This is why I wish Jay could see the Ghosts. Just imagine how much more their friendship could grow if they could talk directly to each other.

I mandela effected a scene from the original uk show where i swore i saw a clip of mike falling off of a ladder and then being able to see the ghosts, but I guess not. But since the US version has way more eps per season, it'd be cool to have jay gain the ability, then lose it...or something.
I'd love a story like where Jay finds Pete's glasses which allows him to see and hear Pete but gets headaches if he wears them too long (not his prescription)
Then it’d just be a show of two living people being able to talk to ghosts. I want it to, but the show is what it is due to the current dynamic.
My guess is in the series finale or maybe one of the season finales/start of one of the newer seasons, jay will see them
There's something beautifully tragic about that psych-out when Jay sees 'Pete' and just wants to give him a hug. They both believe that Jay can see them, and then you see the guy standing behind Pete and boom, Jay walks through Pete and hugs the delivery guy, but Jay just looks like he's so happy to be hugging whom he suspects to be his favorite ghost, and then finds out that it isn't him.
"beautifully tragic" is the perfect way to describe that scene, both Jay and we the audience are so happy that he can see the ghosts now but then it turns out he cant :( and the fact that both jay and pete were so excited makes it even more tragic :(
Jay and Pete’s friendship feels so natural! I love how it flows so perfectly on camera.

Yes, their dynamic is adorable, and I don't mean to undermine that. But can we talk about the camera work and editing in this show??? Specifically how well it manages to cut between shots, switching between the ghosts being there and not being there. It's done really well, like it's literally seamless. Like that one shot in season 2 episode 1 where the camera goes behind Sam and Jay, and the ghosts become visible to the audience as the camera moves?! That was so clean I had to watch it three times.
And yeah, that's to be expected from a professional show, but I can't help but admire the talent that went into the behind the scenes here.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who appreciates the incredible editing in this show!! I am so impressed every time there is a cool edit (like that shot from the season 2 premiere you mentioned) and I feel like no one else appreciates all the work that goes into the BTS of this show! It's amazing :D

I like Sam setting boundaries between Jay and Pete. That would be exhausting to have to translate for hours on end. Though it would be cool if Jay eventually was able to see and interact with the ghosts too!

She drags him out there away from his city and friends and can’t spend a few hours with her partner doing something he loves? Ghosts or not that’s whack. “Setting boundaries” is hey let’s keep it to once a week. Twice a month whatever not flat out lying and refusing it at all
Jay deserves to be able to interact with the ghosts maybe at least he could gain the ability to hear them or something .Then he can hear Pete and play d and d together
yes i hope that one day Jay gains the ability to at least hear the ghosts, though it would be great if he could see them to. it makes me sad that Jay can't see or hear his best bud Pete :(
I know the show is about Sam being the only one able to see ghosts, but I really wish Jay could see them too. It would be great!

This is one reason I prefer the US version over the UK. Sure, I love the UK version and it’s great, but Jay has such a better relationship with the ghosts and really covers for Sam when Mike kinda has an aversion to the ghosts. I so wish Jay could see them!!
as much as i love mike, i do think i prefer jay over him. i just love jay's love for the ghosts and his friendship with pete is amazing

Something I absolutely love about the US series is that Jay is having a relationship with the ghosts, poor Mike doesn’t have that relationship in 🇬🇧 version apart from one scene where he and Julian are flying a drone …seriously it’s a wonderful idea that Jay has this strange connection, be it invisible, with the ghosts ..mostly Pete , who would have been his best friend 😊

I wish they would get a Ouija broad into the show so Jay can talk to all of the ghost and get to know them. I just think its weird that they have not done that yet !
yeah that's a fun idea! they've done a couple seances so i'm surprised they haven't pulled out a ouija board yet, i'd like to see them do that lol

It sucks that he can't see ghosts. I wish he could at least hear Pete. They did that in the show Ghost Whisperer when a character showed up with the ability to hear ghosts.
yeah i'd like for jay to be able to see the ghosts, probably just temporarily not as a permanent thing but it would be still be fun for jay to see pete :D

How about a ghost who's power is they can show themselves.
