighbors. I see it from the stereotype you use. The "Liberating" Red Army remained in all the countries through which it reached Berlin. She left Poland on September 17, 1993, a symbolic date for Poland because it marked the day of the attack by Soviet Russia 54 years earlier. As I'm guessing, you also believe that thanks to the effective help of the USSR, Poland was rebuilt. You're talking nonsense. The USSR robbed all captured countries of any equipment that could be useful and took them deep into its territory. They expected a conflict with the Allies and were preparing production facilities. My grandfather, who worked in an explosives factory, opposed the theft and export of modern equipment to the USSR, for which he was arrested and sent to a labor camp. Another person was arrested with him who did not survive the "interrogations" by the Security Office supervised by the NKVD. The body was placed in a closed coffin and it was forbidden to open it. When writing about rebuilding Poland, thinking about the help of the USSR, you may have had in mind Stalin's gift to Warsaw in the form of the monumental Palace of Culture and Science. Yes, it was built by Soviet workers, technicians and engineers. The problem is that for Poles it had the same symbol as a dog urinating on a tree. With this monster, Stalin signaled that the USSR would remain in this area forever. You also write that if it were not for the Red Army that "liberated" Poland, the population of Poland under German rule would have amounted to 1 million citizens. However, I will say that if the Red Army had not entered Poland, 1 million more citizens would have survived the war. Most importantly, someone who becomes a nuisance and an uninvited guest cannot be treated as a liberator.

    Hey can I make a suggestion? I think a wonderful song for you to play would be the Soviet song "Песня о Тревожной Молодосты" or "Song of the Restless Youth". It's a classic communist song from the 1950s.

      Нынешняя украина имеет такое же отношение к анархизму как идеологии, примерно такое как франкистская Испания к коммунизму. И тем более, так цинично писать комментарий поддержки украинцам у которых официально герой страны нацист Бандера который воевал за рейх, под видео с советской песней.
