I've been waiting for something like this, to be able to throw it into RWD with some drift wheels would be great fun. But 4WD looks like wicked fun also. Intelligent design and love the battery holder position, awesome for high speed road drift bashing. SOLD!!! I want this car! HELL YEAH!
Solid review! It's actually a pretty cool looking 'cop car' that you could easily turn into a speed runner. I like those other versions in the manual, too. I wonder how that off-road version performs..
Now you're telling me. Back in days I bought a Tamiya Toms Levin FWD. A while after putting the decals on I found out it has the protection film on it. Wasn't as clear as on yours. Could recycle the stickers. It doesn't stick well on the foil.
I think that chassis looks like a Tamiya TC-02 chassis clone. Cantilever shock suspension, battery location, odd drive shaft angle. Curious if the diffs are oil filled like the TC-02.
Pretty nice rig, though, the QC certainly needs some upgrading... I dont think I'd bother with the 2WD on that particular model... As always, a great review, thanks for pointing out the pros and cons, and keep up the stellar work!
Traxxas cars with the pro scale kit only turn on the indicators when the wheels are stopped. If it is driving and you turn the steering - no blinkers. Curious how many other blinkers are similar.
This is an excellent review. It definitely has some very interesting features. The lay down shocks are very much like some Tamiya models. What's the name of the company and have you reviewed any other cars from this company?
Mr Tomley, loving the content. Have an advice question. Just picked up the HPI E30 drifter. Looking at putting a set of grippery tires and nicer wheels for high speed road runs. Any suggestions 💚💚💚
I was entertained to see that you can actually watch the twin black lines of tyre debris (what Hammond calls "elevenses") form behind the rear wheels during the burnout. I suspect that most of these cats will spend their lives in 4WD - in 2WD it's like driving a Tamiya M06 on hard tyres! Yeah, good product, though. If this said "Traxxas" on the box, every fan-boy would be going crazy with excitement.
tomley i have a old but working tamiya lunchbox all vintage but no electrnics.. can u point me out what engine and esc i have to buy for such a old car.. want to drive it though
Great looking car but it seems like a lot of to fix for something out the box. Also, I would have to put the front headlights on a dial channel so you could open them slowly.💯✌️….
@ not bad, left one in box, possibly for a different build down the road, i run other one a few times a month very fun & fast, haven’t broken anything so far💯
I dunno how Traxxarse can be getting their knickers in a twist over lay down dampers. The Tenth Technology Predator 1/10 scale buggy of the early 1990s had lay down dampers on bellcranks when Traxxarse were still knocking out knock offs of the Grasshopper.
Nice one Phil! This is the first review/info i have been able to find about these sg pinecone forest 1004 cars. Only came across this car in a recent RCDriftTok Raffal. ❤ your channel!

A shame they never did it in Dukes of Hazard form, that would have been an instant purchase for me.
Licensing would’ve been expensive.

That 2wd would work great on a drift track. Cool looking rig

Awesome editing, I really enjoyed theos episode! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks John 👌
Fantastic ride and review, Phil! 😃
That's a heck of a rc car! I loved it!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Your editing on your running footage is just unreal. You do such a great job! Keep up the great work Phil.
A nice bit of kit, some nice features, maybe a speed run candidate...

3:28 wow inboard shocks....normally only see those on F1 type race cars.....
Very happy you did this review. I’ve seen it on Banggood and seemed like a cool RC. Awesome review!! 👍🏻😁
I have the Kyosho Fazer Dodge Charger VE
This is definitely aiming for that set
Yes 👍
@@TomleyRC KaniZ isn't answering emails anymore unfortunately, so mine is stuck with a bendy aluminum driveshaft.
Pretty slick, wish Kyosho had done the remote headlight covers on my Z28 with the RS pkg.
So cool, big middle finger to the brand. Drift King
The temptation to do this in General Lee colours would be, frankly, unbearable...
They do make lexan paint remover.....hmmm

It needs a amazon rc car 90db siren😍 Please do a video about it 😇
That needs a mad max interceptor police car paint job
I think they do one like mad max.
Baha your traxxas references are the best!!!! I would love to see some multi car comparisons this year, similar sized vehicle durability tests.
I’m sure I can throw some together 👌

Awesome Review!! The part where you hide the specs from Traxxas 😂😂😂😂😂
Hi Phil, like the design of the lights at the front. And it looks mean, I'd pull over if that was coming up the road. 😊
Cool car. Love the head lights

This is a Timely Tomley video!! I have been eyeing one of these on Aliexpress.
this thing is pretty damn sweet. that manual fwd driveshaft disconnect is cool.
Yes, just needs a bit more traction and maybe a better surface to make use of it
5:55 same round light desing found on Suchiyu 16303 , generic stuff
I love the video awsome car will look into getting one. Just wondering how the mega truck is coming along?

Chrysler really nailed it with the 68-70 Charger

Thank you Phil! Always great content awesome reviews, entered in the raffle last week . Dedicated fan here from east coast of Canada keep it up 👍
Rosco P Coltrane is finally gonna get them Duke boys
I really wanted it to have red and blue flashing lights too
Very noice! Those lights... Terrific!
Love that that is a nice setup. What is the price buy the way??
This is an excellent review. It definitely has some very interesting features. The lay down shocks are very much like some Tamiya models. What's the name of the company and have you reviewed any other cars from this company?
This is ‘Pine Cone Models’… they do the little 1/16 & 1/14 stuff as well. All their models begin with ‘SG’
@@TomleyRC Thank you.
Seems like a Great on road rc, other than the annoying setup one has to do with the gyro and plastic removal stuff
Saw this a couple of months back and I was hoping you would do a review and you didn’t fail me !
Cantilever shocks too!
thats pretty good for the price looks alright and does the speed
Whoop whoop that’s the sound of the police
This thing is amazing. The wheels look cheap but the rest of it rips
Can't wait to see the rally version
Man my newest combo just come in, hobbywing bl60 sensored esc and the brand new 2848 sensored motor I got it in the 4600kv flavor ;D
Coincidence.?? Was just thinking yesterday, that I'd like a cop car to chase down the Stinger etc. And this thing seems pretty cool.

Lol
You should film this chasing a drifter
I hope they make a buggy version as that chassis looks awesome
Hmmm that in board suspension looks alot like a lawsuit 😂
Hey phil, whats the little white camera youre using? thanks bud
Do you think the suspension is a bit overengineered? Cool maybe, but seems fragile.

It’s giving me kinda if you mixed Smokey and the bandint and Cannon ball run together vibes
Its a petty thing to be so annoyed by indicators, but by christ, it is one of the most irritating things in the world. Great video again, thanks mate.
I like it. I like it alllōt. Like you said the price is a bit much. I got TWO Losi 22s rtr’s for $3 less. The lighting on it is stellar.

That is just how they operate. Mercedes could sue them over portal axles if they were bothered by it.
Unfortunately they do. I bought a TRX4 in 2019. My first Traxxas. Probably my last too as I don't like they way they do business.
It’s got Mad Max vibes
