Network: CBS
Synopsis: GHOSTS is a single-camera comedy about Samantha and Jay, a cheerful freelance journalist and up-and-coming chef from the city, respectively, who throw both caution and money to the wind when they decide to convert a huge rundown country estate they inherited into a bed & breakfast-only to find it’s inhabited by the many spirits of deceased residents who now call it home. The departed souls are a close-knit, eclectic group that includes a saucy Prohibition-era lounge singer (Danielle Pinnock); a pompous 1700’s Militiaman (Brandon Scott Jones); a ‘60s hippie fond of hallucinogens (Sheila Carrasco); an overly upbeat ‘80s scout troop leader (Richie Moriarty); a cod-obsessed Viking explorer from 1009 (Devon Chandler Long); a slick ‘90s finance bro (Asher Grodman); a sarcastic and witty Native from the 1500s (Román Zaragoza); and a society woman and wife of an 1800’s robber baron who is Samantha’s ancestor (Rebecca Wisocky), to name a few. If the spirits were anxious about the commotion a renovation and B&B will create in their home, it’s nothing compared to when they realize Samantha is the first live person who can see and hear them.

lol the trailer was such a tease with jay "seeing" pete
That was part of an episode in season 1.
Jay actually just saw someone behind Pete...
I prefer the UK version but recently started and got to love this one too.
Where is season 3, I need season three!!! lol...Love this show, great cast, perfect, profound characters, and hats off to the writers!! This is one of the best comedies to come along in a long time.
The actors are on strike‼️
A good show to watch. The only show right now where I can tolerate watching from beginning to end. 😁
Hopefully this will be on British tv soon, I really enjoyed season one.
Watch the British original version much better than this
@@KafkaProductions - wouldn't say it was better. I think it's certainly *different*... I like both of them
PLEASE LET JAY SEE THE GHOSTS NOW
I hope so to
Yes
The fake out in episode 1 omg
Well great too. Let see if they want to make this version different from OG 🤞
No. That would make it like any other ensemble comedy. He's a great straight man (most difficult role to play) & they've only really started to use him as the alienated outsider. We watched her get rid of his cultist friend with help from Ghosts, let's see more of Sam being the medium who brings Jay closer to them, there could be lots of comedic miscommunications & also sweet moments of growing closer together. Jay would be hilarious as neglected problem child acting out for attention.
My new favorite show. Just binge-watched the entire first season. Looking forward to season 2. I'm old enough to remember another TV show (and I think a couple of movies) called "Topper", which "Ghosts" reminds me of that show. Funny is funny, whatever the situation. Like all really great comedies, you also come to care about the characters. There really is a close connection between comedy and "drama" -- or, at least, making it more than just "one-liners". People still watch the Andy Griffith show, not just because it is funny, but it builds in enough "drama" to also make you care about the characters.
Topper 1 of Cary Grant's 1st starring roles. Ghost & Mrs. Muir classic romance that would become sitcom 2 decades later.
I watched both, its good but the British origional was better
I remember seeing Topper on the UHF WKBS channel 48 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1965 Leo G. Carroll had the title role.
@@unowen-nh9ov I saw that one on ABC WFIL channel 6 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as well, with Hope Lange & Edward Mulhare as the protagonists. It was a pretty good show back in the mid',60s
I watched the bbc version first. When I first began the US version, I honestly didn’t like it. Especially the first two eps which were frame to frame similar and it seemed like they spoon-fed audiences, not trusting them to come to conclusions themselves. Also maybe because I absolutely adored the bbc cast. But then as I continued watching, once the plot was established they branched into their own worlds and the characters became their own , no longer shadowed by their counterparts. I genuinely enjoyed it. The stories delved deeper into each ghost’s backstories and the connections bt the ghosts themselves were explored further.
I also like the couple here better. The husband is actually helpful and doesn’t let her do all the work. He gets things done and is also great at being a partner she could rely on. I loved that he had some connections n interactions with the ghosts too n not completely sidelined.
And the protagonist is genuinely nice to the ghost. She doesnt always use the ghosts for her benefits unlike the BBC one. Honestly that couple was too selfish and dumb for me. They couldn’t have anything done without the help of the ghost. They almost died multiple times if not for the ghosts. I love this couple sm better. Though I love the ghosts in both versions very much.
So I hope you all could also give it a try and judge for yourselves .
Sam looked great in that outfit , how dare they say she looked washed out
At last, everyone gasped 🤣🤣 Poor fellow cried out for the gasp in the 1st season!! Its so good All the characters are amaing, funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking forward to watch Season 2, when it comes to the UK. Also hope that Crush gets some more screen time
Wait… is this a knock off of Ghosts? As in the one from Britain?
it’s an american version like the office
donde puedo ver la segunda temporda
Loved the UK version but actually prefer the US one . Great crew!
Hii anyone from India?? Can you please tell me where do I watch season 2??
Hello fellow indian didi you watch season 1 ???
where can we watch it in india please do tell
Hell yeah!
🔥
I cannot believe people favour the American copy over the British original. It blows my mind how people can tolerate the American version😭
Where is Felicia Day? It's like she's stolen her soul!
The English version is better.
What's the name of the English one? Also called Ghosts?
@@MrAdwoa2003 yes and there is a 4 season in that
Incomparable.
Guys how many épisodes in season 2 will have ??
Yes, like All in the Family & Sanford and Son were inferior, snob, English version isn't even producing as many episodes, tomato tomatoe.
NO GOD PLEASE NO
Nah!
Bad copy of British original from 2019.
Give it a chance, it's actually funny and well done.
very unfunny, should not have made a US version.
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
✨First And Amazing✨
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Blimey, the English one was bad enough!
Best part - no laugh track!
I can't wait for Season Three. If the writer's strike ever ends. NO SCAB GHOSTS!
Writers' strike ended: actors' strike, still going on👻
If she know how to operate the steam engine I’ll approve her
british version is way better.
Sometimes this reminds me of bewitched. Can't wait to see who visits next. I think the humor is more adult than in season 1 .I love ❤️ the backstop of the ghosts.
IKR⁉️
❤️❤️❤️❤️this show!😄
This is horrendous, why can’t you just leave the original alone lmao
Oi yanks, stop copying our stuff it's not good.
I don't think it's bad. Let's face it it could have been a Red Dwarf or IT Crown situation.
The BBC producers are literally part of the production team of the US version too. Plus one of the actor of the UK version is in one of the episode as a cameo.
