Hookah Bowl
c. 1700
India, Mughal
Cleveland Museum of Arts
The striking poppy motifs surrounding the body of this hookah bowl may reference its use for the smoking of opium. The patterns were applied with gold paint on the blown glass bowl; the neckpiece was made separately and attached. Cobalt was used to create the deep blue hue.

unbeatably exquisite, thank you for this Shreeraam!
Incredibly beautiful!!!
Excellent
Raghu Sir man!! Talk about becoming the composition himself.. Solid but sensitive to the core. My only regret is that he did not play for Brindamma... Would have been a dream combination coz I feel that he would have understood her music very well.
