Great haul. I'm really loving weird girl lit this month. Most of these I've read or our on my tbr, but I just added Nefando because I also loved Jawbone.
Same!! I'm eating it up right now. I can't wait to get to nefando but I'm also scared because I want it to be another 5 star so I need to chill and not get too over hyped in my head 😅
Just discovered you here, and enjoying watching! I love the sound of the Hansel & Gretal retelling and I just got book 3 of the Indian Lake Trilogy as i loved one and two
Foe will be on my may tbr and I can't wait 😆 but literally same. I mention and Foe and ITOET in my video scheduled for Sunday lmao. Monstrilio is in it too 🤪🩷
Hahahahah I was ~shocked~ reading that. Apparently it's an older book originally published before 2000, so 😬😬 I'm worried for the tone but I will see and report back eventually 😂
currently reading one for my enemy by olive blake and i am OBSESSED. highly recommend. i started reading olivie blake with the atlas six and personally really enjoyed it. but one for my enemy is a romeo and juliet inspired story featuring two powerful witch families in underground new york city and it is incredible.
oou The Honeys!! 🌼🍯🐝 one of my favorite Horror books read last year! I need to re-read that. If you liked Bunny you should like this too. Horror starts on first page so buckle up 😆
Just found your channel through recommendations and instantly love your vibes. Totally won't judge you for your book haul, I recently had a huge haul and might already be adding books from yours to my list....👀 Also I got My Heart Is a Chainsaw from Book Outlet and really need to read it 😅
If you like bug horror you might like She is a Haunting! Its YA horror but the bug parts in that are disgusting. Also Silver Under Nightfall is SO GOOD. It's so engaging and all the characters are amazing. I hope you have fun reading it!
*immediately adds to want to read list* THANK YOU for the rec 🫶🏻🫶🏻 Seriously I have heard nothing but absolute praise for silver under night fall. Part of me wants to wait until the sequel comes out with the matching uk cover but idk if I can wait that long
i just found your channel and am obsessed! have you read organ meats yet? it's about girlhood and friendship and i think they turn into dogs.... lit fic horror
I started it on audiobook, but I realized I wasn't paying enough attention and had no idea what was happening 😂 so I definitely need to read it physically. I will try again eventually. I read a k-ming chang short story in a collection and totally loved it!!
I've wanted to read the Silver Under Nightfall books for a long time but I think the US covers are hideous. I ended up getting the Illumicrate editions and they are much nicer.
The cover of The Cherished is misleading.... I hated that book 😭 Not only that, but it was a bit problematic with ableism and the author did not handle talk of mental health or race very well at all. The mother is a blatant narcissist but it's never addressed. And the way pregnancy is referred to as basically a burden and everyone just focuses on how fat and like a "whale" the character is, was just odd to me. (Just to list a few reasons I unfortunately did not enjoy it...) 😕
Weird-Girl Lit is my favorite subgenre!!
Same 🥰🥰
Master’s of Death’s cover and sprayed edges is soo stunning and gorgeous! It’s beautiful
I know right 😍😍
Combo natural horror and weird girl lit, the short story collection Fruiting Bodies is so so good.
Adding it to my list now 😍😍 thank you!!
Great haul. I'm really loving weird girl lit this month.

Omg Weyward was AMAZING! 5 stars for me!
I can't wait to read it 😍😍 i love a witchy, historical, women-centric story
Monstrilio was the best book of 2023 for me !! Sooo beautiful and heartbreaking !
I'm hoping to get to it in May!!! 🖤
Just discovered you here, and enjoying watching! I love the sound of the Hansel & Gretal retelling and I just got book 3 of the Indian Lake Trilogy as i loved one and two
Yay, thank you so much 😊😊
Happy to hear you enjoyed book 2 of the Indian Lake Trilogy!! I definitely want to finish up that series asap.

I LOVED House of Hollow.
It was so good!!
Woodwitch sounds…interesting 😂😂😂 Happy reading
Hahahahah I was ~shocked~ reading that. Apparently it's an older book originally published before 2000, so 😬😬 I'm worried for the tone but I will see and report back eventually 😂

You having the same reaction reading the synopsis of Woodwitch as me 🤣🤣🤣 Great haul! Lots of fun-sounding books here
I was so stunned 🤣🤣
@@WickedScorpio yeah, it turns out that book was written awhile ago. In the 80s, I think?
@Kritz_Reads oh boy.. that's not a good sign 👀 there were already enough red flags lol. I can bet on a lot of misogyny
special editions are soooo cool!! wowww
Thank you!! ☺️
I love norse mythology so I'm very much looking forward to A Fate Inked In Blood ✅️
Same!! I need more norse inspired books. The only other ones I've read were the witch's heart and krampus by brom
currently reading one for my enemy by olive blake and i am OBSESSED. highly recommend. i started reading olivie blake with the atlas six and personally really enjoyed it. but one for my enemy is a romeo and juliet inspired story featuring two powerful witch families in underground new york city and it is incredible.
I have that one!! I literally have like four of her books but have yet to read one 🙈 maybe I'll start with one for my enemy! It sounds so good
I loved Last Days! Some parts genuinely freaked me out !
It sounds so good! I'm so excited to read it. I'll definitely prioritize it over summer

I loved Monstrilio!

Also I got My Heart Is a Chainsaw from Book Outlet and really need to read it 😅
Thank you so much 🥰✨️ hahaha the list is truly neverending. I really loved my heart is a chainsaw, I hope you do too!!
@@WickedScorpio I can't wait to read it. Maybe I'll start after I finish Voices in the Snow by Darcy Coates 👀
If you like bug horror you might like She is a Haunting! Its YA horror but the bug parts in that are disgusting.

Ohhh!! I've been so interested in Last Days! I've heard it's pretty disturbing!
Awesome haul!! 😍🖤
Ooo I love to hear that 👀
Thank you!!
Your hair is lovely!
Thank you! ☺️
House of Hollow was really good.
So good!!! 🌿🖤
8:09 please tell me you have read the Ambergris trilogy by Jeff Vandermeer! Fungi horror its one of my absolute favorite trilogies ❤
No but now I want to 😍😍 I JUST finished annihilation and didn't even realize he had another series. Adding it to the list right now
💚🖤
A lot of books that are gonna help The Jesters (the best team) to win Escape next month.
Hell yeah 👏👏🎯
If you like horror you need to read House of a Hundred Whispers by Graham Masterson.
Ooo I will look into that. Thanks for the rec
i just found your channel and am obsessed! have you read organ meats yet? it's about girlhood and friendship and i think they turn into dogs.... lit fic horror

How many cats you have? Three? That amy😊
Yes I have three! 🥰
@@WickedScorpio you so lucky they're so adorable 😍
I've wanted to read the Silver Under Nightfall books for a long time but I think the US covers are hideous. I ended up getting the Illumicrate editions and they are much nicer.
Yeah that us covers are not my thing and if I don't like a cover, the odds of me picking up the book is very small 😂
Do you collect books vs read? Seems odd to have 40 books at one time.
Both! And I have wayyyyy more than 40 books. Welcome to booktube!
Oh dear. My personal library totals around 1000 books. I guess I am more than odd. Let people enjoy their hobbies!
You think the original Hansel & Gretel story is “kind of dark”? You have impossibly high standards for something to qualify for actually “dark”
It's what happens when you read a lot of adult horror versus children's stories.
@@WickedScorpio haha fair enough.
